Not saying he's gonna be the next MJ or even Kobe, but he's got that dawg in him. Everyone forget he was only 19 his rookie year so he still has plenty of time for growtg and and height-wise started at 6'4, but there are legit sources saying he's grown up to 6'6 now. He's very competetive and really cares about playing defense. There are a lot of players out there, specially in the SG position like Lavine, Derozan, Booker, Jalen Brown etc., that are great at some things, but from what I've seen so far, ANT could be HIM if he continued to work! He has that killer mindset, athleticism, defense, IQ, alpha mentality. I'm really looking forward for him to succeed.
Lol, you think he is literally still growing in height? No way, you believe that he's still growing? In his game there is room for growth because last year he was in the bottom 20 in WS48 which predicts how efficient you are as an overall player and how many wins you contribute to a team based over 48 minutes. He was even on a winning team and was still at the bottom. That's really hard to do. He's been much better so far but the next MJ is already dead. Maybe the next Kobe. Super inefficient, hyper ball dominant, taking bad shots to end the game, and be a borderline all NBA the whole time but because your teammates are good, you get MVPs. That's where Ant is right now. He's the 3rd best player on his team.
@@chuckdeuces911how can he be the next Kobe wen he is light years more athletic den Kobe ? Sound like ah Mj prodigy to me
Ant is 6'4 maybe 6'5 with shoes that rumor was cleared to season ago If he grows taller that would be great. Jaden McDaniels did get taller tho sophomore season
He's the closest that I have seen do that MJ leaner dunk.

According to Jordan's official measures at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 he was 6'4 and 3/4 and not 6'6 like the NBA and Bulls had him listed his entire career so that would make Ant the same height as MJ, NBA teams were known for tweaking the heights by an inch or two for various reasons something that was fixed in todays NBA with a ruling that requires teams to list the official players heights without shoes.

@TheJayofthejungle Yes sir it’s a solid point. Good things take time, even for the 🐐
We’ll see if Antman can follow that trend when the playoffs come around
@@joshcarsonjc3Jordan didn’t get insanely good until his like 6th year. Like you said it takes time.
@@Fartyguyhe averaged 29 as a rookie he didn’t have a good squad until year 6
MJ averaged nearly half of his team points year 3. Just sayin
People tend to leave out context when it came to Jordan losing. Jordan was on a lottery team who were competing with championship teams such as the Celtics and Pistons whose rosters were filled with HOF players. Many people give Lebron excuse for losing to Golden State despite having Love and Irving but too much emphasis on Jordan losing in his early years.
Patrick Beverly already made that claim like 5 or 6 months ago and whenever you want Anthony Edwards play you can see it. But just because he plays like Jordan doesn't mean he'll reach that level success but I hope it does.
nobody saying he gonna be the goat or even be in that conversation but he has the potential to be an all time great
Scalabrine is the White Mamba, not the Red Mamba. Put some respeck on his name! 😂
Ant man reminds me of Michael Finley and not Jordan.
Same. I thought the same thing.
Anthony Edwards has a little Air Jordan in his game, and a little Dominque Wilkins in his game as well. Anthony Edward's game is stealthy because he can shoot the three, he has a nice mid-range game, and he has Dominque Wilkin's power in the paint and above the rim.
so he's Jimmy Butlers long lost half brother?
@erikponciano At this point, anything is possible 🤷♂️ 😂

