I love this comment! Björk has certainly been a teacher for me. Her music, total autonomy and her artistry are awe inspiring and something to strive for.
Nice! Reverb is over used and acts a bit like a crutch in ambient I feel. It is all to easy to drown all in reverb mush and call it ambient. This was lovely and refreshing. Tasty!
Thank you so much! Ultimately ambient is about movement of sound and sense of space I guess. You can create that easily with reverb but it does make everything washy and unclear. The next challenge for me is to make an ambient piece without reverb and without a delay effect!
@@raafmodularit’s really hard to not use Reverb! Interestingly, I actually really like a lot of minimalistic, very dry electronic sounds, but find it hard to not just send everything through reverb when I’m jamming in the studio. D’oh! That delay does really give this patch a sense of space, though.
Ah thank you, I would love to create music for a videogame. Being compared to Nine inch nails is a big compliment. Their music has absolutely inspired me so thank you for the comparison!
Perfect! 👌As a biaspoint mentions, it's easy hack to drown a patch in reverb and call it ambient (and I do it all the time! :)) Creating an ambient piece without reverb is quite a challenge, but you did it perfectly and the track is great! We definitely want more! :)
Thank you again for your kind words! Removing the reverb lets you work in a more detailed way. I felt like I was making a rich embroidery out synth tones!
Thank you so much! Your words make me blush! ☺️. Björk has influenced me in a profound way. I was already makinf music but hearing Björks music made me want to become an electronic musician. Homogenic, Post and Vespertine have shaped me as a composer. Your words are too kind!
yeah i once made a thread asking people if one can make ambient without reverb/delay i wouldnt call your music ambient though (what i hear in this video reminds me of IDM like Bola), but it sounds cool regardless!
Thank you so much. That module is Laniakea from Magerit. Its a wild wavetable oscilator synth with onboard filter, distortion and reverb (which I did not use in this patch 😉) and is also capable of playing drones and chords. You can choose to connect several or all parameters of the synth to the big knob which controls all those different parameters. Its quite an amazing module which you do have to tame a little bit because it gets wild fast. Which is also the great thing about Laniakea. You can create many different soundscapes, melodic sequences or noises with it.
I really like it. It sounds like a dark ambient glitch with industrial overtones
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️
Bjork looking watching over you masterly like teacher to student.

I love your music... Great great performance and video.
Thank you so much!!
lovely restraint here
Thank you so much!
wow! that's super awesome and inspiring!!!!
Thank you so much!
This is very, very nice. No idea what to call the style. More is good.
Thank you so much! I will do these no reverb jams more in the future. ❤️
Honestly incredible, nice job dawg!
Thank you!
Yep; sometimes the machine knows best!! 😊. Loving this mate 👌
Those machines almost seem alive sometimes don’t they?
@@raafmodular indeed they do. Treat 'em well.. 😉
IDK why but this feels like itd be good in a videogame. Really like this patch. Good performance. Reminds me of nin a lil.

Thank you so much! To be honest I did not know the term IDM. I do know Bola and I love his music. Soup is such a great album ❤️

Great performance! What's that module with the rgb hockey Puck on it?

@@raafmodular ah thank you for the rundown! Will definitely check out Magerit
