I bought a mini PC and it came today and from Amazon. So far I really like it a lot. I can use it and put the laptop aside or take the laptop and just do whatever with it. It hooked right up into my television set. I had no problem configuring it. And I'm happy with it.
So would this be a good pc for a person who really only uses it daily as to watch RUclips videos/ get on Facebook they’re a little bit older so they don’t need something amazingly fast but more something just good enough?
It doesn't specifically say anywhere in the literature. But it is faster than SATA as you indicate. I tested via Crystal Diskmark @ 7:54. It must just be a super slow NVME, or there is some other limiting factor in the works.
I need something portable for Church Presentation software such as ProClaim how do you feel this would hold up to a multimedia out/ Presentation device ? And can we "upgrade" the SSD .. say if I wanted to toss in a 4tb
That probably would work ok... Although you might want to look for something slightly more powerful than this one. It's good for super basic stuff. Depending on what multimedia you were trying to run you might have some lagging issues.
If you are looking for something that will do Fornite decently, you might want to check ruclips.net/video/uejJ65UNzQg/видео.htmlsi=SCzOuFaA6U3cxybC&t=692
I bought one with just Ubuntu Linux on it. Also tried Windows 11, biggest annoyance for me is fan runs constantly. It is also rather noisy fan given its probably a laptop fan. Not sure why it runs all the time, I have other Mini PC's that cycle fan and don't run at idle.
After this video I also was working on using this as a mini server for various things. The fan also seems to be constantly running. I didn't really notice it prior because it was super quiet, but for some reason when I installed more stuff it does spin faster and produces more noise. Agreed - I have other MiniPCs that also don't run all the time. Still trying to figure out if it just works this way or there is some way to resolve it.
I figured as much based on my testing. Although when nothing is running it's very quiet. The problem is when there is any bit of cpu strain, it gets too loud. Wonder if there is a way to replace the fan motor :) @@johnscott5105
LOL this company is funny. They say they have 3200MHz memory inside of this thing, which they do but on my unit it runs only at 2133. after seeing your video it seems that yours is also running at 2133. 7:33 I'm using this as a low power computer to run a server and smart home stuff at another property I have so, not a huge deal but still annoying. The BIOS has no XMP so thats why 3200 wont work.
Under normal load and usage it doesn't get super hot, and the fan stays pretty quiet. However if you try to stress it with games or something the fan does kick on and it gets a little loud.

Yes
The m.2 is NVME? ( another one reviewed, same model, got 800 MB/ sec on Crystal Disk Mark, clearly above what is possible from a SATA device)

Can this hook up to a 55" smart tv?
Sure
Will this run darkroom photobooth?
I have got one and i cant get it to work on my monitors
Hmm, using what interface?
Not even thru the HDMI inputs? I better not buy one. Thanks for the heads up.
Can this play lite games?
They would need to be very light games. This processor isn't suited for much when it comes to gaming performance.
So would this be good for big games like fortnite for example

Thanks, I inquired to Cybergeek but have not had a answer as yet. @@TisforTech
@@johnscott5105 Let me know if you find out anything.
They did get back and said fan by design runs constantly. It varies in speed but does not stop except in sleep. @@TisforTech

Can it run VR
I'm not sure - but if I had to guess, probably not.
