I think we have been really into something with the crew we have now. I have a stack of videos coming for the next 2 weeks and that are insane. Matt is about to blow everyone’s minds
@@j4nk3n I think so too...I am from Southern California and my son rode for Powell/Peralta in the 90s I know George Powell and Stacy Peralta not to mention I was a Pro Skater and Stacy Peralta and I were on Gordon and Smith in the very late 70s just before he went to Powell and initiated the Bones Brigade...I am a fan of Andy and love his totally skating mastery over all facets of skating. 🤙🏿✌🏿
Two things. It's interesting to see andy riding a relatively small deck since his normal decks are huge(especially the wheelbase). And andy WITHOUT A HELMET?! I've only heard tales about those incidents
It's amazing how Andy and Dan are two of the top creative skaters out there rn, yet their styles are complementary and don't really overlap. That speaks volumes about how individual skateboarding is. Another amazing video. Thanks, Dan. Cheers
Love watching Andy and the Powell guys. I watched some of the Bones Brigade videos for the first time yesterday and it was really inspiring for me seeing the state of skating in 83 and 84, how far things have come and also how much there is to learn from back then. Thanks for the vid dude.
I was watching this and thinking: I am 40 years old and have never gotten a freestyle board. Powell Peralta and Andy are bringing it back and I cannot believe I actually NEED this, to improve my skateboarding skills.
@@thedude7726 i havé been 🛹 for two years. Thank you LOCKDOWN for this. In 2000, I got a dead Powell deck from someone. I started pushing. In 2003, I stopped cruising. But now that I am older, have money and access to knowledge… I am skating seriously for the first time. I could only do rocket Ollie, pushing regular and occasionally fakie heelflip. No other flips, no grinds, no slides, no dropping in, no switch. So freestyle? That is a game changer.
(That pogo didn’t count his left foot was on the floor) i actually tried taking street and freestyle tricks. like mixing a kickflip on the rail or a 360 & 540 shovet on rail. Pretty much taking existing tricks and either making variations or making something totally original and branching out of whats been done already.
Doh Doh makes a 100a bushing. Also take a look at Riptide and Venom. People think they’re for longboards but they make tons of bushings that match the same ones that come with every truck imaginable.
@@memorysometimers3067 Nice! Will definitely take a look at those. I tried Doh dohs recently and unfortunately they blew out on me within half a session.
The Casper to Casper is the trick Andy is doing that ends at Starts at 10:25 and ends 10:39 . This was a big trick in 2002 or so when I was in Middle School.
Andy has really been taking on a look lately, kinda looks like a fusion of Jay from the Jay and Silent Bob movies and Blake from Workaholics lmao. Anyways, Love the vids man.
@@AlexNiedt yes! Thunder 100a turns better than the Minilogo 100a. Partly because Thunder bottom bushing is conical (more agile, more turn) and Minilogo bottom bushing is barrel (more stable, more support)

"Notice how my back foot isn't on the f**king ground." - Had me roaring.
Andy’s say the darndest things
Andy is an amazing skater. He's always having fun.
big facts. he slays
The Powell crew is quickly becoming my favorite crew... Crazy how that company has been doing it the same way but different for so many years.
I think we have been really into something with the crew we have now. I have a stack of videos coming for the next 2 weeks and that are insane. Matt is about to blow everyone’s minds
@@DanCorrigan I can't wait to watch man! Hope your neck feels better soon btw!
Andy is like a skate historian and philosopher totally rad!
That's the truth , when people love their passion they usually want to absorb every bit of information they can on that subject . I relate for sure 👌
When he said walk the dog...Thats old school 70's freestyle trickery...I wonder if he's aware of the original Powell freestyler Tim Scroggs...🤔
@@JBG949 I'm sure Andy being on Powell has looked into the company's history so who knows man it's a possibility!

It’s a freestyle board.
Honesty I didn't even notice until your comment poped up lmao!
I only started feeling nervous about that when he started skating on the tall caster cart. Thought we were about to see Andy die there. 😬

Andy is the nicest most humble skater I’ve ever seen. I would love to meet him in person!
humble skater
This guy deserves everything he's got. Good on him for doing it his way.
I was watching this and thinking: I am 40 years old and have never gotten a freestyle board. Powell Peralta and Andy are bringing it back and I cannot believe I actually NEED this, to improve my skateboarding skills.
The low impact nature of freestyle is really nice and gentle on us old folks. Definitely go for it!