In this era there’s a lot of talking about Jordan’s winning mentality, but there’s one thing that is often overlooked because to actually have it on the top of your head you had to lived that era and had watched an entire Chicago Bull’s season, besides putting all the numbers, Michael did it in a spectacular way, with Mike, you were in for a show, like jaw dropping things, like how did he do that. There are two players in this era that I’ve had similar reactions: Curry with the deep threes and Kyrie with the dribble, everything else is just the same or a bunch of step back travels
Jordan never had a "winning mentality," if he did he would have it now. MJ was a great player on a great team/organization and they produced great things but MJ could not have done it alone E.G., if he were playing today with the same skill set he displayed in the '80's, '90's; but instead of playing for a competent, championship oriented, team he played for the Charlotte Hornets and they would be managed and coached with the same level of competence as they have displayed in the past. In that case no one would talk about Jordan's winning mentality because the team wouldn't be winning, he would simply be getting buckets.
First, what makes you think he doesn’t have it now? Do you know the value of the Hornets right now? I’ll help you with that it’s 1.3B more than the price he paid, if you don’t call that a win I don’t know what you would call a win. 2nd, what do you mean by alone, no superstar has done it alone. 3rd, the skill set is the same as Kobe’s. 4th, you’re making an unrealistic scenario by putting a superstar on a bad team and think that the team will stay like that
Yes indeed. Giannis is a prime example. He's ugly to watch just plunging into the lane throwing elbows and traveling but people think he's so great.
@Sole-Survivor not necessarily true. When the bulls drafted Jordan in 1984, they hadn't made the playoffs in 10 years. Jordan led that sorry team to the playoffs his rookie season and every year after that. This was before Scottie Pippen and notable names. The bulls were trash before MJ and haven't won another title since he left 25 YEARS AGO. it was the same owner and GM until the GM passed a few years back. Jordan carried that team. When he retired in 1994, they didn't win a championship. He comes back and they 3 peat again. He retires and they never win another one. After that, he was passed his physical prime.
Lol you don't think Ant is box office? You're tripping dude
Even in his rookie season, MJ had a PER of 25.8. Anyone who shoots a lot can score a lot.
so not true
Wrong!
other way around. people who can score shoot a lot. there are a ton of clowns that get shots and none of them get close to the scorer mj was.

I love ANT but lets not get carried away with this MJ comparison stuff, in MJ's first 4 seasons, (excluding year 2 because he sat out due to foot injury), Jordan averaged 28ppg, 37ppg, 35ppg, and 32ppg while playing 82, 82, 81, and 82 games. And unlike ANT, Jordan did win rookie of the year.
What The Puke?

