P.S. Note from me....I don't love how this video looks slightly purple OR how I used "an" instead of "a" in the intro. Ooops. My ending is also different (deleted) in this video. I just got a new laptop after many years and took this week trying to transfer everything over and get it ready for use. This left me slightly less time to perfect this video. I feel like it shows, and I'm sorry. I still stand by all my faves though, just wish this video looked better. Okay if you read this, you're awesome. Now go take a nap. xoxo
Honestly didn’t even notice any of that whatsoever, don’t be to hard on yourself super mama you’re doing great! Love the content, super educational as per usual 🥰
Also like the others comments I didn’t notice 🤷🏽♀️. You’re so right all these baby gear my Bree 🌻 is using right now ! My little girl is 3 months almost 4, I just want to tell you your videos are awesome 😎 you’re a cool mommy 💁🏼♀️
You are definitely more critical than any of us would be! I appreciate your honesty and good vibes as always, no matter if some things don’t seem perfect to you :)
& I love u both. Lots of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰 Dr. Madiha Arif's Health Diary on Facebook & RUclips If you gals join my group I will be on the 7th sky 💙❤️💙❤️❤️💜❤️💜
Love that you mentioned books! I don’t think enough new parents realize the importance of reading to your baby for brain and literacy development! And babies love looking through books on their own!
I would say that one of my all-time favorite items are they glow in the dark MAM pacifiers, haha! I found the light to be dim enough that it didn't bother my baby or keep her from sleeping, but light enough that she can find it in the middle of the night and reinsert it if she needs to
I have a 3 year old and 18 month and started reading to them from day one. They both love their book time. You can never have too many books!!! And the baby piano was a lifesaver for me!!! Also love the lilibaby carrier!
Yes I 100% agree with these, my boy is 4 months. He really needs to be entertained now and will shout at me if I turn away and look at something else 🤣 A couple other free things I have found are doing tours of the house and showing them different things. My baby boy loves this and is so intrigued. Music also has helped us so much. If he gets super grumpy and I put music on he goes super quiet (for about a minute and then he gets excited) Your videos have been so helpful and I love how real you are ❤️
You are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE mom RUclipsr - you have singlehandedly made navigating pregnancy and motherhood one of the most stress-free processes for me! I can’t thank you enough 🤍
I have a 4 month old and have been reading to her since she was 3 months. She loves it, and I make it part of the naptime routine. Barnyard dance and panda bear and polar bear are good books as well! I always read to my first born and it really helped with her talking and vocabulary. Every teacher shes had always asked me if she was read to as a baby. Even if you dont think they understand, they are still listening. 😊 Great video, always look forward to watching.♥️
Yassss to the books! We started reading to our little one when he was a new born. He’s three now and LOVES to read, he is really into learning new facts about history and science and likes to create his own stories. It really helps with building their creativity and imagination. Pop up books and sensory books were his favorite at 3-4 months.
My boy is almost 3 months old, which is perfect because I can watch your videos to see what I'm in for, and what things are going to help keep a calm household!
My baby LOVES the Sandra Boynton board books! They are short, have cute pictures, and several of them are song books. Plus, they’re cheap and widely available! I also agree on the Hatch, drool bibs, & mirror. Her other favorite things at 5 months are: dimpl wobbler & Sophie the Giraffe (with handles)!
Book recommendation - "I love you to the moon and back" - can get it on amazon. I enjoyed it so much, that I got it for my sister to read to her daughter.
Hi Brittany there is another option that is like the bumbo seat and it's called the Mega seat. Omg it's great for babies with more biscuits than others. My 3 month old boy is in 9 month clothes and he likes both seats for different things. Mostly the sit me up keeps them in a more relaxed seating position and the bumbo or mega seat tends to put their legs up higher than their bottom(think squatty potty lol) I have the tray attachment for the mega seat and I put toys on it for baby and he loves sitting in it while I fold laundry. You're doing great Britt and I wish your family the best!
My girl Isla was born shortly after Arrow & I LOVE following along your guys’ journey & can totally relate to almost everything 😂 except the sleep sacks...Isla refuses to transition & I’m panicking!🤪 BOOKS: Little Blue Truck, so so cute & would be a good nap time book! Longer but our favorite-Camping Spree with Mr Magee. Rhymes, adorable story, & illustrations on point!
