Very cool! I thank you for the research. A lot of growshops sell those products even that they know that it isn't enough co2 to make an effect. Has only seen one shop stating "We won't sell you that stuff because it is ripp off."

the XL exhale bags last 6 months and say they take a few weeks to get to full strength production. i put 2 of the XL exhale bags in a 5x5 with 6 autos, after about 2 months, with the autos in mid flower, they are raising the Co2 to about 600-700ppm from a base of 400ppm, with some random spikes up to 900ppm depending on how often my exhaust turns on for humidity

As a beer home brewer, i can assure you that a 30 litre fermenter will produce a LOT of free Co2 but it's a waste if it's being sucked out by a fan and beer doesn't like light. So that's my 2 cents and great video. Congratulations on the 100K.

Keep your brew outside the tent, and run a rubber hose in through one of the lower ports/vents. Then have it in a jug of water, or a coffee jar with two holes in the lid. One for the hose, and one for the CO2 to get out into the tent. That would prob help keep spills down.
Say you have four plants in an average setup. If you place the jug/jar in the centre, between all four plants. Then any CO2 given off by your brew will be right where it is needed most. Even if the average within the tent isn't as high as you'd like it to be. That CO2 will be entering right at the foliage level of all four plants.
I haven't used one of those S shaped bubblers on top of a fermenter in years. I always just run a length of hose into a 2ltr jug 3/4 3/5 full of water. You're less likely to have a brew blowout, esp is it's a stronger one with an aggressive yeast. I would strongly suggest a little clip/peg to hold the tube snugly in place. Or drill two holes in the plastic lid of a large coffee jar. Takes to minutes to do that, and could save your brew. Or having to deal with a ltr plus of water spilling in your tent.

I've tried all of these methods with the exception of the compost bin - and I can confirm the results of your test Shane - the Airbombz was the only one that raised the Co2 significantly but as you said would cost a fortune to try and maintain Co2 anywhere near 1200ppm for a full grow cycle...!
So I ended up investing in a RAM Co2 controller - a solenoid controller for the bottles - and I bought 3 x 6kg Co2 cylinders on Ebay at around €100 each - it costs me £20 each to refill but the downside for me is I have to travel from Donegal to Belfast to get them filled - It costs me roughly £30 per cycle to maintain Co2 at around 1200ppm from an intital outlay of around €800....!

I don’t agree fully. I use exhale 365 bags & they definitely increase my co2 from ambient 400-500 to 1900-2100. This product requires a 30 day activation period vs the “pre-activated” regular exhale bag. I’ve used this product for years & have consistently been able to raise my co2 ppms.
I ask that Migro test this product against its “pre-activated” counterpart as a challenge to this video product selection!

I've ran both Bags & yeast in a 4x8. With 2 bags, At lights on it would start at around 1200 - 1400ppm average, but by hr 6 they weren't generating enough to do anything. With yeast I would run 4 3lt bottles with 2lt water in them and averaged close to 1000ppm for the full 12hrs. But, you needed to shake every day, I was also running lots of yeast & sugar, change 2/3 water every week ((before you shake it), once the water starts to become more ethanol it kills the yeast) & add a little more yeast & a lot more sugar, was going through 2kg sugar a week. When I did these I had a Co2 monitor to track it all and the yeast was by far the best, but was a pain in the ass having to shake them every day etc to get the most out of them, when I was trying to basically automate stuff.

I notice if the humidity is lower the bags slow to a crawl but if humidity is at around 55-65% they pump out a good bit of co2. Try that mycelium bag in about 30 days now that it got activated
I’ve tested a 8 pound bag testing at around 900 ppm for a steady 60 to 70 days adger the 30 day activation period.
Idk why Exhale domt tell people.

Anything other than co2 canister with controller or sealing up yourself with your plants in a room is just a waste of money. Speaking of, maybe do a test like this? Put some big plants in a sealed room and just sit there for an hour. Something like 4x4x2m should be a good representation of most bedrooms that homegrowers would put their growtents and i don't think anyone did that experiment on youtube.

It sounds like a pain, but a natural gas co2 generator isn’t of high cost and produces copious amounts of co2 necessary to make a difference.

use an F Zone fish tank generate with solenoid 100 bucks... 10kg of bicarb and 10 kg of citric acid. cost about 60 bucks and last 9 weeks. I have to reload it every 2/3 days, but I can maintain 1000ppm. it's hooked up to Digital IAQ Monitor Controller with Relay Function and lights out cut off. that you can get for under 150 bucks. This works well for me as the lung room is only 9x7 box room. so circulates well.

@cancer_sucks Not in winter. I have humidity issues in winter, so need to run a dehumidifier anyway, so sealing up and running co2 works well and the yield is always bigger than the summer runs. Plus with the co2 the plant can handle higher temps. But I don't get above 82f

A system i am planning for CO2 suplementation is a recirculating dry ice system.
a large plastic storage box with an intake and an outflow with a dry ice foam box inside. both boxes perforated.
The plastic box will have the exhaust from the tent go in and will send CO2 and fresh air to the tent.
The exhaust from the tent will run at a lower pressure / flow than the intake from the dry ice box craeting a positive pressure, the differential in theory would also pull in fresh air through the plastic box perforations...
As an engineer do you think this is viable in a 1sq/m.

The cheapest CO2 generator - yourself. PuT the grow tent in your bedroom and have the lights on while you sleep. In a bedroom with no mechanical ventilation and the door closed CO2 levels will easily rise to over 1000pm. Even in my 41m² apartment with modern mechanical ventilation the CO2 level is currently 650ppm in the bathroom where the exhaust vents are. ✌🏻

If you brew beer, I'd say 25ltrs of a decently strong beer will do a lot more. But your beer will be done between two and three weeks. Or you could just spend more time with the plants to raise the CO2 levels.
Both of the above are free. Or rather, the brewing isn't an extra cost.

The base ppm/30min readings are what they are but the readings in tent with plants from -279ppm to +63ppm. That would be a net gain 342ppm/30min from the Exhale CO2 bag to the Mother Nature CO2 @ +67ppm/30min. thanks guys

They definitely took inspiration from your aray 5x5 with the over sized heat sinks. They're claiming over 3 umol/j efficacy and it looks like they might have more diodes than the 5x5 which is insane. They are a waste of money & time. What about using dry ice in a cooler with a lid slightly open. I recommend using a co2 tank with a safety top & chained to the wall in case of falling over, breaking the valve off, and turning it into a rocket. Also note the dangers of flooding excessive amounts CO2 in the room or tent.

So right. Basically then mate i should just fart into the cabinet cup the little ones and throw it.
Its pointless I mean cos if you exchange the air in the grow then really you should be treating the big room the intake draws from. Otherwise you're just passing it away straight away into the exit vent.
What I like to see is a big bonfire at the intake Yankee candle on max draw. Not really no.

i cant prove its actually doing anything, but I DID run an active intake to one of the kitchen vents on the floor we normally keep closed. I figured if theres always somebody in my kitchen I might as well be getting some co2 out of it. The way I see it the basement where the tent is probably has higher than normal background ppm anyways because co2 is heavier right?

Idgaf what anyone says about exhale bags I run my tent pretty strong when temp is too hot for duct fan speed, and it doesn’t remove co2, I hang the exhale bag 4” above my clip fan the co2 falls down and the clip fan pushes the co2 at my plant, the food uptake, is faster, the growth is more vigorous, which is visually noticeable after watering and feeding, I have a 3x3-72”, I highly recommend the exhale 365*
