Single mother of 8 cries when she learns a Secret Santa is giving her family a life-changing gift

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season. Every day, from now until Christmas, we will post videos of the recipients being surprised with these life-changing gifts.
Lorraine is a single mother of eight children ranging in age from 4 to 23 years old. Her two oldest children are in college and studying online so they can help their mom. The third oldest is leaving for a mission in January. They currently don't have a reliable vehicle and Lorraine is afraid to leave Malad, where they live, in case their vehicle breaks down.
Lorraine is working at the local school doing her best to make ends meet and she is a wonderful mother. Lorraine is incredibly forgiving and is always sweet, kind and loving.
You would have no idea she is going through challenges in her life because of the permanent smile that is always on Lorraine's face. She never complains and she is an inspiration to everyone around her.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Lorraine a visit and deliver an early Christmas gift. Watch the video in the player above!

Wow was I shocked to see this. Lorraine is my Aunt, and she is seriously the most incredible woman I've ever met in my entire life. No one could have deserved this more than her. Thank you to everyone who made it possible! You have no idea the good you have done.❤️

Ignore the judgment, and Merry Christmas. Everyone is worthy of knowing they are loved and supported. The secret to living is giving, not being a Grinch, so tell this most incredible deserving woman that seeing her receive what she needs filled my heart with gratitude.
I am so glad to hear that she has family support, you can see by watching she is a very loving mum, you have to be to have your children want to study online so they can be at home to help mum. Lorraine should be so proud of the wonderful job she is doing raising her children. The relief these people feel when they get a visit from Nate is powerful. the stress taken away from them alone is priceless. Secret Santa is a true legend.

Well, I had a Mormon nurse when I had my first in Salt Lake City. She told me was 24 and already had 4 kids....so I was really comfortable with her ability with my child who had to be in intensive care for a day! :) so...if this lady started at 20, it would not be hard for her to have a 23 year old. But she does look young - and it's a lot of responsibility!

I know was a single dad too raised 4 whew 8 wow. I love watching these videos and I know all these people deserve what they get. But, in today's society I often wonder how many get a $40,000 car and then later just sell since all paid off for the money when needing far more than just a car. You never see updates on if they still have it or not and they would never know.

As a mom of 5, I can't imagine raising 8 on my own. I pray that this sweet mom is blessed not just monetarily, but with continued good health emotionally, mentally, and physically❤

I LOVE the Secret Santa stories. If there is ever a time I am feeling a bit down, I watch these and realize that there are some really wonderful people in this world! These stories ALWAYS leave a smile on my face!!

Oh My Gosh! 8 Children, 1 headed for college & 1 will be going on a mission. That right there tells you what a wonderful and hard working Mother this amazing woman is. Yes, these gifts will be life chageing. Heat, groceries/clothing cards and a Van they can all get into, and she was softly crying the moment you gave her the first gift. These stories touch many hearts deeply and I'm so glad someone is there with a camera to video it because then each gift blesses twice: the people who receive it and then all of us who get to see it.
Humans are social creatures and seeing such joy being spread encourages all of us to do more. We all know it's a beautiful thing to share. Thank you for these Secret Santa videos; they're my favorite part of November/December every year.

If she was widowed, Nate usually mentions it. Social security gives children assistance. If not widowed, where's the child support? There are so many people that received less that needed more. It's his money, but something doesn't add up here.

Now that is how you change someones life almost..... she went to work as a Mom of 8, like every other day, now a new Mini van, heat for winter and food and gifts all sorted for Xmas.... incredible... I am sure she will have a sleepless night processing it all...... wonderful.
I sure wish other multi millionaires would do this in other parts of the country. This is such a neat thing you are doing - because you are giving to people who normally never get any handouts - they are truly grateful! And I always cry when I see these!

Wow 8 kids. Shows you that she loves kids with 8 and working with kids too. Lorraine is well deserving of all of this. It's so wonderful to see someone's life change in a blink of an eye and of course I just cry immensely because I love a very happy ending. It shows her character also by a kid going to mission with the church. Just so good.

Part of creating a family is the ability to financially support your family. A helper at Head Start schools isn't paid that much, either. Why is she all alone? With a four year old the youngest? Hopefully, she knew what she was going when having these children.
