Firstly, I want Paolo's shirt. Secondly, I'm real stoked to see Matt going back to harsher vocals, I'm glad to see his healing process went well. And thirdly.... Dem blast beats caught me off guard. Looking forward to the album!
I think Trivium has earned every praise and headline show that will come their way. The Sin and The sentence blends so many styles together. Never before a band has done that in this variety and fashion. Other good bands would kill to have a album as that for a Best Of.... Trivium can just take the album, have their set, play it live and people will go crazy.
good point, and this album would beat almost any other Best of... album I could imagine even for my favorite bands. Trivium have reached a legendary status with this release
Chris B. I love trivium but I'd have to say you need to listen to more bands if you believe no other bands have blended various styles of music together in this fashion
i agree completely, there is really no subgenre to try and pigeon hole Trivium, there are so many elements to their music. This album goes from something super radio friendly (Heart from your Hate) to something brutal (Wretchedness) and so many things inbetween. The gang vocals was such a pleasant surprise that theyve really havent done. They keep evolving into their own sound. I dig this album more than the last two.
The title track, Beyong Oblivion, Wretchedness Inside, Other Worlds, Sever the Hand, Into the Fire...so many heavy hitters on this album it's crazy. My favorite album since Shogun and Ascendancy
because Trivium has no idea what is even good even after writing and playing it. They literally have no fucking clue, and shrug when their fans say they sucked ass from half of In Waves until after SITS. It's like they finally have someone giving them the direction they need to know how to make good music again.
Album is fucking AMAZING. I love their sound, and I can't wait to see what they can come up with next. I really hope, no I pray that Alex finds a permanent home with these guys!!!
I "found" Trivium with "In Waves". It was very important to me, at the time. I loved a few older songs too. I was very disappointed with almost everything after "In Waves"... Now, I must say, maybe this newest is the BEST of anything Trivium has made. "I.Fucking.Love.It!"
Miika Suominen If you like this new album. You'll like Shogun. It's like The sin and the sentence but a bit premature. I feel Their new album did everything right that was wrong in Shogun. Except endless night. What a shitty song.
Oh, I have listened all Trivium material and Shogun has awesome songs. No doubt about it. Earlier isn't to my taste and even though I totally can listen the stuff between In Waves and the newest one, they just don't appear on my playlist :) This newest is just one of the most beautiful "Return To Form" records, I have listened for a while. And that's fantastic!
Miika Suominen God damn you're right. But I hate VF and SITS. I only listened to a few In Waves songs. My favorite is Shogun. When I explored their music I listened to Shogun all the way through and went and bought it right away at the closest FYE. The sin and the sentence was a preorder for me. I love that album.
I think that Shogun and Ascendancy are of the best of Trivium style, now The Sin And The Sentence is part of the big three. In Shogun everything is beatiful, it's a travel to the mistyc world of mythology, the transmission is impressive, and in Ascendancy the pureness in all the tracks with such violence (excepte for Master of Puppets cover wich I personally hate), there are songs like Rain, Suffocating Sight (wich I want a new version) and Declaration, that track is awesome. I think that they kind of returned to that.
According to your name you're finnish, and they have the most harsh, badass death metal bands (Wolfheart, former Before the Dawn). And you say, Trivium's style before Shogun is not your taste? :D (don't take it very to the heart, just kidding ;) )
Thank you Paolo. Who gives a shit about the genre and type of music. "It's just Trivium" they love all types of music, so they incorporate it. The best bands do it. TRIVIUM will b here for a while. I loved the first CD and I love the most current and will love the last... why? Cuz it's TRIVIUM baby!
The funny thing about Trivium is they seem to want to please a mass audience, but they have no clue what's actually good, or what their fans really want. So of course they had no idea Sever the Hand was going to be a fan favorite. I'm just happy they are back on the right track.
For some reason I get the vibe that Matt and Palo have been arguing a lot lol. The past few interviews I have seen something just seems off between them. Regardless, this album is in my top 3 albums of all time
Why do people hate crusade so much? Its got amazing songs like entrance of the conflag, anthem, sadness will sear... Becoming the dragon was the first trivium song i ever listened to and it got me hooked.
he said he had no clue people would love Sever the Hand, and that tells pretty much everything about Triviums music career. THey have no idea what's good or what the fans even want. It's all shoot-from-the-hip happy accidents.
Firstly, I want Paolo's shirt.
Secondly, I'm real stoked to see Matt going back to harsher vocals, I'm glad to see his healing process went well.

