GREAT REVIEW/DEMO!!! The only section I heard starting at approximately 2:45 I believe may not be accurate. "... 2 inputs, 2 outputs, and the outputs are both stereo outputs." You do have a LEFT and RIGHT TS outputs for stereo but, they are not TRS outputs so each output is mono. Maybe I am misunderstanding what is being said here still, wanted to point this out just in case.

Does the Es 8 work well with the 4 cable method? I.e. To put delays reverbs or any time based effects through the return and send effects loop of let's say a Marshall DSL 2000. What would be your suggestion? Also what amp are you using in this video..? Thank you for your help.

The ES-5 which is basically the same except smaller (and no stereo) has fewer switches, how does that affect assigning switches to different functions?

Hi Tom, I am a new owner. Thanks so much for the demo. What kind of unit do you recommend to power your effects pedals? Thanks.

I am using a Caline CP 206, there is a review on RUclips and I run the ES-8, 3x Boss 500 series pedals and smaller Boss pedals and no issues. It is noiseless / isolated too.

Great demo man. Something weird though....maybe your board is a beta version? As the patch light for button 7 does not illuminate when accessing an additional patch from a MEM preset. I looked at other demos and the patch lights up. To me, that would almost be a deal breaker if I did not have an "on" light for any additional patch I would bring up.

As I understand, you can program that pr patch or knob yourself. Light On or Off...

+robert collopy - Hi Rob, this is Tim here the owner of Sound Affects. The Knaggs is my own personal guitar. Its a Tier 2 Severn, double purling. I specced it with flamed maple neck and board. It has a SD 59 tele at the neck and a stacked SD Strat humbucker at the bridge. Its an amazing guitar.. If you want to talk about ordering one I am happy to go through it with you. Cheers Tim

Tom this question may have been questioned already if so sorry for the repeat. I looking at the Boss ES-8 Effect Switching System and from what I've read and demo's I've watched, it's seems to be pretty amazing?? One of the abilities I like the most about the system is the ability to move effects in different places if needed. However, this would be my first switching system I would be purchasing and I would think there are other companies the make system that have the same ability. Do you have any recommendations on purchasing a switching system? Thanks, David

What if I have 2 midi pedals? Lets say a H9 and a Strymon Timeline. Can I connect them both to the es8 for midi switching, or only 1 pedal?

There 16 midi channels, so it is virtually limitless from a midi point of view.

Wesley J Midi units are daisy chained together, going from one to the next and so on.
