i've been around awhile. that said, i saw and listened to and met reverend gary davis in a small coffee house in lake george, n.y. in the early '60's. he's smilin' right now muireann 🙂
So glad, I'm in a small group of people that actually love the old blues. It's hard to find people in my generation that appreciate this Historic Art Still relevant to this day:]
Have no fear. So long as there is, joy and pain, exuberance and melancholy, fear and courage, love and hate, hope and despair...them blues...them deep down real blues...them real FOLK blues will never fade from this earth. Just look at how far it's spread across time and space. ☝🏽💙....🎶
The superb technique and guitar playing goes without saying when watching this young talented woman play it her vocals are equally wonderful. Her vocals are greatly improving. Looking forward to follow her career!
I love this, fantastic voice and incredible consistent guitar work. Its a totally fresh take , a new perspective on an old song, and will encourage younger people to listen to these lovely songs, whereas they wouldnt otherwise. This music is strong enough to evolve and be suited to different voices and people. Her voice in this song is just mesmerising and takes it to a different place again. Look forward to seeing you in Cork and Dublin soon
Ah, another classic, Muireann! I think we must share most of the same set list. 😂🤣 I must admit that your voice is a lot sweeter than anything I could do though. Love your take on the melody too - I sing it much straighter, but you give it colour that I’ve not heard anyone else do. Congrats on the tour, but next time come to Manchester - I bet the Blues Cafe would snap you up!😊
So refreshing to see such raw talent in this age of electronics and auto tuners. Nice to hear the old country blues brought back also. You're knocking it out of the park young lady.
Wondrous renditions of the timeless beauty that is country blues. Such a joyous young resonance ringing out, in contrast to the pervasive blandness of auto tune and AI. Thank you Muireann..
Us fans of the acoustic blues owe Stefan Grossman a huge debt. Have you ever met him, Muireann? I'm sure it would be a joyful meeting for you and for him. He's got quite a catalog of blues records and I hope that you will too as time goes on. "I Kept These Old Blues" is a real treat and I'm glad we're also getting to see these videos of you playing live.
Seen you twice now Murieann! We got home late from a day out in London on New Year’s Eve, were exhausted, all alone (having just moved back to the UK from Canada), feeling sorry for ourselves… and out of nowhere you popped up in Jools Holland. We booked tickets to this MOTH Club gig about 2 minutes later. You were sensational here even though the nerves were obviously there. Then we booked tickets for Grand Junction as soon as those came out - and again. You were even better. The confidence just keeps growing! We look forward to seeing you again in London soon or up in Scotland or even Ireland later this year. Keep it up!
Melody is from "cocaine blues", one of my favorites from the Reverend. Excellent picking! It's heartwarming to know that at least few people worldwide still care and appreciate the old fashion blues and ragtime guitar. Keep going with the good work, greatings from Sicily.
Muireann, goosebumps when you play guitar and more when you sing!! Keep doing what you do so well! Looking forward to owing every one of your albums! From a Cape Town fan.
I'm a huge fan Muireann and I really look forward to seeing you live one day! Keep doing what you do, and I'll keep listening :) I think Frankie and Shake Sugaree are my personal fav's
Bravo! I just listened to Roy Bookbinder's version. I like him but I enjoy you even more. Cool thing... He is performing at a local venue here in Florida and guess who is the opening act. Yep me! I am so honored. (I know, I am tooting my own horn) I have to say though Muireann, It has been along time since I have been this excited about a new country blues finger picking artist. You rock. I hope you make to Florida someday
I never cease to be entranced and amazed at this remarkably talented young lady. Wishing her only the best. Thank you for sharing.

You have a long amazing career ahead of you. Please come to the US sometime. Safe travels. ❤👏
Hits the ear pallet in a powerful way. So unique and organic. Big times ahead! 🙂
Not really mainstream music though and with very limited commercial appeal.
Muireann is one of three or four young singers who could potentially be a true World Famous Star. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Wonderful free phrasing.
The voice of an angel and mesmerizing guitar prowess
Wonderful and the audience listening instead of chatting. :)
