Couldn't you also just tape the front and back, then put another piece of wood behind it and drill all the way through? I did that recently with a piece of MDF and it worked well. Honestly though, for button holes I just use a hole saw it would be cleaner than a spade.
Hello my friend ... I and my companions here in Brazil we are entering every day on RUclips to see if you posted some more video of your arcade project .... we look forward to the party placing the glass ... hugs.
ChrisWhite85 At the time I didn't have any of those, but I have a large set of them now and will use them instead of the spade bits for future projects.
I could have, but I am actually not 100% sure I have one that small. I think the hole saw set I have goes down close to that small, but I'll have to check. The one thing I don't like about hole saws is the little round chunk of wood you have to pry out of the cup when you're done. Not a big deal when you cut one or two holes, but imagine prying those little circular plywood pieces out for 27 holes! That's the amount my cabinet has if you include the admin buttons, pinball buttons, and joystick holes. Also, some hole saws have a bit of a wobble, making the final hole slightly larger and causes some problems if you're trying to center each hole precisely.
im on to my 3rd arcade machine build, and everytime,im learning something new
Diogo, I will try to upload a new vid in the next day or so. Thanks for watching!

Sorry, somehow missed this reply 2 years back. Yes the tape and wood "sandwich" sounds like a good idea. Like that better than the holesaw honestly.

28mm hole saw or step drill bit
I guess a forstner bit would have helped during the hole cutting. Would have kept it a tad cleaner. I don't like flat bits.

Excellent choice! After I used them I never looked back! Enjoy!
Why didn't you just use a hole saw bit instead of a paddle

TortureBot okay makes sense was really just wondering about to do my own build so trying to figure out what options it's best for myself
TortureBot I do want to say your videos have been very helpful and acquiring pieces and planning
Thanks! Now, I just need to get the rest of the footage processed and on RUclips! Good luck on your build!
Hello, can you say me how you drill the hole for the dust disc from the joystick please
That will be shown in Part 12 I think. I will upload Part 11 tomorrow.