He's only 19 his rookie year. I'm not saying his gonna be MJ level, but he still has a lot of room to improve.
Nobody saying he is MJ. Just saying he will be the next MJ type player. Kobe first 4 seasons wasn't comparable to Mike either.
Ant shoots about 30 times a game, he has recently fixed his ridiculous shooting, but cmon MJ hes more like clyde with a 3 point shot. Which ill definetly take clyde witha good 3 jumper
The son MJ wish he had 😂
He's def got MJs hops and killer mentality. He's kinda like Butler but with more talent, skills and athleticism. Yet, think the artistry isn't there yet and i'm not sure that can be developed. You have it or you don't. MJ has monstrous hands that allow him to move the ball in mid-air in inhuman ways. I don't think Antman can grow hand size overnight. But still this guy's the real deal and has a legit shot at being the face of the league.
He's one of the few who could actually start climbing Mount Jordan. Kobe was the only other to actually try. First he would have to lead the league in scoring and I don't mean just from jackin threes. He would have to dominate on offense like Curry, which if he wants to be mentioned in the same sentence as MJ, he would have to do in this wide open lane, three point Steph Curry Era. Because we ALL know, MJ would average 40 with ease in these conditions. So that's the first test for A1.
@cavaleer If Luka can drop over 30 a night with the methodical game he plays, Antman should be able to use his athleticism and skill to his advantage and get to the basket often like you mention.
We’ll see if he’s up for this first test of scoring. From what he’s shown thus far in his career, Ant ain’t backing down from a challenge 😤
Ants not going to lead the league in scoring bc the twolves have depth
MJ's career is like a fairy tale, I think people forget how dominant Jordan was as an individual from the very start. In MJ's first 4 seasons, (excluding year 2 because he sat out due to foot injury), Jordan averaged 28ppg, 37ppg, 35ppg, and 32ppg while playing 82, 82, 81, and 82 games. And unlike ANT, Jordan did win rookie of the year. MJ was probably the best player in the world, straight out of the gate. He almost averaged 30ppg as a rookie.
@@jackastor5265 - yeah, but those awards mean nothing now. Melo should have won ROY over Lebron, Ant should have won over Lamelo
Ant should already have 2 all star appearances, the fact that Wiggins got one over him, and then Ant barely got in last year is criminal. Lamelo has 1 all star appearance, same as Ant
Fans are mostly casuals, they dont know basketball, and the awards today reflect it
@@nydibs Now matter how you slice it, Jordan came into the league basically averaging 30 a game from the start. He won the scoring title TEN times. Comparing anyone to Jordan is borderline absurd.
I've been thinking the same thing ever since I've seen Edwards, he has this MJish style of play.
I just hope it works out that way.
“Work until I’m tired or exhausted.”
Yeah, Ant Man might just get himself some rings with that mentality
Jordan being the illegitimate Father of not only Jimmy Butler but also Anthony Edwards makes him the GOAT of NBA DNA
Great production ! This video was fire 🔥☝🏽
Anthony Edwards is the son Michael Jordan always wanted but never got lol 😅
Dam coach Spoelstra taught him a lot doing last summer, he definitely next level player this year. Guaranteed he’s coming to heat.
He lacks MJs hands, height, vertical, speed, quickness, reflexes.
He scores a lot less than MJ at the same year in the NBA.
But yeah, he is like MJ.
If the actual young MJ was playing, he would average at least 50 (he averaged 37 in 1987), but let's not get into that, shall we???
He averaged 27.8 shot attempts per game on 48% and defense in 1987 wasn’t that great. Back then the height distribution of players was different. The average guard was usually smaller and less athletic than today and the average big man was taller and bigger overall but slower and there wasn’t a lot of positional switching.
I’m not saying MJ wouldn’t be great today but there’s different challenges strategically and with the different types of athletes . There’s been no bigger lie in sports debates that the defenders of the past were significantly better and their physicality was extremely impactful.
There was less spacing on the court because only 2-3 players on the court at most could space the floor with the 3. That’s the main reason defense looks worse today because the space to recover if you are beaten on the initial 1 on 1 or doubling off ball is much greater which leads to more large openings on the court but the athletes and switch ability of the current athletes makes up for that .
AE is a Jordanesque type baller for sure. Imagine if he can get a #2 caliber player like a Scottie Pippen on his team? i can see him winning his 1st chip in 2-3 years.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks he plays a lot like Michael Jordan
Could you imagine a lab where they had Jordans DNA & used it multiple multiple times until a freak athlete came out like him. Just to recreate his greatness. Not that far fetched. Most these great players that look like him don't have a father around to claim them.
Clones!!!
imagine him and jimmy butler on the same team 😂😂
i dont think that splitscreen does it justice, but when you see them side by side non split in the middle, their faces look so much alike.
I been saying this since Georgia, he is HIM

