A lot of people complain the V3 only got 5mw 50mw and 120mw cannot be use on racing which require 25mw. So, we made the V4 comes with 5mw 25mw and smart max up to 400mw
Sry about dad raining on your parade, I ordered one too, really just to get the board… Think I’m going to swap it into fractal75 But will see how much I like it out of box. Might get a few one for inside, one for babytooth.
Awesome vid!!! IMO you should've faced the Whoop to get more signal as you already know. It would've been awesome to see it go past that tree line!!! 🔥🔥🔥
True, I wasn’t happy with how far I went either. The video and rx signal could have gone much further I just didn’t want to loose my whoop. I think I’m going to make a separate video doing a full range test until I fall out of the sky to see how far it actually goes. I’ll find a place where I won’t loose my whoop haha Thanks for the comment👊🏼
I'm glad to see NBD making progress. It looks like the new flow motors finally got the current draw of the old crappy ones under control. The OSD drop out of the V3 doesn't exist here which is good. I'll give them mad props for using a serial-based ELRS RX and really upping the VTX power! There's two things that still make this a no-go for me. The incredibly stupid 1.0mm JST motor plugs and that terrible folded pin PH2.0 connector. They even *know* they're hosing you with the motor plugs because they include 1.25mm replacement pigtails in the package if you buy the motors by themselves. If they ever decide to fix those two things, I'll be back on the NBD train. How's the camera now? The old one, like two generations ago, was so dark and handled dark/light transitions worse than a vampire. From the footage you showed it looked like it's improved some.
Hey, thanks for watching! I totally agree with you on the pigtail. The PH 2.0 is not the way to go. I don’t mind switching them out though. On the motors, I need to compare the older one back to back with the new ones to see how they compare but I’m definitely liking the new flow motors! The camera does appear to be good quality as far as light transitioning. I never had problems with the older version though.
Hey Adam, this Kelvin from newbeedrone, I am actually the guy behind this product. I really get your point of using JsT1.25 for the motor plugs, but we just cannot find a JST1.25 SMT style without pin though hole also without big ground pad like the JST1.0 plug. Our ESC and fc are full spec hardware design, we don’t want to cut out any hardware design to save some space because I think it is not a good idea to simplify the hardware design like take out some capacitor to save space.Over all, we tested the JST1.0 and found out even with peak power, it can totally handle the performance, and it is the only option we can use to fit into our design. That’s why we keep using the JST1.0 plug.
Hi a month ago I made comments on my bad experience with a new Mobula7 with a ICM 42688P giro. Well after some effort I find that this new giro is as good as the old MPU6000 ever was. Sometimes you power up and the quad behaves weird then unplug/replug the battery and all is well again. Firmare upgrade (get the right one check the board ) does not cure neither does adding a cap across the power line. Soften rates for this board and reboot when it mucks about. Yea now it's great. Thought I'd pass it on .
@@wynnfpv Hi thanks it's now very good but it has a bug where you sometimes have to reboot or it's just flying to one side. Honestly I now love it now I know how to deal with it.
Hi, nice whoop I'm jealous I just got a new HM Mobula 7 1s (D8) and I'm disappointed. When I get paid I shall try one of these on elrs .Good video thanks.
Thanks! I am using the Radiomaster Zorro for my elrs stuff. Great radio but the battery usage time is terrible on the thing lol… other than that I would recommend it.
Hey it’s pretty easy just boot up the whoop three times like any other elrs receiver and that will put the whoop in bind mode. Then put the Zorro in bind mode and your all set. Let me know if you have any questions.
Nice video and good demonstration on the cap of this little drone V4. I'm a newb and this looks interesting. Didn't catch all u were saying about substituting something to get more range later on to take advantage of the 400 mw. Also I didn't catch all u were saying about getting the extra frame and something about a warranty. Can I get the extra frame when I order the quad? I have a Protek R25 HD coming in and I"m ordering an extra frame for that one.
Hey thanks for watching! This goes over the drone frame warranty it’s something newbeedrone does on their whoop frame which is awesome newbeedrone.com/products/cockroach-frame-warranty-replacement
When I was talking about using the parts later for an outside drone I was talking about something like this: ruclips.net/video/CVo8qnbegQo/видео.html you can take the parts on this whoop and make it into something to fly outside. If you have any more questions let me know! I remember being new to the hobby and it’s a bit to learn haha!
hello . i pay $100.00 per hour for anyone wiling to help me step into ELRS world . i have crossfire on my 5 inch but would love to have elrs quads and radio for sub 3 inch categorie . good review
i can do basic betaflight stuff but i know that i can not do the elrs configurator and the bind phrase , not to mention 2.5 vs 3.0 compatibility . i want to purchase a nice remote with built in elrs and get a whoop and a 2.5 inch quad and have both of them set up for a total BNF experience . i only use one switch for arming . thank you
The V4 VTX actually gave 3 power option, 5mw 25mw for racing, smart Max for up to 400mw base on board temperature, great video btw! 🎉
Thanks Kelvin. I meant to give this information but failed to when recording…

Question? What radio would you recommend for this drone?
The radiomaster Zorro is great. I made a review going over it here: ruclips.net/video/vHFAy6DEwv0/видео.html