How good watching this whole crew around a flat bit of concrete having fun with freestyle tricks.
The bushings from decomposed skateboards are what I use on my freestyle setup, and they’re what I’d recommend! They’re like 101a’s
Riptide Bushings or Venom Bushings. They’ve got a huge menu!!! Sizes, shapes, hardnesses and colours!!!
so true, the older and longer theyve been outside the harder they are
I went with the ectoplasm!
Haha we all have that pile of petrified bushings. I actually skate mine till they fall apart these days 😬
Dan and Andy, my two favorite skaters. I'm still hoping for a Dandy series.
we definitely got a lot of stuff planned out once my neck heals :)

Bones Brigade is rolling in the grave... I spit water out my nose from laughing
hahaha
I love how Andy just casually shows all the crew and your viewers how to do a casper. I need to try it out right now.
And get well soon, Dan.
I grew skating that plaza as a youngster. So many ledges and stairs around the perimeter.

Great video, love just watching the Powell crew hanging out.
Dan + Andy = Magic
Dan + Sean = Magic
Dan + Dale = Beyond Magic😂
so good, this stuff was so fun to watch, i catched myself laughing way to hard
Great vid! Loved everyone trying freestyle tricks and goofing around
I met andy at venice and he let me fuck around on this board and gave me some freestyle history. great guy.
Andy is becoming one of my favorite skaters.
You guys are a dynamic duo. Thanks for the content
Dan can you dedicate a video of how And deals with sore feet from skating too much ?? what does he do for recovery and some tips etc?? THX BIG DAWG
The Search for Per Welinder. Nice board.
Haha
Just bought that exact same board yesterday.
That skate shop looks like heaven. Does Powell still make freestyle wheels?
TGM skateboards makes a solid 100a bushing, the only one I've found that's as good as the Mini Logo 100. Love those ML though

Decomposed has purple Khiro bushings for sale. I don't know if they are still being made or just old stock.
Wow. Memory lane from mid 80s.. Had that board but red... Never quite knew what to do with it till Utube 30 + years later... !!
why is andy so cool and awesome
I like to switch up board sizes sometimes, usually ride fat shapes but sometimes changing it up is when you learn different tricks
- You should do that down the stairs...
- Ooohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! 😂
@1:45 Mullin did not leave an empty space on the top of his boards. they were fully gripped.
Andy is talking like an old drunk Japanese skateboard master, drinking sake straight from the bottle!
_Heal up quick mate. I luv watchin u skate. I see parallels between ur style and The Gonz._ 🏴👍🏻
Man, seeing andy always got me in the mood for a session! but I have a foot sprain, and need like 2 more weeks to rest...
Hope you’re better soon man 🛹🏌️♂️
Best mini logo commercial I’ve ever seen!
Andy talking about Ollie tricks while drinking water from that glass bottle… at first I thought it was Vodka and laughed at his shit talking. Lol
I just realized why Trackers were so popular with freestyle skaters in the 80's...
Andy is actually fucking insane dude he's doing some difficult shit like its nothing

Pretty jealous of Andy’s new skate shelf… pretty sick
What are the wheels I noticed the bearings are sunk in instead of center.
Thats just awesome.
Are those shoes the new etnies ? Are they available yet?
Where can I buy this board.
Tell andy if he wants trucks that don’t turn he can ride krux
They have khiro ...there on decomposed and there amazing my favorite..they are truly the hardest bushings I've ever had

@Dan Corrigan, wait.. you were/are in SB right now?
Are those decks to the viewers right, Mike santarossa decks???
Landy Landerson in candy store!!! 🥰
Are you available to buy that deck somewhere?
That's like skating a rock! The amount of tricks you can land bolts on tight trucks is awesome, but I just hate skating in a straight line
FYI 100a bushings are not hard to find. The Doh doh 100a's been on ebay for years. But of course he's making a plug for mini-logo ;)
That shape is sick Andy, think I need this board for my next freestyle setup :D keep ripping gang
