I haven't listened to it yet, but this is the reason I searched for it. Going to really try to destroy myself (since this is probably the kind of music my grandparents grew up with).
Why does this music have a sort of underlying eerie and uncomfortable tone? When I listen to this stuff, it gives me memories I never even knew I had...
I was born in 1977 and for some reason love listening to this music since I was a child. I grew up watching movies from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I especially loves the 30s and dreamed of having one of those cars when I was old enough to drive. Little did I understand that they are expensive not only for value but upkeep and gas mileage! I dreamed going on a date in my 3 piece suit and fedora hat and my date dressing in the same period attire! Just pop on the AM radio and dance drinking Martini's! ( Though alcohol was illegal at the time but work with me here!) ... But I'm still dreaming!
Jeenkz K born in 1993 and still loving the music and the style and aera.... know what you mean :D so glad to be able to experience the music at here...
OH! THESE ARE WONDERFUL BOB! People think that the Rock And Roll came out in the 1950s! But I have heard the term as early as the Mid 1920s!! " If I Should Loose You" By Isham Jones is FANTASTIC! Also "Ah! But I`ve Learned" just AWESOME!
Hey Bob, keep the comments coming please. Also I am going to start moving the show to Live Streams more starting in August. Let me know you got this message please.
listening to this type of music reminds me of the music in Fallout and my times going to disney and watching old disney, looney toons from the 30s and 40s it's just cool

I think there may be a few reasons. One may be that they really don't like the music. Two, it could be a competing channel, stupid in my opinion. It's more likely to be discovered if more people post or share it. Also, the real reason for the thumbs up and down buttons isn't what most people think. The buttons were created to help the content creators provide content that the viewers would like. RUclips likes to see interaction and a thumbs up or down is interaction. To them up or down is good as it means people have engaged with the video. If the video is getting a lot of thumbs down then it helps the content creator know that they need to fix the issue. However, I think a thumbs down should require a reason or it really doesn't help the creator since they don't know the issue. Thank you for watching the channel too!

Used to be broadcast engr and dj. Would love to do a Sunday or sat night show based on 78's swing and jazz from 30' and 40's FM only today. Maybe AM too in AZ and FL where many live who were yoing at the end of the era, and had Mom's records and heard this music in home. Not just nostalgia, great music in its own right.
Veronique hope all is well! Just a heads up but the channel is going through a transitional period now. If you use FaceB then may want to sub or follow there as well. Terrific stuff, all -- quite upbeat in general tone. The highlight of Crosby's "Pinch Me" is, for me, Irving Fazola's clarinet solo; such a beautiful sound he had. My favorites are the Hopkins and Hayes. I agree, "Laughing at Life" is a great tune. Have you heard Billie Holiday's version? McKinney's Cotton Pickers' is also good.
