(Some people thought that was fake & were also getting flagged by talking about the full roster) I'd think Josie would be a safe pick. Will talk about it more, but for a surface level idea of my thoughts without the leak, refer to the comment section & the vid itself.
We will. Just not right now. It's for the better, as BN would make monster profit, Josie/PH fandom will be satisfied with both the gameplay/visuals of her char & word of mouth will be improved all together We'll win.
Josie might comback but her moveset might lean into Filipino Martial Arts more like Eskrima, because her moveset is Eskrima + Kickboxing which is okay...but wouldnt it be easier to lean more to FMA. Also, people did find it strange that she was speaking pure English and not a single word of Filipino, plus her personality has people coplaining. So my guess is that they chose to just completely repackage Josie since shell probably have a new Moveset/Voice lines/VoiceActress/Personality anyways. Prob in a DLC to make some $ cash money $ as it would be weird in a business standpoint to waste her.
I wholeheartedly agree. Her speaking english is the Lili/Hwoarang effect: Not speaking their language until a game or 2 later. Dlc exists now, so you can package that now for Josie to generate positive word of mouth & peronal improvement from TEKKEN 7. Josie being dlc seems like an easy way to capitalize on the success of her external project usage in tekken 7. Also consider the special character intros between Kuma & this coffee lady. They have the budget, resume & goal to pull off Revamping Josie in a meaningful way
Ultimately we know nothing about this newer character's movelist regarding the notations. The animation did look similar to Josie's, but the application could be more like Kat's for all we know? (Wouldn't put it past Namco)

My Josie story featured how Josie & Kuma reunite with the context of the 2 characters working together because of the loss of family through the current war. This could be the opposite in that Kuma is the only one at loss & Josie could be the supporter, but not as fleshed because of how dlc's character stories are handled. Who knows?

I highly doubt it tbh. I would say her Tk7 assets have been ported over, but that wouldn't dismiss Namco revamping Josie as DLC in a realistic way. More accurate portrayal to her PH roots as a fighter/ character, (.i.e. speaking Tagalog) would print out too much profit.. I think she'll be in for dlc
True that, when josie came out in T7, i felt so happy and proud that Tekken released their first ever filipino fighter and that it just comes to show that they acknowledge the Tekken fanbase, especially the Philippine community. and that i'm very proud to play a character that represents our culture and background. Yea, I've been having a slight hard time thinking about how they'd picture Kat & Chloe for DLC. They'd sell, but would they SELL like Josie? Chloe is campy enough to have char special intros in TEKKEN 8 (especially versus Coffee lady) & DLC means you can half Bake the story part. Kat does need Gigas to function, but I'd think that they would match her with Kaz for special intro DLC to dodge that. Josie is versatile cause you can have coffee lady & Kuma char interactions (& it would work in context)
True as a josie main and filipino tekken player, I highly agree! i just want josie to change. like give her a new personality and stop the crying shit and all. and also revamp her fighting style to Yaw-Yan than Eskrima since Yaw-Yan focuses on kickboxing combat. while eskrima uses kali sticks and bladed weapons and all. its uncommon to see eskrima based kickboxing tho and that's why they stated that she's equipped with muay thai techniques and that people say she's a replacement to bruce. And having some of his moves/assets. 🥺🇵🇭💔

What I love about the PH demographic in my videos is that y'all find a very easy + welcomed criticism to Josie that I'm sure that Namco would actually implement now: Revamping the character's moveset/personality & letting her speak Tagalog. Even if she's still a vulnerable character for TK8, you can still match her with this coffee chick for dlc special intros. (Kuma too) She's too fitting to not be apart of the dlc roster. (Bruce stans can't cry about Josie's new moveset either. That would also let him return if BN allowed it)
hahaha. Hopefully they address rage quitters as well. I haven't played ranked in years & it's just unfortunate that the antagonism for Josie is so vocal. Not dominant thankfully since Josie is actually valued & highlighted statistically speaking. Hence the constant support from the TK team.
Also, with AzucenaI think its funny that they replaced token brown girl with new token brown girl if Josie really wont come although I wouldnt place money on it
Josie being future dlc makes too much sense. In that case, wasting what they created for tekken 7 would be a waste all together, so leveraging off the assets with coffee lady opens the creativity to overhaul Josie & potentially Chloe/Katarina's movesets

Isn't her crouchdash is more like Katarina's Harrier than Josie's CD? I'm not familiar with Kat.
In notation & execution, it's a Mishima cd. Minus the loop that Mishimas & Bob have. (Josie's)
Katarina's Harrier is F(3 or 4, I forget).
