Who cares if it's a PSA 2 Mantle. I enjoy collecting the more expensive stuff in lower grades. Just to say you own 1 puts you in a pretty elite club. I'm currently looking for the 1952 Bowman Mantle, and a PSA 2 would suit me just fine. Great pickup.

Great pick up with the Mantle. I loved the Ike painting of Trout as a matter of fact I loved all of his paintings what a talent. Definitely going to visit his site. Loved the wide scope of the National. Not just cards.

I have a 68 mickey mantle card. The corners aren't too bad but got a crease right in the middle from left to the right. What do you think it would grade? Or too hard without looking at it? @JabsFamily

Nice pickup! Was just at Cooperstown, NY last week and saw a 1958 Topps Mantle All Star PSA 4. Grabbed that as soon as I saw it. Paid a very reasonable $75.
Yeah thats a nice mantle. $1100 is way over what Im usually comfortable spending on a card. I have a 1958 PSA 3 mantle, and the 1958 was a must buy: i have the psa 6 1958 maris rookie, so i had to get the mantle. My 1960 mantle is a psa 4 (oc). And I have a psa 5 and psa 6 1966 mantle.
I will see you in AC for the next Nationals .... I live in Cape May 36 miles south of Atlantic City NJ....can’t wait! Great pick ups for your PC btw.... cannot go wrong with the mantle!
Did you buy a VIP pass? Did you get anything autographed by the players there? Did you get a hotel room close by there? Were the rooms expensive? Were there places close by to eat there?

If you freeze at 5:19, I own the Mantle card in red (2nd from right side on the bottom). It's the oldest card in my PC and probably the best! Mantle cards seem to only gain in value.

The '53 design is probably my favorite of the 1950's. I've been getting some of the Topps living series because I like it so much.

If you can get an apartment complex condemned in East Newark,NJ,you can dig up around 7,500 cards from 1956-65 that I threw away in the field in 65'.
