I absolutely love how this video turned out, and I'm so appreciative of everyone who took the time to be in it. I also appreciate y'all watching! Thank you! I'm trying to tag Parker Kligerman in this comment, but the option won't pop up. Parker isn't just a NASCAR driver, he also makes great RUclips videos! I watched his new Supra review yesterday, and it's a great way to spend your time after this. Here's his channel if you want to subscribe and support him: www.youtube.com/@Parker_Kligerman
We also have a brand-new parter in this video, as y'all probably saw! Apex Coffee Roasters rocks - they support my friend Brad Perez in NASCAR, and they wanted to extend to my channels as well. Apex's founder, Brett Jameson, got into coffee through F1. He took a camera to the USGP in the mid-2000s, and he ended up really loving photography. He wound up in a lot of coffee shops editing, so he got a taste for it and decided to make his own! Brett rocks, and the Apex branding is so cool. Gulf colors! Anyway, thank y'all again for watching. It's because of you that we're able to have any partners at all
I feel like there is a distinct lack of NASCAR content of this manner on YT. It's hard to see such a large American motorsport so underrepresented on youtube. Glad to see you making a video on it!
Thank you so much! I agree. I know there's an audience for it, but I don't think I've hit it yet. : ( My clickthrough is really low on this one! I appreciate you watching and enjoying it : )
NASCAR….hear me out…hire Alanis to do some behind the scenes work! This video was nothing short of brilliant! The in depth behind the scenes of NASCAR is very fascinating to watch!! Alanis, you’ve done a brilliant job with this! I’m waiting for the day you get behind the wheel of one of those cars! Brilliant Alanis! Just brilliant!
As an Aussie, some great insight to the world of NASCAR. A great video Alanis & editing & music integration. Well worthy of getting to 100k subs very, very soon. If you get a chance at the next race & Shane Van Gisbergen is racing. Try to catch up with his partner Jessica Dane. She is a part owner of Triple Eight Race Engineering who run Red Bull Ampol Racing here in Supercars, to whom Shane drove for. She has been a Team Manager for a car at the Bathurst 1000. And has done TV for the Australian Rally Championship. I think she would make an awesome interview given the interest in Shane joining NASCAR & Infinity series.
I totally agree! I’ve been wanting to grab them, but they’re easing SVG into American media, so he’s not super available yet! I’ll try to get him soon though 🤠 Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Alanis. As a car enthusiast, I love your passion and respect your accomplishments as an automotive youtuber/journalist. As a racing fan, I love how involved you've gotten in the industry especially NASCAR. As a professional classical musician, I appreciate the music selections for the videos lately ;) This is an excellent video; I love that you get to do this.
The production values of this video are very high. The videography, the music, the way in which you formatted everything and your explanations work so well together. A lot of work and care went into this, and it shows. Great job, Alanis.
Great Video. New follower to Nascar because of SVG. ( Yeah Im an Aussie 🤣) So learning as much as I can. Theres so much more to it than I thought. So much strategy on those ovals and every oval is different. Its just nuts and Im now a converted man. The more I understand it the better I like it.
Great video. I grew up on NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt. I don’t watch it anymore since the introduction of stages and playoffs really turned me off but the pit stops are the best to watch in all of Motorsport and the cars still sound glorious. I’m happy you had fun!
This is genuinely one of the best videos on NASCAR I have ever seen on RUclips. From the track itself to the people behind the car, you covered it all in stunning quality and energy. As someone who also likes to upload their perspective of races, this makes me overjoyed that someone of better capability is doing something great with it. Keep up the great content!
Great job on this video, Alanis and team. It's a great explanation of how NASCAR is way more than just left turns. I'm just sad that we missed you at Texas this time around. Maybe we'll see you next year, if you're there.
Thank you for sharing the inside workings on how a NASCAR race works! Getting to hear the engineers and other vital crew members' explain their jobs is super cool!
Yes! This video is great. Seeing the banking in real life with y'all running up it makes a huge difference in appreciating it so much more, and how it affects how they are used rather than just seeing the cars tilt a little on TV and not thinking too much of it.
After watching your awesomely well done inside NASCAR videos I really want you (and your cameraman) to make it out to a national championship rally sometime
Great and interesting video! Fun fact over here - back in 2007 I was that exact person who thought nascar was dumb and I went to TMS only with hopes of seeing a crash. That first green flag waved and I’ve been hooked ever since! Appreciate your effort in getting different people to talk about what they do! Your passion for the sport shows. Bonus fun for Apex coffee on board! They do put out some tasty roasts!
Ahhhhhh I LOVE that we have such similar experiences. All it took was the green flag! It’s such a special experience. Thank you so much for watching pal 🤠
As a 50 year old Scottish guy, I fell into the trap that Nascar was just turning left. It was only after trying it on iRacing last year that I suddenly realised, hell this is fun! Now I spend my Sundays looking for dodgy streams on Twitch to watch the races! As a newbie I love watching content like this (though it is hard to find) to help my understanding of the sport, especially when it is presented in a fun but educational manner from someone as knowledgeable as yourself. Oh and I never realised the banking on these tracks was so steep - it's only when you see people on it that you appreciate this! Btw big shout out to you and your husband for the quality videos you produce! I really appreciate the content. Thanks!
I’ve been a NASCAR fan since ‘05. This info is very insightful even for advanced fans. The camera footage makes me super jealous. Also I hope by commenting here this video goes viral so you can get that RUclips $$$ and buy health insurance 😂.
This was brilliant! Keep up the good work! Would love to see more content like this between the top 3 series and the differences between power house teams and smaller teams.. plus other stuff that goes along with a race weekend at a track (vendors, staff, haulers, camping, tailgating, etc) to give the overall experience! Sad i have to come to a youtuber to get great content like this instead of NASCAR but I always prefer the passion and detail from youtubers! Well done!
@@AlanisKing Have you thought about doing videos on the fan zone? I usually attend Richmond but this was the first time attending Dover in almost 20 years for me but I have to say Dovers fan zone is so much better than richmond. so much to do. Wonderful video and not only is it great to see the content (which is amazing, as someone who doesn't follow NASCAR these in depth looks are so engaging) but the presentation & production is getting ever more refined, this one had the right blend/volume of music and narration. I would love if you did an introduction to racing ovals from the viewpoint of sim racing since your husband has such a great viewpoint. I would love to try it out, I just know so little how to start
This is a really good idea! It would be hard to do from a footage standpoint (he likes to keep his face hidden, and it's hard to do compelling B-roll when you just have a rig), but we'll discuss!
@@AlanisKing just simple things like translating what an ideal "corner" for oval racing looks like would be huge, it's surprisingly difficult to find that information
I lived in the Metroplex most of my adult life, till I retired back to God's Country. Been to that track many times after it was built. Super job granddaughter (-;
@@AlanisKing I did some math for you. Tommy Joe said it is $25,000 for 1 set. 20 years ago when the last Subway 400 was run at Rockingham, Rusty Wallace's team bought and mounted 16 sets.
