I'm half-Asian on my mom's side. Her great grandfather was General Tso who fought in the chicken sandwich war against the Mongols. Today I work as a fry cook at Popeye's to carry on my family's legacy. War... chicken sandwich war never changes.
How I wish greedy corporate America worked that way… if people stopped shopping there the first thing the top brass will do is layoff any and all innocent workers they can and outsource any and everything they can.. you know, opposed to pulling the price point down for the average consumer and hunkering down on marketing..
About your points on the rising increase of fast food prices; the only way I even buy fast food these days is if the restaurant chains offer significantly reduced prices on their mobile apps. If not, it's not worth the price. I would go to regular sit-down restaurants over paying regular fast food prices.
More people supporting local restaurants & less chains is a good thing. Everyone wins, except the BK franchisee who decided it would make good business sense to spend 400(k) to open up a Burger King in 2023.
I could potentially write a more intelligible comment, but that whole thing about the frog was hilarious and an interestingly accurate comparison. I don't even eat fast food. Why am I watching this? Idk it's great though.
I like that, “Give them nothing”. I’m going to try that… I’m going to order, then when they ask for payment I’m going to say “Brian Griffin said to give you nothing, huh no not from South Park”. Oh never mind.
Given that I've worked in fast food for almost two years, yeah I get complaints about the menu prices at where I work and how they went up since the time I actually got hired. Can't say I've ever been threaten with a gun while on the job (knocks on wood...) but I do get a lot of people angry at me for the prices even though I just work there and get even more upset when I don't give them a discount on their order that they are apparently "rightfully owed" out of no where... Now I want a BK chicken sandwich, thanks for that, Brian. (Good work as always! Loved the aerial shots you added. I love seeing that stuff. :) )
If this video were animated a-la “A Goofy Movie” you’d look like a mouse, and the idea of a mouse complaining about the cost of fast food is hilarious. Also, three hash browns, three sandwiches, one medium coffee, one smoothie from McDonald’s was $30 this morning. Ridiculous.
So this is not really about BK, or fast food really, it’s about food industry as a whole. Grocery prices, gasoline, everything is more expensive. Should we just boycott everything?
I see what you mean. There are countless other industries, goods and services that have inflated for sure. But with this channel being about food, it's what I focused on. There is a certain amount of opportunism in the way that fast food prices have increased, which is not unique. But with fast food, there are other options. The appeal has always been that it's affordable and convenient. But in a world where a Big Mac costs $6, half of that appeal vanishes. And with the Big Mac specifically, it doesn't cost that much because it has to. It costs that much because they know they can.
@@brianmarkgriffin thank you for your reply, huge fan of your vids. You’re definitely right about the role fast food should play within the food industry as a whole. They should be trying harder to create more products within a lower price range, instead of adding on a few extra ingredients to make it seem more “premium”, even though they end up competing with chick fil a and Chipotle at those price points (and they will never be able to compete with them just based on quality). I will say I have seen a push from fast food brands to have more bundle/ mix and match deals to create value and those aren’t bad. Here in Minnesota and I think most places nationwide whopper Jrs are 2/$5 which is a pretty good deal
Thank you for saying that. There are absolutely deals to be had, and I hesitate to argue with their market research. It's how they have gotten where they are. But it's hard for me to imagine that there are people out there that just want Burger King or McDonald's to be more premium. I don't think that's what they are for.
After the VID, I went to eating @ fast food joints 2-3 times a week , to once w every 1-2 months… and that’s because McDonald’s has Free Fries Fridays- for my kid. The prices are way off the chain at some of these places.
I uploaded an ai voice cover of you

I don't understand how Burger King is still a thing. I've literally never heard someone tell me they had or are going to Burger King.
I don't think I would ever choose it over McDonald's, especially if it's directly across the street.
"I have a lot more to say about it than I can fit into 60 seconds" followed by a 4:30 video, he wasn't lying
THAT was four and a half minutes?? It flew by...😊
What keeps me coming back for more of your channel is the humor, wit, and sometimes intellectual nature of your content. I love allegories.
Here lies Brian Griffin. Sometimes intellectual.
another great vid. please keep em comin

What do you do? Simple. Don't buy.

EVERYTHING is on fire. If fast food prices keep going up, these places will be too before long.
I can't heart this. I would prefer that the restaurants not burn down. But I do heart you.
@@brianmarkgriffin i heart you more brian. We still need you to run for president because the people deserve lower fast food prices

I'm not even sure if that was an allegory.
Got a Burger King ad before this💀
That can't be an accident

“I’m the frog” merch coming soon?
BK trying to come up with a new innovative idea:

All the breakfast crap was buy one get one $1 and it was still $30, like what the heck
If we listen to each other's heart, we'll find we're never too far apart.

Pretty soon the only people who will be buying fast food will be content creators, the rest of us will live vicariously while eating Top Ramen 😂

It's not the employees fault that inflation is a thing, and hurting them is only going to make you look like a dumbass.

The thing about capitalism is it gives us more options. so like he said people need to stop going to the places that are screwing their customers.
