Elizabeth didn't deserve any of the crap that she went through in this game but she sure as hell deserved to dance in Battleship Bay when she was freed from the tower
Funny how in a society that looks down on the Irish, they have this (a traditional Irish song) playing in the middle of one of their most popular locations.
Because its usually the "new" Irish they look down upon. Tammany Hall for example, an institution erected by "Old" Irish immigrants, excluded new immigrants from making their way in New York.
It's typical really. The "higher class" citizens like music or something else from a culture or people they look down on and take it for themselves while still discriminating against them.
Having gone from The Songbird to this, my emotions are so conflicted right now... Literally just felt like I was running away from death that was inches away, to finding myself smack in the middle of a joyous celebration in an Irish bar.
ShearLunicy Yeah, I though that was a bit funny how the fiddle is often associated with the Irish and since in the game they are seen as part of the lower class of the game, makes me wonder why the fiddle would be featured so predominantly in the upper class Battleship Bay.
What i greatly admire about this game is how it is able to change from beauty to horror/from action to beauty and back with the most unnexpected action
I love how authentic most of the Bioshock Infinite soundtrack is. Much of it sounds like something straight out of 1912. Ah, Battleship Bay was nice, even though your visit was brief... no fighting, great music, great atmosphere, beachgoers could be a bit nicer though.
For the enlightenment of culture these are old time fiddle tunes often played for square or contra dances and are a big part of the time period this game is based around. The weird kind of accordion thing the one guy has is a concertina which are amazing... and are weirdly in so many games I see.
The first BioShock will always be my favourite out of the series and my favourite game of all time. But damn, infinite is really good it's a great game.
I started playing Bioshock infinite this evening, just got off to check out the song, it is so joyful that I need now to find the music sheets for it :D piano AND violin

Flapy Jack I've only beaten it once. I can never seem to make it past this point anymore 😕. It's the only time Elizabeth is really, truly happy and everything just falls apart after this 😢.
@@Cloudstrife112233 Same. I can't get past this moment. I consider myself a Bioshock veteran in that I've played the others several times. But I can't get play Infinite past this moment, I want it to stay there, or for Booker to have the option of taking her to Paris and screwing Comstock. Going into the end, or part 1 and 2 of the DLC... I can't do that again, hah.
Despite having little Irish blood my folks and I loved listening to "The Wolfe Tones" play Irish folk music. "The Ballad of Michael Hogan (Bloody Sunday)", " Some Say The Devil Is Dead", " On the One Road", and OFC "Rory O'Moore" were my favorites. So imagine little me with a shocked face hearing this jaunty tune of "Rory O'Moore".
The irony here is that these are traditional Irish tunes, and in Columbia the Irish were vilified just as much as all the non-white people were, which is a nod to the real-life attitudes that were prevalent at the turn of the century when the story takes place.
I wish Battleship Bay was at the end or something. I always sit on the beach with the gulls and the waves and clouds and procrastinate moving on because it's my favorite part of the game. It's too short.❤
All I want is that PIANO PART FOR THIS ARRANGEMENT seriously can someone please tell me where I can find it, I've been looking through the web with no luck. :(
You can dance with Elizabeth. Just keep pressing the space bar and move around
Joaq Wizard Phoenix ha?
He means that u r dancing like the people in clubs. Just jumping
Joaq Wizard Phoenix try this in real life as well?
"i dont dance" he says as he dances around.
Glad I am not the only person who did that

I agree
I wish Booker would have just danced with her 😢
I let her dance for a long time... Mostly because I wanted to learn that jig, but yeah. Dance on!
I let her dance too

Christopher Haines true enough but the south also was known for making fine fiddles

They should have made a DLC where you could dance with Elizabeth.
ForsakenMadMan
They danced in burial at sea.
They did and you know it
Burial at sea: Am I a joke to you?
it was sacarsm
ForsakenMadMan if this game was developed by EA it would cost 9.99😂
One of the main reasons for burial at sea was to put in a dancing scene

my alarm went off just as this song started and it was perfectly in rhythm with the song!
Pure genius ... I could listen to this forever.
Great games always have a great music
+이주애 you can say it: Fable Saga, Assasain Creed Saga, Castlevania Saga, Megaman & Megaman X sagas, Red Dead Redemption and of course, this one
Oh Elizabeth, a pure and beautiful young girl filled with joy, ;_; that broke my heart, but i can't even cry anymore! someone help ;_;
This makes me feel like sitting on the sand and eating ice cream. I enjoyed a lot being in Battleship Bay.
This music is feeling like an earlier past life....

It was so refreshing to listen to and see this in the game. It made it all the more sad that it could not last.
I can't stay away from this song. Too addicting.
I miss 1912 :( There weren't shitty electronic pop songs at beachs :(
Someone please make a 10 hour version of this!

Original tune from Enya - the hills of Ireland
IIRC, this is in the key of A, which means you have to play a tin whistle in E. It's an unusual key for Irish music.
It's sounds little like Goldshire in WoW :D