Everytime I see your little one I always think how much her and my little girl lookalike, it’s scary how much they look alike 😅 Rivers only 3 months so still a few months between them but so similar! When she was sat looking at the camera, I melted, she’s so beautiful 😍 X
My little boy is 4.5 months and our go to books are good night moon and ‘guess how much I love you!’ I started reading it at bedtime when he was a newborn and now I have to read it every night, he always drifts off before the end it’s such a cute book 💙
I literally was just telling my husband how much I love your videos!! You always have the BEST ADVICE!! So grateful that i get to use Arrow’s journey as a guide for myself! Thank you!! Keep posting! 💎❤️
“Then suddenly, you have to turn into Jim Carrey“ -Brittany Oh my goodness 😂😂😂😂 that made me laugh, I feel like that being a daycare teacher! I kinda feel like Jim Carrey
My kids sat in the bumbo until 3/4!! The thigh squeeze doesn’t really squeeze them in a way to leave marks or cut off circulation but it does seem that way💗
The Family Book by Todd Parr is so sweet. I teaches about inclusivity and equality for different families. It was a gift from MIL and it is just so sweet we love it 😀 ❤
I work with babies in a daycare and you'll probably find that the glow in the dark pacifiers will be more helpful when Arrow gets a bit older and begins to self sooth, as if she loses it in the night, she can find it herself then settle back down. I've seen kids around 7 months start with this, so hold out for it and maybe they'll work then. Love your videos and watching you with Arrow! She's such a cutie!
Same! When I was half asleep and didn’t want to turn on the light just to put his paci back in, they saved my life. I just don’t “charge” them up all the time so they have a subtle glow
*Ingenuity baby base is soo awesome!! It’s small, tray stashes away in the base, can be used in soo many ways it is seriously the best. *glow in the dark mam is helpful at night when your baby lost their paci and your frantically searching for it and don’t want to turn on the light
I love reading and am so big on gifting books for baby showers. I also have a 6 month old.. There's a kids book based on the movie clueless I just recently found and I'm obsessed! Also, A is for awesome is so cute and so girl power!! The giraffes can't dance is one of my favs too!
I used to watch your videos as soon as they came out but since giving birth i’ve had no time! You are doing amazing with your little girl and i am slowly catching up with all the vids i missed out on x
Try the Hairy Maclary series, my daughter is now 15 months but still loves flicking through them and I’ve read them to her from birth. Another fav is Wow Said the Owl, good for colours.
I really like "Good Night, I Love You", "Love You Through and Through" and "You Are My Sunshine" (which I sing) all from Caroline Jayne Church... read these to my first and now reading them to my twins.
I have a 7 yr old and a 3 yr old, & here I am 🤗. In addition to your favorite books, we also loved Dr. Seuss books. And baby sign language was extremely helpful!
Hey Brittany...I am struggling with two things right now. Will it be possible for you to share your insights. 1. Regaining breast milk supply - pumping schedule etc. 2. How did you bathe Arrow since she was born? Did you use any specific tub or inserts etc. This would be really helpful. Thank you thank you...I hope you find some time to club some content in one video..pls pls
Another good teether is the banana brush it also cleans there gums at the same time. We also had problems with the bumboo chair our daughter wasn’t big but she just didn’t sit well in it we just skipped sitters all together and sat on the floor with her or used her breastfeeding pillow as one.
Just had my second baby in September my oldest is 7 will be 8 next month ! Love watching your videos! Love your energy! I love reading to my baby ! Sandra Bouton books are my fav, if you don’t have them i deff recommend them. The going to bed book, Belly Botton Book, But Not the Armadillo. The list goes on and on.
Don’t sweat the video problems, I didn’t even notice. My favorite book is “there was an old lady who swallowed a fly” 🤣 a classic! 6 months along currently with my first, thank you for your videos they’re very helpful!
Baby is now 4 months. I don't read for nap time. Only for bed time. I do read a book here an there if we're sitting around if she's bored with toys. Oh and I have a sound book of Old MacDonald Had a Farm, that plays the tune. She loves it. But that's not a before bed book lol. Favourite books are: The Magic Bunny and I Love You to the Moon and Back.
Love the video! Mine just turned 4 mos yesterday and I totally agree with the piano mat and sit me up, we love them. Books we love - ANYTHING BY SANDRA BOYNTON, they are so incredibly cute, have great rhythm to them, and are less than a few minutes. Any of the Good Night books are great, there's a whole series, including cities like Good Night Chicago and Good Night Cleveland, etc. I'm obsessed with the bibs with teethers on the end - genius. I also love, love Zipadee-Zip transition sacks because he still flares his arms out and needs them contained - but is too old for a swaddle.