Ant's about to win a ring this year with the deepest team in the league right now.
Hey, great job on this bro. Loved the video. Got my sub. +
Edwards and Jordan do kinda look alike in the face lol. I can definitely see where the MJ comparisons are coming from in his game too, but it's definitely too early to be saying he's the next incarnation of the GOAT. He's a fierce player, though, and he knows when to step up and take over. He's one of my favorite players this season.
antman is like such an under the radar player
man you got a great radio voice!
I knew about him his rookie year picked him up as my 4th pick in my draft c
He got a lot of MJ in his game. Also Wade and Harden in his game as well + a 3 pt shot. 🤩
Don’t mention Dafruity Wadooty booty in the same breath as MJ ever again clown
Love your videos
What I dont like about Jordan comparisons is that they always compare the upcoming star to the already accomplished Legend, not when they were both rookies or just starting, but one as a rookie to the latter being a Legend already.
People think that to be the next MJ, you have to be Championship caliber player right off the bat, overlooking the fact that MJ did not even get to the finals until his 7th Season.
Let the newcomer grow up first, and if he is the second coming of Jordan, lets see how early can he win his first ring, and how many can he get after that, if Championship is your criteria that is.
As for personality, Ant Man is already MJ-like, no doubt. Charisma and aura, all he needs is that Airness that MJ had, and he can be the legit 2nd coming of Jordan.
For me, I can already see and understand why Ant Man is seen as the next MJ, Kobe or Wade, I can see it.
Kerr's problem with Edwards was him saying Durant was better than Jordan, and he said it with no pause.
Timberwolves on top. I called Ant baby MJ since rookie season
lol you wrong for that Lebron clip at 08:24
Man.. his jumpshot is so smooth
As soon as Jordan got into the league, he busted his tail EVERY game. Not the same for Edwards. Nobody ever had to tell MJ to go harder.
That was before Ant got into the league.
What people still fail to realize is how good MJ was one on one and from the midrange and hang time in the air at the basket or his jumpshots. No one has EVER duplicated that. Never will. Just because people like Edward's and LeBron can dunk its still so many other areas MJ was so good at. Both ends most of the game. And MJ get 40 and guard the player on the other end and shut him down as well. MJ is in a league of his own. Possibly Kobe can get close. THATS IT!!!
True....edwards and lebron only great at athletic plays same with jordan...but they dont have the consistency of jordans midrange, offball movement and defense...jordan da goat
great video +1 subscriber
Is that Fela Kuti music in the background?
Memeber when Jimmy Buckets was MJs kid too.. shit is funny.
MJ had to have Wilt Chamberlain thirst for skirt to have so much "sons".
Glad they aren't mentioning Butler as a Jordan clone anymore. Dude's a scrub as far as NBA players go. Everyone remembers him going off against the bucks in the playoffs but not the next season when he averaged 9ppg against them when he said he's always "stupidly locked in" in the post season. Fell off hard after that.
They said the same shit about Jimmy Butler and you see how that played out. Weird
I like seeing star players playing both sides of the court. Such a rare thing. MJ, Kobe, Giannis. It is clear he is not a student of the game when it comes to prior generations. No way you can watch MJ games and not see how different and dominant he was on both ends of the floor.
to put Ant man in Jordan class only time will tell, but A E is great and getting better
Jordan is in a class by himself so far
It's deep I can't watch the video without looking for the wemby name or comparison. Ant is also built different
Edwards is definitely the player Minnesota should be building around. The gobert trade was a setback.
So if he had a good center who demanded the ball more wouldnt he be setback by having reduced usage. If anything the gobert trade helped him, now he has someone who wont shoot because hes a bum but atleast he gets rebounds from ants high confident shooting misses
@@BrainKiller555 The trade didn't help the team get any closer to winning a ring.

MJ drafted n played for Bulls, he at Wolves. Animals
I think many are confused about the GOAT is not necessarily the best, most skilled player. MJ is the greatest, not the best
media been lying for years either jummy butler & anthony edwards are MJ real sons and not those other 2 or MJ learned reverse fusion and split himself in half when nobody is looking and becomes butler and edwards, final scenario is that mj is the hagoromo of nba, the sage of six titles and split his power between jimmy and edwards, thus neither will win a title until the heat face the wolves in a finals.. its their destiny to make this happen
It's the White Mamba man! Get it right!

While the similarities are striking: I’m not ready to give him this title, yet - there’s only one MJ.
Jordan's 3rd year was COMPLETE domination. Ant was at the bottom of the pile. If he doesn't get magnitudes better this year they have to dump him. He's a Westbrook waiting to happen. Tons of stats, tons of hard fougt plays, tons of non winning seasons. He's been a lot better so far this year but so has Kat and that makes a big difference.
He does slightly resemble Mike but also Mikes father as well
