Nice hatching. Really cool. I am currently hatching 8 eggs and on Day 18 now using the same incubator Nurture Right 360. Hope to have the same success as you have. Cool Vid Thanks
That is an amazing hatch rate for shipped eggs.. You clearly have some great methods! I ordered some of this years Live Duck/Turkey Chicks from TSC/Hoovers and meanwhile since ordering them I've bought & hatched several batches of chicken/duck/turkey/quail eggs from eBay lol. Next year I'm trying Meyers for my Live Chicks because this wait has been unreal.
What “method” did you use for your hatching? I’ve heard the hybrid dry method (no water first 18 days and then water on lockdown) works great. Curious to know how you had such a successful hatch? Any tips would be great!!
@@hatchingchicks1014i was going to get the $400 brinsea. But then realized that's half of what the gqf goes for... I would rather get this one for 150 is what I just payed for it on Amazon.
What did you keep your humidity at during the process for the first 18days, lockdown, hatching? We have the same incubator but haven’t had great success with shipped eggs.
You probably need to be around 30-45% Humidity during the 1st 18 days. (Depending on your local climate) During lockdown around 55-60% humidity is usually suitable for most.
@@bri0013 Hey, I’m still figuring out my humidity and I’m really overthinking this. I’m from An hour away from Houston, TX. from my understanding the colder it is. The less humidity you’ll need. Whereas where I live it’s not too cold not too hot, but we do have more humidity. So would we also need less humidity for the incubator? Still trying to get this right
@@jaimerodriguez1332 being as how you live in Texas on the general sense your climate typically runs drier than mine here in Georgia. Generally the colder it is anywhere the lower the ambient humidity so that being said you should probably raise it up some. Get a barometer perhaps or watch the weather and get an idea for your humidity. You will typically operate your incubator between 35%-65% respectively depending on time of year and weather conditions. Hope that helps.
@@bri0013 yes it’s making better sense. I’m keeping up on the weather daily since my hens are laying almost daily so as soon as my current clutch is done I’m ready to start another one. Trying to hatch as many before it gets too hot

nice video, i tried my home made incubator for the firs time did not follow the lock down rule proper had bad experience, feeling guttered and guilt. Only tow successful hatch
I love this so much and I can’t stop thinking about it
Great video! I love a happy ending😊

How did tour hatch go?
@@avkuehn Thank you for reply. My hatch went well. I had 8 eggs and all 8 hatched :-) They are about 6 weeks old now. Thanks have a good one.
@@jasonnotary2605 what day did you eggs start hatching
Good job keep it up, we'll see. 👍
Thanks, will do!
nice video and you were great explaining things, love the chicks.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.
I gotta try this hatchery. Had some bad luck on eggs from eBay

Wow! eBay can be tough
great work man
Thank you! I am working on a Guinea hatch now.

Nice video!
I have eggs in the incubator and today was lockdown these things better start hatching or I’m a lose my mind lol
I know the feeling! How’d it go?
I couldn't sleep until 3 in the morning worried about temp, day 17.
This incubator seems to be rock solid from the reviews I have seen. Best for the money. Gonna order one now.
It works great really. Brinsea incubators are better but way more expensive.

Have you gone from sheep to chicks, Andy? Seriously these are so cute.
Covid hobby! :)

Hey I like your rating! :)
Yeah baby boy ❤
After shipping how long u have to wait plus what room temp
I am glad you had good luck with Meyers. I have not. I also would not chose to set porous hatching eggs.
I’ve had pretty good luck with porous eggs!
What happened with your egged I ordered 2 and they were developing but I’m day 21 and no chirping at all
Good👍❤❤❤
They're cute
Delightful!
Thank you!
What kind of popper did ya'll use?! I call all my hatchlings 'her'.....as in I hope she is ... Be a bummer if they were all roosters

How about the xray? Does if affects the fertility of the eggs? Thanks
It didn’t!
Did u do dry hatching or wet hatching if dry how much was your humidity and if wet how much humidity did you keep it at
Hey, how did you guys measure the humidity? I don't know how
This incubator has a humidity measure.
Wet, but I don't think humidity is real important until the final two days.
Hi I got mine from them to I’m on day 21 and no hatch
oh man! sorry
Wow wow wow wow wow wow ')
Thanks!

Lower humidity works fine... like 40-45%
Meyer hatchery shipped eggs seem to be totally different than most of the shipped eggs I have received from ebay.
What incubator are you using?
Nurture Right 360
4:48 Were you feeding them candy? :-)
Makes for a good hatch rate! :)
Now I want candy 😞
How often do you turn your eggs that you manually turn and is it a half turn quarter turn or how much? Thanks
3 times a day, rotate to the opposite side. Use an x and o
Thank you fir that info 🙏
scene in heaven ')

Hey at least two hatched!
At what point did you remove the first batch of chicks.
Only remove chicks after they have dried completely
I don't find its that crucial as long as you have a warm lamp to put them under.
Why the circles around eggs ?
The circles on the top measured the air cells! 👍🏽
Did you pick the breeds or was it random
I picked some and then picked an assortment of eggs.
@@avkuehn can we see an update on them ?