The album came out on Friday
Matt has great posture. thanks
This album really kills. True Trivium.
Beyond Oblivion is my favorite off the album. Hands down.😭🤘💕
Emm Lee mine too!!
This album is the best since Shogun and Ascendancy is my absolute fave. Thanks so much Trivium.

lycanthrophy616 can you point me to some? Thanks in advance

Matt you are the best Vocalist a voice so perfect
Dear Agony 4 life
spitfire5656 is my band favorite, Breaking Benjamin
me too brother
Howard Jones.
The title track, Beyong Oblivion, Wretchedness Inside, Other Worlds, Sever the Hand, Into the Fire...so many heavy hitters on this album it's crazy. My favorite album since Shogun and Ascendancy
How did they not know Sever the Hand was going to be a hit? It's easily one of the best songs on the album
because Trivium has no idea what is even good even after writing and playing it. They literally have no fucking clue, and shrug when their fans say they sucked ass from half of In Waves until after SITS. It's like they finally have someone giving them the direction they need to know how to make good music again.
Hit and best are different things.
What hooked me, was going into the chorus. The screams with the cleans, and that chugging riff. Amazing.
It's one of my favorite albums of any band. I still love it
Album is fucking AMAZING. I love their sound, and I can't wait to see what they can come up with next. I really hope, no I pray that Alex finds a permanent home with these guys!!!
Sever the hand takes my back to ember to inferno and I LOVE IT
The Wretchedness Inside. That is all.
Seb Schofield
They said to run but I'm obsessed with the madness!!
The Wretchedness Inside Live. okay now we are done.
I like how trivium realises when they mess up (despite the fact that I️ think every trivium album is amazing) and learn from it
The wretchnedness inside will be my go to track in this album. Beast album!

Best album since 2008s critically acclaimed Shogun ❤️
The Revanchist is my 2nd fav on this new rec.
Trivium's best album, IMO. Alex Bent's drumming elevates the music so much. They have definitely come into their own over their last 3 albums.
Now matt..plss keep ur hair long again..really miss ur twin windmill banging with corey..will be absolutely fucking great with ur new released album..
As a longtime Trivium fan, I'm happy that I fall into the apparent majority of Trivium fans who gravitate towards "Betrayer" and "Sever The Hand".
Wow, this dude can talk for ages without actually saying anything specific or/and relevant. He should've been a politician.
PeRuN the Riffmeister Nah, I’m so glad he’s the frontman of one of the most amazing bands I’ve ever heard.
@@Mavvyd96 Same. If dude above would pull his head from Slipknot's ass, he would understand Matt better.
Best fucking album for 2017.
Matt looks like an a scoia'tael elf from witcher 3

Sever the Hand is badass but in all the whole album is 10/10.
Sever the hand
I think this is their best album

But what does Corey Taylor thinking about..
Bryan Patrick Music
Corey Taylor is probably head banging to Trivium's new album right now.
wrong channel buddy that's loudwire
Bryan Patrick Music who cares?
Snuggly Jeff The man can sing..
For some reason I get the vibe that Matt and Palo have been arguing a lot lol. The past few interviews I have seen something just seems off between them. Regardless, this album is in my top 3 albums of all time

Best album of infinity
Wow look at Matt's ears huge
eight studio album - and you've just noticed that? You should try yourself in criminal investigations)
No they’re small
Jacob Udin are they now wow
Пуська Мартыська what do the albums have to do with it rather the live performances his left ear look at it look at it
Not really, more like little more distaced from head then they should be.
next drinking game: drink whenever pablo says "like" xD this album is awesome!
Then you would never take one drink. His name is Paolo.
Second best album
Sever the 🤚
5 people came here just maaad at the world. Going "Ugh! HOW DARE THEY... Uhh... Well... HOW DARE THEY!"
sever the hand is BAd Ass AF
It's funny that people's favorite songs aren't the singles. Sever the hand, beyond oblivion, etc...
Eric Wilhelm that is a good thing. It proves that the album is so good that not only the singles stand out.
their left ears both are not like the other :D
Even with all these hours of practice I put into learning music.....i cannot even play guitar or sing anywhere near as good as Matt.... 😢 not even 10%
Listen to them pretending like they didn’t know Sever The Hand was the fucking banger for the whole album.
Paolo is one of the bassist out there. and he have no idea
sever the hand is great and also betrayer!
Is it just me or did paolo say absolutey nothing??
he said he had no clue people would love Sever the Hand, and that tells pretty much everything about Triviums music career. THey have no idea what's good or what the fans even want. It's all shoot-from-the-hip happy accidents.
666th like. \m/
Matt and Paolo should keep their hair long.
karl jonson
I don't think Paolo is bald by choice.
Also Matt needs to bring back the hair
Dao Yang Well... That was a joke. It's not funny if I explain it.
karl jonson
Not really an easy joke for some to understand when you include Matt lol.
But I know what you mean
Dao Yang Well I tried. Lol
Who gives a damn about their hair, listen to how good the music is instead

Like for potatoes
Nobody gravitates towards Betrayer. Its probablt the worst song on the album.
Funny, i think it is one of the better ones
I think heart from your hate is the worst. It’s way too repetitive with the same riff throughout the entire song and no real solo or harsh vocals
