685 piston does wonders for the vibrations and oil consumption., and add a little more power as well. Mild porting job while the head is off doesn't hurt. Good question. The hole for the snorkel is at the top of the box, about ten centimetres taller than the bottom of the door hole. If you’re not crossing water, then it wouldn’t matter. But if you are, you’re going to be in trouble.
Have you checked the spark plug to see if it's running lean or rich after those mods ? I was told once while moding a bike the possibility of burning a hole in the piston if it was to run to hot.
@Adventure Bikes Australia Too rich the porcelain on the plugs will be dark, and while coasting down a hill you might hear the exhaust popping or even a backfire from unburnt fuel. @@adventurebikesaustralia7627 would a gen 2 have that too? And is that an OZ thing or world wide?
@@FirstnameLastname-pe3ky Hi mate, I haven’t owned a Gen 2 but I’m positive they also have the snorkel. I understand that it’s a slightly different shape, but the removal process would be the same.
@@adventurebikesaustralia7627 you reckon that removing this snorkel has any negative side effects? Surely this thing must have a purpose? Or is it really just to choke it and make it LAMS compatible?
@@FirstnameLastname-pe3ky It’s only been two weeks since I did it, but no I’ll effects so far. I’d recommend asking an official Kawasaki mechanic before you make your decision.
How much was the exhaust
Around $900 from memory. That’s AUD.
I got the 24 model and not a fan of the stock exhaust
Ta I live in qld and dose it void the warranty at all
@@shaneedwards3029 To my knowledge, no - you’re not playing about with the internals of the motor, so it shouldn’t.
When do u hold ur courses and do they cost and is keen for a ride on the weekends
No run run RRRRRrruuuunnnn? 😔
Hi mate, I’ve got a full sound comparison video here:
Hear the Difference: 2023 Kawasaki KLR 650 Exhausts Compared
ruclips.net/video/9xMrkbONAC8/видео.html
I don't understand this give it "MORE POWER" thing, IF YOU WANT MORE POWER BUY A BIGGER BIKE. 😊
It’s a KLR thing…..
Also happens with Suzuki DR 650 and LAMS bikes, it costs less to get your big boys licence.
More power would require it to have a vtwin and a 6speed
Hahahahaha wouldn’t that be lovely!
@@adventurebikesaustralia7627 it would, but a pipe for more braps is at least better to
@@alexmaccity Always!
Slip on not gona give you much. Complete exhaust re jet then you getting something.
I disagree. The slip on makes a pretty noticeable difference. And the Gen 3 is an EFI bike, so no rejetting happening here.
The power to weight ratio improved about 1.5% not 10% bro
Gotta disagree with you there mate.
Great vid mate carving your own path I love it! Now to combine smoking meat and motorcycles with a bikini competition and you will have created pure gold! Fantastic, great effort!
Hahahahahaha thanks mate. Although I don’t think anybody needs to see me in a bikini! 😂😂😂
@@adventurebikesaustralia7627 oh goodness I never thought of that!!!! Scarred!!!
yeah, 4 horsepower just from an upgraded exhaust? no sir, not at all.
Keep watching….
dont use oil on aitfilter! getting more dust on it!
The manufacturer’s instructions said to use it, so that’s what I did. Time will tell.
That exhaust sounds terrible.
@@slalomking Each to their own. I love it. What can are you running?
@@adventurebikesaustralia7627 stock is my sound, quiet
Your music is interfering with you voiceover
Yeah, I messed up the voiceover recording. Next time will be better.
Dont do it. Leave it stock.
Why’s that mate?
That's what i did in my moped back in the day. I have my doubts that this will improve anything.
If you’re going to do all that to your KLR what you’re really saying is that you just realize that you got the wrong bike in the first place
Hahahahaha Or that I just love tinkering.
So much fat shaming here... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lucky bikes don’t have feelings, eh?
At least she's making an effort to lose weight 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
I LIKE THE POWER OF MINE AND ITS A LIGHT BIKE AND I WONT GET TICKETS ITS ALREADY TO FAST HURRAH I LOVE MY KLR
I’m happy you’re happy mate! They’re a great bike!
There are dyno videos showing that with snorkel delete, full exhaust and tune the KLR is making less than 40hp and less than 40 lb ft. It's a complete dog.
Really? Can you link to one please? I have never seen anything like that.
@Adventure Bikes Australia RUclips doesn't like links but just search klr650 dyno and start watching.
I can’t stop laughing at this farce…. $650+ USD for , on a good day , using high octane gas for a pathetic 3 hp at redline?….hahahahahaaaaaaaaa
Hi mate. Unfortunately we don’t all live in the US economy, where everything is abundant and cheap. Here in Australia, if you want a decent Aussie made exhaust, that’s what it costs. And when you only have 40hp, an extra 10% is always welcome.
yep 3hp dont matter much for big fat americans who need to get bike seats removed that become lodged in there butt cracks surgically hahahaha
