You should have power washed the roof or scrubbed the area with soap and water first to get rid of the feces where you glued the spikes down. It would allow for better long term adhesion.

That was pretty cool seeing the birds failing to land at the top once you got down from the roof!

Interesting that their style is to perch exactly on the ridge of the roof, instead of the tiles of the roof. In other words, you put the spikes on the ridge, and that was enough to stop them from hanging around. They didn't want to stand or sit or perch on the slanted parts of the roof.

Good video! glad you made it off safe. Hopefully by now your birds are gone. Heres a good little process, clean tiles and panels first to help remove pheromones and have clean workspace, spikes are great for perching/resting areas, exclusion is good for nesting sites like panels and rood overhangs. Stay safe!

Super video. I have a much smaller problem with pigeons at my home in the UK. This video really helps.
If confident, I'll use some dilute bleach solution to clean before adhering spikes. Not a fan of heights... But needs must as they cr@p from the roof on the cars below.

Good video! I would not like getting off and on that ladder at the top? Something like sikabond would be a great adhesive.

Man... falling off a single story is bad enough. I have to paint and pigeon proof my house by myself, it's almost 36' at the peak of the roof(tiles) with a lot of decorative valleys etc. Wish me luck and thanks for the tips!