My girl is 6 months and she’s loved mirror time since she was born!! We also underestimated how important books are now I’m scrambling to find a bunch haha Love that teether, I’ve never seen it before! Loved this video so much!
Every baby is different, but if you’re seeing neck control on their own, you could try out some assisted sitting like the sit me up! I wouldn’t rush it and sometimes waiting a week or two makes a world of difference!
If you don’t already own a copy of the book “wherever you are my love will find you” you have to pick one up! It was gifted to us by a friend and is honestly one of our most precious gifts. It took me at least a dozen times of trying to read it before I was able to finish it without being interrupted by a flood of happy tears. I’m very minimal but I can see myself keeping this book as a keepsake forever. It is truly such a sweet story, I won’t spoil it for you 😉
Indestructible books! They are so awesome, especially in this young age where everything goes in the mouth and the concept of gentle touch doesn’t yet exist.
The glow in the dark paci’s are great for when they are more toddler age. I remember my oldest could easily find hers if it came out of her mouth at night and put herself back to sleep.
lol baby rave😂I love the glow in the dark ones!! At first they are a little bright but after using them they def lose their glow over time aka I buy more😂
I love “giraffes can’t dance” and “moo baa lalala” are the two books I reach for the most and my baby enjoys the animal sounds I make. Another good heart warming book is “if i could keep you little”.
Hi Brittany - I’m a first time mom of a 3 month old, so fun following in your and Arrow’s footsteps - on books: you have to check out “King Bidgood’s in the Bathtub” it’s a classic - funny and beautifully illustrated. ❤️
Momma of 3 bebés and I love your reviews and honesty, you're doing amazing ! My little ones always admire my tattoos and like to make more tattoos on me with crayon lol
Yesss! I have a 4 month old and have been waiting for this one! So excited for the next age range up as well! You are going through everything 1 month before me so it’s so nice 👍🏼 💕❤️
Books for sure!! Check out Usborne Touchy-feely books, Karen Katz where is baby's belly button and any Sandra Boynton board book is great for short fun stories that are just stimulating enough without enticing your little to stay awake, check out blue hat green hat and moo, baa lalala. My 2.5year old still loves books and my now 7 month old is so fascinated by them.
The “Never Touch” books! They have textures and are fairly short or can be longer as well. Example: never touch a polar bear, never touch a tiger, never touch a shark, etc. I have found them on Amazon and target and the prices are pretty comparable 😁
Lol my little also had the chunky thigh problem (but they’re the best so chunky thighs for life), literally the whole bumbo just lifts from the ground when trying to pick them up out of it! The paper bag princess is a hilarious baby book, the ending is 🙌🏼
We have a huge collection of Sandra Boynton books, and my daughter loved them from the start & still does at 18 months! Barnyard Dance, Doggies, Opposites, But not the Hippopotamus, etc.
I love your videos, you are so honest and real. I am new to your channel and really gave me the push to re think about having a baby! ✨ you looked shining and beautiful with your postpartum body! It suits you! Congratulations to you and your hubby for your beautiful daughter! 💛 love from Australia
Finally u post the vedio I m waiting for it from so long I check my RUclips 10 times....my daughter is 9 days younger then of your daughter I enjoy your vedios so much ...
My baby is the same age and this is so on point!! Everything you named I use and my baby loves! Haven’t tried the glow in the dark passy tho lol I feel like I would like it because I always lose hers also the sit me up is so much better! I feel like she slumps in the jumbo
My son just hit 4 months yesterday(: he absolutely loves frozen RazBaby teethers... I highly recommend them for teething. Using bibs for catching that teething drool is genius. Definitely going to steal that idea lol
I'm so glad you included this playmat in your video!! This is the one I registered for because I thought the kick piano would be so cool. Then I saw everyone posting about the Lovevery one and it's so cute but I feel like it's not as entertaining for the little babes! Also, highly recommend all Sandra Boyton books :)
Hit second trimester today so I’m starting to get serious about our registry - this is so helpful! (And we already have Kyte and Halo sleep sacks because Black Friday 😅)
P.S. Note from me....I don't love how this video looks slightly purple OR how I used "an" instead of "a" in the intro. Ooops. My ending is also different (deleted) in this video.

