Hello Doc, ask ko lang po if u were the one po who provided the true or false modification question quiz sa quipper. Mali po kasi yung answer which is "both statements are true" kasi base on ur discussion po, the ideal fasting time for lipid profile is 12 hrs (which is true) pero the second statement po which states "the tg determination can be measured in non-fasting individuals" should be false since only the total chole and HDL can be measured in non-fasting individuals, so the second statement should be false po. Therefore, yung answer dapat sa quipper quiz po is only the first statement is true. Thank u po in advance for the clarification and sorry for only commenting this sunday po.
Friedewald Calculation (Conventional Unit): 88 mg/dL
Friedewald Calculation (SI Unit): 72.41 mmol/L
Conventional Unit: 88 mg/dL
SI Unit: 72.41 mmol/L
Friedewald Calculation (conventional unit)
Formula: LDL = TC-HDL-(TAG/5)
Solution: LDL = 140 - 40 - ( 60/5)
LDL = 88 mg/dL
SI Unit: 72.41 mmol/L
Conventional Unit: 88 mg/dL
Computation:
LDL = TC - HDL - (TAG/5)
= 140 - 40 - (60/5)
LDL = 88 mg/dl
for mg/dL
LDL = TC - HDL - (TAG/5)
LDL = 140 - 40 - (60/5)
LDL = 100 - 12
LDL = 88 mg/dL
GIVEN: TC (140 mg/dL), HDL (40mg/dL), TAG (60mg/dL)
FORMULA: LDL= TC-HDL-(TAG/5) using the conventional unit in mg/dL
ANSWER: LDL = 88 mg/dL
88 mg/dL - conventional unit
72.41 mmol/L - SI unit
Given:
-TC = 140 mg/dL
-HDL = 40 mg/dL
-TAG = 60 mg/dL
Formula: LDL = TC - HDL - (TAG/5)
Solution:
LDL = 140 mg/dL - 40 mg/dL - (60 mg/dL / 5)
LDL = 140 mg/dL - 40 mg/dL - 12 mg/dL
LDL= 88 mg/dL
Given:
TC = 140 mg/dL ; HDL = 40mg/dL ; TAG 60mg/dL
Formula:
LDL= TC-HDL-(TAG/5) [ conventional unit in mg/dL ]
Solution:
140 mg/dL - 40 mg/dL - (60 mgdL/5) = 88 mg/dL
ANSWER:
LDL = 88 mg/dL
Using SI Unit: 72.41 mmol/L
Using Conventional Unit: 88 mg/dL
LDL = TC - HDL - (TAG/5)
= 140 mg/dL - 40mg/dL - (60 mg/dL÷5)
= 140 mg/dL - 40 mg/dL - 12 mg/dL
LDL = 88 mg/dL
Result:
LDL = 88 mg/dL (conventional unit)
answer: LDL = 88 mg/dL
Answer:
LDL = 88 mg/dL or 72.41 mmol/L
Answer: LDL = 88 mg/dL
Doc Von, ano po yung normal value nung random cholesterol and fasting cholesterol? Any book recommendation po for the reference of normal values?
LDL = 88 mg/dL
LDL = 88 mg/dL 🌻
88 mg/dL = 4.9 mmol/L
88 mg/dL 👼
88 mg/dL
88 mg/dl or multiply it by 0.0555 to get its mmol/L value which is 4.884 mmol/L
