If Mitsubishi wants to be back among the brands that brought excitement when it introduced the original Eclipse, they need fresh product. The current line in the US are for people who are desperate for a car and can't get a loan for anything else since Mitsubishi basically gives their cars away. If they were infused with some cash and allowed to create highly desirable models, say like Mazda's resurgence and pushing into the premium space, they could be seen as a Buick, Acura competitor in the mid tier premium segment. It would take parent company Nissan pouring some cash into the brand and allowing them to thrive.
New Pajero Sport or Montero model testing is going on. The Pajero model is related to a Triton pickup truck, so some design elements carry from the pickup. This is a DST concept like the Mitsubishi XFORCE 5-seater.
