I got ghosted all through childhood after I was baptized at 8, but then me and my dad decided the Superbowl was more important than church. After that I never went back. Completely ignored after that.
My last written message from the church was a pre filled out resignation form. All it needed was my member number and my signature. I took the hint and did it properly through quitlds. I have never looked back.
It's so weird. I slowly disappeared from the church around 5 years ago. Even though my mother has moved my records every time I moved, no one has really reached out to me in any way.... I sometimes wonder if my records have the *homosexual* Mark on it and that's why they've left me alone.😬
I got an email from the Bishop after I shared my reasons for leaving and gave a peaceful goodbye. He said I was the only safe person at the church for his kid who was dating a person who is trans so I had to come back. I told him something is really wrong with his church if that is true.
I received a group email, at work, on my work email, sent by a colleague, from their work email that started with, "As a fellow member of the Church of Jesus Christ..." and then went on to talk about how "we" need to fight against the evils of same sex marriage (I'm a woman married to another woman). Needless to say, I was in shock!! I did address it with our administration and with the colleague. SMH!
I love it when they put it in writing, makes the HR complaint so much more legitimate & actionable! God bless you, coward proselytizing indirectly at work. 😂
Im only noticed if I pop into sacrament for information gathering by members that will be used for gossip. So have learned not to share anything in detail.

"I miss you because I can't socialize with you unless you're at Church," yes, that is so sincere 😁

Absolutely hilarious! Who would have thought of this? It could be our true reality. We miss your money please join the club.
