Mine is removed as well. Its the most annoying feature to have. You're doing the Lords work showing people how to remove it. 👍

I'm interested in how you removed the bolt and nut. I can only get the smallest of tools in the space, and was unable to break the nut loose. Any more leverage on the small wrench and it would become a wren. I would really like to get rid of the RIO.. Pondering a sawzall.

It has been a while but I don’t think it was that difficult. Basically when the nut broke loose I just spun it off

I just tried to and couldn't get mine broke loose either . That dam spring is in the way to.

Why not simply hold the pto switch up before and while backing up? It overrides the kill switch so the pto stays engaged. Is it why JD designed it that way, to simply hold it up

      Because it was annoying

As an owner of a gt235 that has this feature that will soon get bypassed, it is not on annoying, but sometimes I forget to do that or don't have the pto switch pulled up all the way and as a result, the blades shut off. These anti mow in reverse features are just a stupid feature that has been installed on lawn tractors these days.

@@lawnchaser the government mandated them. Kinda like how they fixed those gas cans for us lol

Had a GT235 and a GT245 where you could do that - just pull the PTO switch 'up' right before you step on the reverse pedal. My GX255 does it that way, too. Sure, I forget sometimes. Haven't tried it on my GX335.

@@checkyoursix5623 my gx355 and the 345 are the same way but I personally found it ridiculous. I don’t plan to ever sell my tractor but if I do I can put it back on for the next guy
