Oh to be young curious amazed n the imaginative again. Great video n I'm sure the treasure map was thrilling for her. I have been subscribed for years and making sure to turn on notifications because I've got a lot of videos backwards to go back through thanks for taking us along long on your journey
Thanks so much Justin! Kai loved the treasure map. That whole tour was a lot of fun. Yes for turning on notifications! It's the best way to know when we post. Thanks for watching.
We have been taking our kids to Mardi Gras in Nola since they were tiny. You can totally enjoy a family friendly version. Loved this. The Aquarium is also amazing as well as Audubon Zoo.
@@hopscotchtheglobe go to the day parades and stay out in the Garden District area. More family friendly. If you want an evening parade I’d try Orpheus and Endymion. Always fun!!
Happy Birthday Kristen. I wish you the best birthday that you can have in this new year of 2022 and pray that whatever your plans are for today all your dreams come true on your birthday today.
Thank you for coming to my hometown! WHO DAT! Morning Call has the best Beignets! Off Canal Blvd (Not Canal St.) Your daughter is gorgeous! Side note, I help open the Roosevelt Hotel as a Sous Chef. Once again thank you for coming to my hometown!
Thanks for the video. Your daughter is a beautiful mix of both of you. I've been a subscriber for a few years and followed your journey a long the way. Thank you for the information, tips and inspiration.
You're very welcome! Have you been to NOLA yet? It's nice to hear she's a mix between us both haha. I often get told she looks just like Siya. Thanks for watching all of these years. It means the world! - Kristen
@@hopscotchtheglobe thank you. I have visited NOLA many years ago and I'm due to go again. You mentioned a few things that I added to my NOLA list. When I watch travel videos and I see something I want to check out, I pause the video and save it in Google Maps as 'want to go' (green flag). There is also an option to add a note (I note who recommended it). I live in Minneapolis and I'm originally from Israel. Keep making great content.
Is there a video of this where Kristen and siya go to an oyster bar, the bayou lake where catching a fish and eat it at Oceania restaurant, the country club and all that in New Orleans?
So glad you enjoyed the video. I've included more in a blog post on our blog here: hopscotchtheglobe.com/new-orleans-vacation-with-kids/ The tickets for Preservation Hall are $25 per person. Definitely worth the experience!
@@hopscotchtheglobe wow...i'm really can't believe you replied my message. I live on beautiful island,Bangka belitung island province...i hope one day i can meet you in person
People always tell us there is nothing to do there with kids. Love this video! There are a few spots we're going to have to check out next time we're there too.
Wow I always thought new Orleans was known for just jazz and food! That ghost tour looked so cool! Are you feeding kai miracle grow cause she looks a foot taller from last video!
On a scale of 1-10, how badly do you want a Beignet right now?
15!
20!

Also that's so cool that you helped open the Roosevelt
Wow...you made me feel I was there! Nice video!

Yes! That was actually a TV show episode we did with travel channel so it's not here on RUclips. It was on TV :)
Great video thabks! How much was the entry inside the Preservation Hall?

Great review! We are adding New Orleans to our list, even though our kids are all grown up! When did you guys go? Was it hot?
Awesome! We were just there two weeks ago. The weather was great!

Whatttttttt!?! There's so much! We did so much, Kai and Siya passed out on day 4 because they couldn't keep up hehehe
Do you think the swamp tour will be too much wind for a 6 month old? I saw you guys were going pretty slow.
Not at all. It would be perfect. You can sit on one of the seats more in the middle of the boat and it would be totally fine.
This was very well edited! “Parts Unknown” vibes. This would be a great tv series (travel with young children)
Thank you! I had a lot or fun editing it :) - Kristen
What swamp tour did you do?
I put all the links and more details of our trip into this blog post: hopscotchtheglobe.com/new-orleans-vacation-with-kids/

Right?! There are so many sides go New Orleans. Kai is definitely growing. She'll be taller than me soon...which doesn't take much