Didn’t notice. Love you and your videos so much! I’ve loved all of them... but this was so relatable hahaha

I have a 4 month old and I agree with every single one of these!!
I Love you both ! I bought my Newton matress per your recommendation ! Would love a virtual collab of you two !💕

Love that you mentioned books! I don’t think enough new parents realize the importance of reading to your baby for brain and literacy development! And babies love looking through books on their own!
I don't even have kids but I love watching your journey through motherhood and how you keep it real!
aw thank you!!
Same 😂
My friend lets her kids color her tattoos (they're mostly b&w) and they love it!
that's so fun!
I only have black outline tattoos and I've always said they'll be my traveling coloring book one day lol
“And suddenly, they’re in a baby rave” I’m dead 😂😂😂
I would say that one of my all-time favorite items are they glow in the dark MAM pacifiers, haha! I found the light to be dim enough that it didn't bother my baby or keep her from sleeping, but light enough that she can find it in the middle of the night and reinsert it if she needs to
I second this
I have a 3 year old and 18 month and started reading to them from day one. They both love their book time. You can never have too many books!!!

Also love the lilibaby carrier!
Arrow could seriously be a baby model. She is so adorable and such a beautiful baby!
Yes I 100% agree with these, my boy is 4 months. He really needs to be entertained now and will shout at me if I turn away and look at something else 🤣

Dear ZOO is a great little board book, it's right up there with Goodnight Moon.

Thanks Brittany! Now I can’t get the idea of a baby rave out of my head 😂
LOL i'm telling you, full on baby rave when she had like 4 of them spaced out all over the crib. 😂
ABCs of kindness is a great book. ABCs of art is so beautiful and is good for the baby stage into toddler age.
baby books are super cheap at ross, marshall’s& tj maxx! also the piano mat is the best from newborn and up!
I literally was just telling my husband how much I love your videos!! You always have the BEST ADVICE!! So grateful that i get to use Arrow’s journey as a guide for myself! Thank you!! Keep posting! 💎❤️
If it’s at all possible, arrow is cuter and cuter in every video. I just love her
Chris Haughton’ box set of three short books “Shh!” - super nice for babies and toddlers too
I see the hard work in your videos! They’re always so presentable and nice!
“Then suddenly, you have to turn into Jim Carrey“ -Brittany
Oh my goodness 😂😂😂😂 that made me laugh, I feel like that being a daycare teacher! I kinda feel like Jim Carrey
This killed me cuz I had just watched the SNL skit where everyone does a Jim Carrey impression before this video 😂😂😂
Never even thought of doing a “tattoo tour”! Definitely gonna try that out I’m covered in them lol😊
My kids sat in the bumbo until 3/4!! The thigh squeeze doesn’t really squeeze them in a way to leave marks or cut off circulation but it does seem that way💗
The Family Book by Todd Parr is so sweet. I teaches about inclusivity and equality for different families. It was a gift from MIL and it is just so sweet we love it 😀 ❤

this makes a lot of sense! thank you xoxo
Pout pout fish is definitely my favourite! And any of the little blue truck books!
The glow in the dark mams were my life savers.
Same! When I was half asleep and didn’t want to turn on the light just to put his paci back in, they saved my life. I just don’t “charge” them up all the time so they have a subtle glow
Jessica Miller yes same!
*Ingenuity baby base is soo awesome!! It’s small, tray stashes away in the base, can be used in soo many ways it is seriously the best.

