Hey I want to order one now. The best described video I’ve seen this last past week while trying to make up my mind on which interface to get. Can u live stream with it on your pc? Do u have a email where I can contact u?
I bought the kickstart for this, and I don’t entirely agree with your review, so I’m wondering what your responses are First, my biggest issue was that when I hooked it into my computer to use it as my audio interface, there was a slight delay between what went in my microphone and what went into the headphones. I was able to confirm with the manufacturer that was happening, although at first they didn’t believe me. The delay is probably a quarter of a second or so? The problem is, that it creates this artificial sound when I’m trying to monitor myself while recording. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to talk when your headphones are a little bit delayed, but it can make it very difficult and tiring to talk. Because you’re always moderating your timing to try to match what you’re hearing but you never can. Have you noticed this issue and hooking to a computer? When I use my scarlet interface, it’s monitor system does not have this problem. And I would try monitoring from the computer directly, but first at defeats the purpose of having interface, but second the delay is even more. The other issue I have is with the com) function. The main thing being as I recall, and it’s been almost a year since I tried to use it, but it was extremely unclear how it supposed to work, and it seemed like it didn’t remember the settings that I had. And so I had to reset them each time I powered back up. Believe the settings that weren’t remembered had something to do with Bluetooth and reverb and that sort of thing. Once I set them as I wanted to restart, then it seemed to work fine. But I do like to power down my equipment when I can, and so having to reset that is kind of annoying. Some other small issues are the way that the Mike inputs work, but I don’t recall exactly what my issue was, I think I had something to do with the 8th inch jacks I would’ve preferred a different kind of a jack.
Sound you're hearing when you hear yourself in your headphones is called "Talk Back " to ensure that you are not squealing or humming etc. Great Video demonstration. Bravo ..Just received my Squarock podcast equipment kit today .. wish me luck buddy Thanks
Hi, saw in your response you purchased a Squarock Podcast Equipment Kit. I purchased my first one over the Christmas holiday. I'm brand new to pod coasting /streaming. I think this is something I may enjoy doing, but I'm still in the development stage where I'm kicking around platform ideas. If I do a live cast or stream I'd like to have a platform that is useful, insightful, and provides a value to the listener. I'm curious what you think of the squarock setup you have? I have the V8S. I'm still learning to use it. So I can't really comment on it but to say so far it's been easy to use considering I know absolutely nothing about pod casting.
Whats up all. BEYOND WORDS GREAT Lo Knows! Keep it up. Rock rock on!! A little out of my budget as newbie but seems like its everything I'll need later on. Peace
Thanks for the review, @LoKnows! Do you know if it’s possible to record from a phone call? Like if I wanted to interview someone, but they couldn’t do an in-person interview.
Great review, just one quick question. When you made the call to your son, did you hear yourself talking on the mic when you used headphones to monitor the call? Is there any way you can turn it off so you don't hear it but the other person can still hear it?
Great review, you go into so much detail. Im almost at the point of purchasing this set but I have a couple of questions, hopefully you can answer them. Are all 8 effect buttons customizable? Also, does this one have auto tune?
Output for music ... To where? You gotta be specific there . If u wanna output into live stream , you can use 3.5 mm or otg usbc .3.5mm plug into Phone1 port n then to your phone .. if u have usbc data cable ( data transmission kind) plug into the otg /PC port and the other end into your phone device .
Ok this is soooo cool!! im wanting to start streaming and im looking into some cool boards and this one is pretty cool! I haven't gone through the whole vid yet but does it do sound effects also? because im looking for a board that does that!!
New Sub here! Great Review. I'm looking for a setup to start my own channel, I also write and play music. Will this interface with a keyboard/synthesizer as well? I'm now considering this one or Maono Caster E2 Bundle. I love that this comes with 2 mics, in case I can convince my wife to broadcast with me.
Love that Video! Brought so many clarity to me. Silly question, I have an ATEM mini with which I make recordings. Would you connect the Commander M1 via jack?
