I LOVED DR. PARNASSUS for all the reasons Terry mentioned. It's very much a positive amalgamation of almost everything he's done, also narratively and technically it's very well crafted and beautiful to watch. Been a big fan ever since having my mind blown in 86 after viewing an early screening of Brazil. From Munchausen, my two favorites Fisher KIng & 12 Monkeys to the great Fear & Loathing to Tideland.

Love "12 Monkeys", thought about that one when the pandemic started. Münchhausen, Time Bandits, Lost in La Mancha, love them.
If he had directed Harry Potter then maybe I would have liked it.

Although he might be a bit too quirky for some people, I've always found Mr. Gilliam's work to be interesting and enjoyable.

I heard he’s been living in England since the 80s. Surprised he hasn’t picked up an accent yet. Love this guy

Terry is an acquired taste that hasn't aged too well. He sure has had a "hit or miss" track record. His films seem like clever eye candy and star vanity projects with a little gut punch of messaging sprinkled in somewhere in the film. Of course, the old me doesn't see anything the same as the 1980's-90's pot smoking wanna-be-intellectual me. Of course I'd love to see another Brazil. I was so amped about Zero Theorem until I saw it and found it to be a bit of a muddled mess. Maybe in late career he could make one more gem like a perfectly aged bottle of cognac.

this is what makes me sad about the latest generation of people, who have always had high speed internet since the day they were born, and they can't possibly even really imagine a world without it. So how are the latest generation of people supposed to behave when they have been got since day one.....indoctrinated by tech....its bad enough for me, born mid eighties, glued to screens, thinking that that's reality....
