Since when was Kevin Ammons, Whitney's bodyguard? I thought he was a wannabe Singer from a struggling R&B Group who stalked Whitney to get a Record Deal, who also slept with her trifling ex Publicist Regina Brown. Now he was her bodyguard? It's disgusting how some people leech themselves onto you when you have money. Since he never got that Recording Contract he decides to sell Whitney out in a cash grab book. Whitney and Michael Jackson had to deal with so many grifters and extortionists in their entire careers. It's just SAD.

This is hilarious. There is nothing scandalous nor criminal about this guys tell all. And I don't get why people keep saying she had a coached and fake persona when that was clearly her profession. Whitney was always outspoken and straightforward in her interviews, except in the early ones when interviewers were nicer and she was trying to be a polite newcomer.
He tells a lot of truth, I think. This is just my speculation as a fan. I agree that if Whitney could have found a way to enjoy the fans' attention and ignore the media, she probably would still be alive. I don't think Whitney enjoyed the celebrity lifestyle, the money, fans, any of it. Unfortunately, you can't be the most successful singer and be elusive. I think that Robyn tried hard to protect Whitney's peace. It seems like Robyn was controlling, but the reality is that no one in Whitney's life had her best interest and seemed to be real friends and family but the Winans and Robyn.
Whitney said she wish she could turn the celebrity off. To be a normal person, she said this by the time her second album was out. She was that damn popular. So by the time the bodyguard hit she was in the stratosphere of where Michael Jackson was. She said she would go to his house and just sit together and not say a word. She said they didn’t even have to have say a word to each because they understood each other. The silence was like a silent conversation so deep that it was like they were each other’s mirror.
She obviously enjoyed every bit of being famous. It's just she didn't like her private life being publicized and scrutinized. Unfortunately, that's the price you have to pay when you're a public figure.
I think a therapist is mandatory for any celebrity to handle the stress that comes along with fame. It might have helped Whitney back in the day to work through her issues without using drugs as a coping mechanism.

Well the reason why she kept a distance from her family and especially her father was because he stole and used Whitneys money. I think that Whitney did love her fans and she did a lot of humanitarian work that most people don´t know about. I think that Whitney was hanging out with the wrong people and people that just said yes to her all the time and did not try to help her out of her addiction. I know that it was her own decision to use drugs, but if you have people that truly want the best for you and can say no to you when it comes to drugs, then I think that maybe she would have gotten clean and could maintain that type of life.

The end of the video was interesting regarding the appreciation for her fans. I've always said that Whitney was more distant to her fans in comparison to other superstars like Mariah, Celine and many more... But despite that she is still my fave.

He wrote this book while she was still alive and she was interviewed and naturally denied everything so yeah she knew about this book, I purchased it when it first debuted back in the 90's in the paperback form and I still have it and yes she did promise him that she would help him with his singing career, which she didn't do. Patti LaBelle was going to do it but Whitney stepped in and took over but it never sufficed. I'll bet if anyone asked Patti LaBelle about it she would probably confirm it to be true

Instead he became one of her bodyguards. Whenever possible try locating the book on Amazon, plus there's a young lady here on RUclips who has it and she is reading it to the public and she read it out loud, The Book is entitled GOOD GIRL , BAD GIRL BY KEVIN AMMONS, just because she's Whitney Houston that doesn't mean that she can't break promises just like everyone else, Love her dearly but she 's only human, but broken promises are also a part of life

@@verahall6498 no I’ve already read the book. A lot of things in his book overlap and make no sense. For example he said Cissy slapped Robyn at the Super Bowl. Yet Cissy did not go to the Super Bowl because she was home recovering from her foot surgery. Anybody can write a book and say anything doesn’t mean it’s true. You’re repeating verbatim from him without taking in account that he could be telling a lie. He claims he was Whitney’s bodyguard yet we have no proof we see no pictures of him and Whitney with the paparazzi.

The book was not completely true only some parts.A lot of his information came from Whitney's then publicist he was dating at the time.A little came from him because he was only around a little while not very long to see anything.I really am skeptical about what the publicist or the bodyguard says so I don't know who was telling the truth.
