While patching I noticed my beautiful new Passive operator box by Error Instruments. `i did not use it for this current patch for it is new, amazing but also wild! (It’s Error instruments ;)) But somehow I thought, let’s patch PO through a filter and play with it! It took me quite some time to recordthis jam. This jam went from epic huge industrial music with lots reverb, to small detailed ambient music. The patch wanted to be many things at once but whatever I tried.... I could not bridge the different musical styles. Wow. Amazing stuff. I instantly got motivated to write more music. Loving this. Also, seeing how fun it is to twist those buttons and plug those cabels, I'm on the verge of spending the fortune I don't have in order to have my own Euro Rack filled with a bunch of modular synths and modules 😄
Thank you so much, writing music is one of the great joys in life. Do think well before starting with modular. You need quite some time with it, studying synthesis and yes, it will break your bank account of you don’t watch out. On the other side, it has brought me immense joy. But GAS is a serious thing and you really do need to learn to pace yourself… anyway, I wish you a lot of inspiration!

very cool ! i'm really considering a LPG and DXG especially. Question if i may : do you also trigger plaits, or only DXG in this patch ? Cheers
Hi Bertrand, we share te same name. My name is Bertram which is the north european version of Bertrand 😄 I think with your question you mean if I trigger the internal lpg in Plaits and I think I don’t. I’m not 100% sure its been a while since I have recorded this patch. I do use a short envelope coming from my Quadrax module. The DXG reacts different in comparison to other LPG’s but if you work with it, it can create beautiful lpg sounds. Put an envelope in de ctrl input and you can make the sound stronger and pluckier of you put a multiplied singnal of the enveloppe or a gate trigger in the strike input as well. If you do not use an envelope into the ctrl input its best to put the ctrl knob between 10:00 and 14:00. The DXG really shines when you use it in stereo and it had no vactrols. Vactrols are being banned in the EU at the moment so its hard to acquire certain lpg’s. The other absolutely stunning sounding lpg is the natural gate by Rabid Elephant but it is really expensive and its mono. I love the DXG but some people are not happy with. For me it works wonders and I use it in almost every patch and performancs. Good luck im choosing a lpg module!

Indeed you totally understood my question (sorry if I poorly expressed it 😅) I watched a few videos and dig some infos about lpg and yeah the dxg seems pretty interesting especially regarding its stereo outputs and also reacting to dynamic gates … I also own a 0-ctrl so that might be handy. The natural gates seems amazingly sounding but totally not affordable ! I’ll wait a bit before pulling the trigger, and give my bank account some rest 😂 because I recently bought a ciat lonbarde Tetrax … 😬 so let’s be reasonable for a few months … if I can 😂 Cheers 🍻 and if you don’t mind please consider checking out my jams, you might like one or 2 if you put aside the shitty visuals ! 😂 🙏🏽👊🏽

Better than Marbles?
Hi! I have Marbles as well but they are totally different modules. I think Marbles is more suited for generative patches and for creating semi random gayes and triggers in your system, where Moskwa is much more “playable”. Both are great though!