When I am charging the unit and using at the same time the light interface in the from starts flashing and makes heart beat sounds. Does your do the same? Or I have issues with the unit, I just purchased one
@LoKnows I want to buy a soundcard / All-In-One Podcast Bundle Kit for going live on TikTok and possibly playing live gigs. However I want to plug my Electric-Acoustic and Electric Guitars into the soundcard or podcasting system. Does this All-In-One Podcast Bundle Kit cater for that and what advice do you have for me?
You can do either/both, and choose the audio source "live" using either the cam mic or the squarock mic for the feed. Or you can record your cam audio into your audio capture software via a PC interface to allow for a second audio clip. The M1 does not allow you to separate audio outputs into individual files. What comes from the M1 is pre mixed, captured independently but uploaded as 1 audio file.
Hi. Can someone help me recording sounds in PC through Squarock commander m1? My cubase software doesn't recognize this device at all. Also while tried recording through audacity, the recording is not smooth/continued. It gets interrupted in between(total blank)
I just picked up the M1 and I’m new to all of this. Trying to setup the two XLR mic inputs as separate tracks but can’t figure out how. Can anyone help?
If I wanted to record a video with my phone using this audio equipment, how do I get the audio from the mixer and headphones into the actual video? I am using a similar Squarock product and I am having trouble getting the phone to pick up the audio that I am recording into the microphone.
My guess... capture the audio into Audacity or audio capture software, then import it into your video editing software, match the wave patterns from the phone and use the best audio file. (Tip, you can cut, crop both audio files to maintain sync).
I see that this is an old post back in 2023, you should have set it up into a PC so we can see what it would sound like through Audacity or another recording software on a PC. That would be very helpful.
I've been using the AME2 for about a week now and the reason I'm on this video now is because I want to return it and am looking for an alternative. The AME2 just has so many issues, I don't want to use it anymore. The monitor playback is full of digital noise, the Sennheiser mic I'm using sounds great through monitor but when recorded is super low and cuts off the beginnings of words (I've tried all the EQ tricks I know as well as a different mic but nothing helps), and it has a bunch of features I hate- particularly how it doesn't save your settings when you turn it off and you have to readjust the denoise, reverb, etc. when you power it back up.
I got this off of kickstarter and there are a LOT of improvements that could have been made or needless functions that could have been scrapped for something better. The lack of other XLR microphone support. the fact that you can only use two of their proprietary mics and then whatever. The stands for the mic are terrible. the mics pick up EVERYTHING in the background. the pop on the mic is bad. the connection port on the mic is not standard. The cable ports on the back are kinda loose. the bluetooth function will just take over your audio input/output sometimes. the knobs and sliders are not sensitive and you only see real volume change at high or low. the output/monitor are confusing. the sound effect recorder is very wonky with sound quality and volume no matter what the source. you can not do button functions together... its fun and cool. theres plenty i like but to be lost for anything wrong?? common man
Bruh, tell me how you really feel. Sorry to hear you experience, it almost sounds like we are talking about 2 different pieces of product. I won’t deny your experience but I had none of those problems. Although I complete agree with some needless functions.
Hahah. Not the best I have EVER HEARD 🤣 I guess I should’ve been clearer. For all-in-one podcast interfaces, and we know the types, this one is the best I’ve ever heard…until the next one 😅
@@WB-uk9gq Oh no, which one? I have to admit. Awesome video! I have a question hopefully you or someone else can help! I have the squarock commander m1 2 mic setup package I brought. I can hear phone calls via headphones connected to phone via aux/lightning jack or Bluetooth. I’m recording audio only podcast and can’t seem to figure out how to record a remote audio interview. I’m using a MacBook Pro, garage band, and m1 commander. Thanks for any help in advance!
I wish these companies would stop making these kinds of things with locked in sound effect buttons. Why not just give us 8 customizable buttons and thats it? Or, even better... 12?
I purchased one and the unit was faulty, I had to replace it after 3 hours of use. The second one we wanted to use 3 mic the other mic that comes with it sucks and the whole unit is not quality at all. I just got ZoomP4 worth every dollar you spend more on that. The unit is solid, the mics are 100 times better.
