Hi there, we did Diplodocus in Max and Vray (modeling, setdress, lookdev, lighting and rendering), Maya (animation, modeling), Houdini (FX) and of course Nuke (comp). Unfortunately we dont use TyFlow in this project. Btw I'm super happy you mention me in your video. Thanks for that!
Hi Eloi, its 8 parts for now with around 4-5 parts more to come, usually you call me Michel Shk”i”aryk and I was so used to you pronouncing my name this way that when you said “EvaFrise” it caught me off guard 😅
Hey Eloi, according to your knowledge, can `3Ds Max` export all system in the project (Such as `Simple Rig System` like robotic rig system, `Link X Form`, `Animation Slider`) into `Unreal Engine? Is that Possible all the system i mention can be exported to Unreal Engine? I ask this because 3Ds Max Viewport very left behind, and some how some projects i currently work only need visual from viewport. I really hope 3Ds Max can improve the viewport significantly.
"less time and even better" Saying that shows how clueless you really are. You can never model in Houdini like you can in Max. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a lier. Even modeling simple things with Houdini can become very complex and mostly unintuitive. Houdini is awesome for many many things and i really love it. It's awesome for procedural modeling as well. but for just simple modeling tasks nothing beats Max. Houdini is absolutely an amazing piece of software, for proceduralsim and simulations nothing beats it.
@@darthmalicos9973 Yeah, basically the modeling portion in max is really strong also If you do archviz you can't use Houdini efficiently for that but other than that Max lacks in every other aspect. Plugins do fill some of the void but other than straight up modeling Houdini is real king.
@ I have been making a living (and good money) making things faster in max than in houdini. Houdini has his strenghts for sure, but its very slow for fast turnarounds or dramatic changes on the direction of a shot where you need to change drastically your setup. Going to LA next week for the VES awards, nominated for best simulation (and I worked in 2 other nominated vfx), all done in max.
@@darthmalicos9973 Why do You come here? People using MAX professionally know what Houdini and Blender are. You 'blunder' evangelists are unsufferable...Go, create something good in Blender, get a job...

Hey Thanks for featuring my city render!

Love to watch all you updates. It's remind me why I love 3ds max ale 3d in general.
Thanks Eloi!
Love Autodesk 3D Max ❤❤❤

thanks - how did you create the roof? is that part of the tyflow plugin?
@@johnny5132 yes, i just have a spline that define the perimeter, the modifier creates all the slopes.
@@andvfx thanks ill give it a try
im not sure how you did it? did you add a tysplinemesher?
@@johnny5132 yes, tysplinemesher, and then use the new straight skeleton option there.
max isnt only for archwiz people dont know how to rig or nimate in it
💪🥳💪😎💪🥰
This not Max news, as the title says, it's plugin news.
which is extremely useful by itself
Genuine question, why do people still use 3ds Max when Houdini can do all these works in less time and even better ?

@Aviba so the only thing where Max beats Houdini is hard surface modelling ? Damn, then Blender and Houdini are the future

This is one of the most annoying things about 3Dsmax. You need a third-party tool for everything otherwise you dont get anywhere in this lifetime.
That's it's main strength. The same with Blender.
This is one of the great things about max, its plugin ecosystem system
awful
