How To Clean A Stainless Steel Water Bottle-Tutorial

In this video, I show you and tell you how to clean a stainless steel water bottle. It is a simple tutorial and I go over the basic steps. If you have a stainless steel bottle, it is absolutely important to clean it regularly. Even if you are only putting water in it, you should be scrubbing the lid, spout, and actual bottle using a scrubbing sponge and some soapy water. Once you have finished scrubbing it with the soap, you should rinse it with clean water multiple times to ensure that you have gotten all of the soap out of it and off of it!

I just wanted to let you know to help you out…I have this sane water bottle for my husband and I wash it for him. There is a gasket in the lid you want to pull out and scrub too. It has a little pull tab on it l. Then once the cap and gasket dry just put the gasket back in the way you took it out:)

Actually there are a couple of gaskets in these water bottles one inside the mouthpiece cap and one inside the actual top itself please be sure to pull them both out and clean thoroughly because the cap inside the mouthpiece one was black with mold which was causing the bottle to stink....

This procedure does not sanitize the bottle ! If you put about ¼ to ½ teaspoon of clorine bleach in a completely filled bottle and let it sit over night then rinse it out with water from a ZERO or any water filter or something with charcole you will be good to go. You can also buy a fat bottle brush if it makes you feel better to clean it to the bottom. Its a lot of info but select what makes you feel better.

I can't believe I watched a guy spend three and a half minutes washing the neck of a bottle and rinsing the rest. I kept waiting for the washing of the actual BOTTLE.
All you washed is an inch around the rim. And wasted gallons of water. doing that.

Yeah you do i use vinegar and a bottle brush i never use soap in my bottles for that reason

Rinse it. If it tastes soapy, you've failed and must needs rinse further...

this isn’t wasting water. you just don’t understand the infrastructure in the USA. all of that water ends up going back into a treatment facility, cleaned, and reused. not wasted.
