I really love how you described the different components of padlet. It made so much sense to me. i watched three other padlet tutorials and yours was my favorite. Thank you so much.
This video was very helpful. I have been recently introduced to the Padlet and it is really great to know the different ways to use it in the classroom. Thanks again!
i am also a teacher but you are a thousand times more tech savvy than me. i feel kind of left out. this padlet thing i need to get to grips with; i can see that it will ramp up the quality of my zoom teaching to another notch. thanks.
Peter Chow 🤗 thanks! I love the idea of integrating it into your zoom meetings! Super innovative! Let me know how it goes! Like seriously, I love hearing feedback and experiences!
Thank you for you video and I particularly liked your presentation style. I really liked seeing how Padlet can be used at the beginning of the video though I would have liked to have seen how you made the binders for your students.
Patricia Britton yes! There’s never enough time in the school day to finish grading, but who wants to lug around all those papers and projects! So glad you found this video useful!
Hello Mrs. Talktechie! Awesome videoooo! Question, can you please explain how you do your Padlet to post the binder notes? Right now with virtual learning it would be perfect to organize journal notes. How would you create it and share it so the kids don’t mess with it?
Technical question: Thank you for your commitment to teachers. I am a new teacher and we have been shown so many resources however, I work with an EL population and the complexity of technology I can use is limited. My plan is to have a padlet with four links-students and parents have one website to visit. Link: 1) Google Classroom (instruction), 20 LSS Instruction site (There is a LSS site, but it takes 12 clicks to locate the student site-which is unrealistic-so I am going to put the student site (LSS curriculum), 3) Resource Link (Web page with available EL resources), and 4) Student/Teacher assignments/submissions. Goal: I want Parents submit their child's work (One of the four links on Padlet). This is what I understand from watching this video and Padlet for parents - can you clarify - offer suggestions. Padlet 1: Teacher padlet for grading (no student view) Padlet 2: Student/Parent web site with all important links (math/reading/science in one place) Padlet 3: Student/Parent padlet for binder and submission of work Periods 3 and 4 Padlet 4: Not available Question 1: I have 65 students-I am not able to have 65 padlets. Solution: put all Period 1 students on one padlet. However, does that mean the all parents and students can see the other student's work? (Not allowed-student privacy?) Question 2: I have 6 class periods-I can have 3 padlets. Solution: put 2 periods on one padlet. However this results in rows (30 ish) per padlet. Idea? Question 3: Is it acceptable to provide a link to your padlet for parents on my Google Classroom site-I change web address to "Padlet for Parents from Mrstalktechie" (Is this sufficient credit or how would you like for me to reference you?)
Oops! Another question. How do students (or parents) submit their work? For example, they have a picture of a piece of paper where they draw something and they want to 'post it' or submit it to the padlet. What do they do? Maybe they have no access to a google classroom, just their phones to work with. Once they access the padlet, how do they put their work on it? Maybe the answer is in the video 'padlet for parents' - haven't seen it yet.
Graciela Maleh no worries! 🤗 so if you are providing your parents/students with the link all they have to do is click on it from their device and then they will have access to the Padlet and be able to upload the picture/assignment.
I created a padlet and assigned it to my Google classroom. When I tried it with students, their comments never posted to the bulletin board during the live lesson. What did I do wrong?
Great videos! Thanks for all of the wonderful content. I teach grade one. Would it be worth it to connect a virtual classroom to Seesaw and Padlet? Would that be too much? I was thinking of linking/housing items such as weekly notes/updates to parents in Padlet as well as regularly used items such as sight words. But, we have to use See Saw. I like Padlet and have used it. I am new to Seesaw. So, do you think it would be okay to use both?
blessed I love Padlet, it is an oldie but goodie! However, I think you need to gauge your parents, since you’re working with 1st graders and see if they can handle multiple types of LMS
Mrstalktechie I know.. I am having trouble explaining. How do you get your video of you talking-right on all of these slides, etc. as you are demonstrating?
Tina Marie oh ok! I understand! Screen casting! I use Camtasia, it’s a video editing program. However, if you want to get your feet wet first I would totally recommend screencastify (google chrome extension) or Screen cast-o-matic (download from web) both of those are free. 😍🤗😍
Graciela Maleh hello Graciela! Thanks for reaching out, no the students do not need an account at all. Once you share the link of the padlet they can contribute and interact anonymously, which is a good and bad thing all at the same time. So I always make the setting to moderate, just in case kids have the habit of posting something unproductive or inappropriate.
If you would like to use your 1st padlet as a template, you can go into it and "remake" it. You can find that feature at the top right corner within your first padlet. However, you will have to issue a new link for your day 2 assignment. I hope that helps, if not, feel free to message me back. You can also find me on facebook, instagram and twitter under @Mrstalktechie.

You are amazing. What platform do you use to have your video right on these slides/padlets that you are demonstrating? How do you do that?
Tina Marie do you mean how to post a video in Padlet? If so, check out this video at minute 23:50 ruclips.net/video/9Ydw4TVdNXA/видео.html
Tina Marie if not, what do you mean? Can you explain? I would love to help! 🤗

Mrstalktechie Thank you so much. Have a great summer!
Maybe it is obvious but... do students have to download padlet as an app. and/or have a padlet account in order to interact?

@@mrstalktechie Thank you!!!
Can I share Padlet in Canvas. This is our new platform for Virtual Learning.
Maria Sapp I have never used Canvas, but if you can add a link, then you yes! You can add your Padlet link! 🤗
I have a question. Can a column be assigned to each student, so that their assigned work be like a portfolio of their work?
Ginny Spencer yes, just not sure how many columns are allowed under the “shelf” Padlet option.
I would like to know how to make that second padlet for the same class. Different assignments for Day 2.
If you would like to use your 1st padlet as a template, you can go into it and "remake" it. You can find that feature at the top right corner within your first padlet. However, you will have to issue a new link for your day 2 assignment. I hope that helps, if not, feel free to message me back. Can we make copyrights to our work in padlet?
Qat Reena honestly I’m not sure how that works, I’ll definitely look into it though!
@@mrstalktechie Thank you very much 🙏🏼
