  • One of the most useful items of adventure bike gear you can buy is a top box for your 2023 Kawasaki KLR 650. Not only is a top box great for carrying stuff around, they can also be a back rest for your pillions, and provide another rack for loading up even more stuff! It's a great luggage solution for motorcycles.
In this video from Adventure Bikes Australia, I'm reviewing my Top Box. I take you through the features, the pros and cons, and whether or not I'd recommend it to you.
My particular top box is a generic fit, so even if you don't have a 2023 Kawasaki KLR 650, you'll still be able to fit it. You might need to get creative with your power drill, but an adventure biker always finds a way!

      Hahaha Gotcha!
Honestly, nothing. Personally I want something with a lockable lid. That’s all.

G’Day, thinking of buying a KLR 650S. Are you concerned or planned to address the Thermobob and Do-Hicky issue of the KLR? Video review of KLR? Cheers Martin

Hi Martin, thanks for reaching out. I’m based on the Gold Coast, so it’s always warm here, so I don’t see the Thermobob being an issue for me. My research indicates it can be a problem in cooler places, but that’s about it. The Doohickey has such a low failure rate, I’m not going to worry about it until I have to open the engine for something else anyway, like valve clearances. I’m writing my 12 month review of the KLR now, but just need time to record it.