Yes! The Kick and play is awesome. Purple monkey in a bubblegum tree is low key my jam 🎶😂
I have a 4 month old & a 22 m old & you nailed it . Both of my babies are thick so the bumbo was a no . We love books !
Your daughter is adorable 🥰
There are some beautiful unique baby books here in Hawaii! My favorites are:
Down at the Beach
Hina
Twinkle, Twinkle, Small Hōkū
& Geckos go to Bed
I used to watch your videos as soon as they came out but since giving birth i’ve had no time! You are doing amazing with your little girl and i am slowly catching up with all the vids i missed out on x
Try the Hairy Maclary series, my daughter is now 15 months but still loves flicking through them and I’ve read them to her from birth. Another fav is Wow Said the Owl, good for colours.
I really like "Good Night, I Love You", "Love You Through and Through" and "You Are My Sunshine" (which I sing) all from Caroline Jayne Church... read these to my first and now reading them to my twins.
I love the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie set growing up, I added them to my registry today. It just warmed my heart
My 4 month old loves looking at my tattoos! Love this ♥️
I agree with every single one of these must haves. I have used them all & my baby loved them for a long time.

Love your videos Brittany! First time mom due soon so everything you’ve posted so far has really helped me get prepared and what to possibly expect :)
Aww congratulations!! You got this 💗
My 3.5 month loves staring at my glasses and my hair in a bun!! Lol the free stuff is the best!
I really love how you do these videos. So much space for people to do what they feels right but good amount of thoughts and advice on stuff
Love You Forever is the sweetest book. I still tear up now when I read it.
Yes!!!
Baby is now 4 months. I don't read for nap time. Only for bed time. I do read a book here an there if we're sitting around if she's bored with toys. Love that teether, I’ve never seen it before!
Loved this video so much!
Book: Pout Pout Fish! It’s longer but so cute.
Rainbow fish also
Thanks for the info, I have a 3.5 month old baby and didn't realize he should start to sit at this point, I thought it is early.

Very useful as always
Can you please make a video on baby sleep and how did you transition baby into her room ? Thank youuuu 🥰😘
Lol my little also had the chunky thigh problem (but they’re the best so chunky thighs for life), literally the whole bumbo just lifts from the ground when trying to pick them up out of it! The paper bag princess is a hilarious baby book, the ending is 🙌🏼
Omg I totally agree with the glow in the dark maams!!! My baby stays so distracted
Lovely recommendations! Where are ur glasses from?! 🤍
We have a huge collection of Sandra Boynton books, and my daughter loved them from the start & still does at 18 months! Barnyard Dance, Doggies, Opposites, But not the Hippopotamus, etc.
For books, the hungry Caterpillar is great
The piano kick and play was the only thing that got my 3.5 month old to keep her head up during tummy time!!
I hear this all the time!! It's so helpful with that 💗
I love your videos, you are so honest and real. I am new to your channel and really gave me the push to re think about having a baby! ✨ you looked shining and beautiful with your postpartum body! It suits you! Congratulations to you and your hubby for your beautiful daughter! 💛 love from Australia
Chica chica boom boom is such a cute book and it incorporates the ABCs, bonus!
"Purple monkey in a bubblegum tree" is my jam these days 🤣 that kick and play has been a hit. We just got a bumbo knockoff (Upseat) and it is awesome
Current skin care routine Please.....you charmed your skin
Don't feel bad if you weren't prepared with ya first Brittany.
I ended up learning as I went along soon as my eldest was born.
My sister & I loved Zin Zin the Violin, definitely going to be reading this to my baby in August!!
Finally u post the vedio I m waiting for it from so long I check my RUclips 10 times....my daughter is 9 days younger then of your daughter I enjoy your vedios so much ...
My son is 2 months today! Thanks for making this, I can start preparing for the near future 💙
awww yay and congratulations!!
@@brittanybalyn thank you!!
I have a 7 week old and find your videos so helpful. My little one has a tonne of books. A lovely book we were gifted is Mixed by Arree Chung.
My baby is the same age and this is so on point!! Everything you named I use and my baby loves! Haven’t tried the glow in the dark passy tho lol I feel like I would like it because I always lose hers also the sit me up is so much better! I feel like she slumps in the jumbo
My son is 10 and still loves 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' lol
I'm 26 weeks and can't wait to do the baby thing again. Thx for sharing
My occupational therapist told me that the sit me up is much better for leg and hip development and recommended we not get a bumbo for our daughter
Hit second trimester today so I’m starting to get serious about our registry - this is so helpful! (And we already have Kyte and Halo sleep sacks because Black Friday 😅)
Ahhh I'm SO MAD I missed the kyte baby sale!
I love the books ABCs of kindness and 123s of thankfulness! They are so sweet 🥰
5:42. I had sooo much trouble with tummy time. My two hated! It.
