Question of the Day: Please practice making your own sentences using inversion. 🤩 Challenge yourself to see if you can make one sentence for all seven ways of using inversion in English. 😁
Mind blowing..!!! you have sandwiched a lot of informations that we are ardly able to chew at one go.however it is boon in disguise to have it at a single glance. Had it been in two or more videos, it wouldn't have reflected such positive response. Thanks a lot Ma'am. I bet you are the most lovely, cherished teacher in You tube as per me. Catch you later.
Had I viewed this video earlier, I wouldn’t have given wrong answers to questions related order of inversion. You’ have immeasurable treasure of knowledge and grip over the subject. Beyond doubt. 👌👌

Hey Dr. B 😁. I look forward to watching your short on this topic. There's so much to negative inversion that I'd really interested to see how you were able to get it into a minute or less 😅.
Any subscriber of your channel like this video, so do I. I haven´t understood the way Master Yoda speaks in Star Wars up to now, He always speaks with inversion sentences. A lot of thanks for this lesson, I didn´t even know this was grammatically correct
Hi Javier 😁. Thank you for your nice comment using inversion 👍🏻. Inversion is a difficult point to understand, but as you can see from this advanced grammar lesson, it is possible in certain situations to switch the order of the words in your sentence to sound dramatic, emphatic, or formal ☺️. The types of inversion I taught in this lesson are all natural and common in English. However the way Yoda speaks is still odd, even to native speakers who would use the kinds of inversion from this video 😅.
Hi miss excellent lesson with so much information. Here are examples sentences. worst of all was the last part of the movie. I had a wonderful trip. particularly memorable was the afternoon at the river Bank. The city's architecture was nice, but just as interesting were the locals. Hardly ever do they talk to their neighbours. At the end of the hall stood a dark ghostly figure. The jacket, I got on sell at the mall. under no circumstances should we accept these terms. not until he turned the corner did she close the door. little did they know what is lying ahead of them. First came snow then the freezing rain. why she was behaving like this, I will never know. down the path, in the shade of trees sat an empty bench. over the dinner table hung a huge chandelier. why you put so much effort in making this lesson,. I can understand. Thanks
Hi A. K TIWARI 🤗. Thanks for your kind words about this inversion lesson ☺️. I hope you'll be able to use all seven ways of inversion naturally in your English conversations. 🎉
Mam, could you please make a video on comparing "due to" and "cause" with sentences. I really say mam that whatever you give an example it completely understandable and in a snap it get understand. Please mam make a video on that.. ......please mam i am waiting
Hi JeN!Thanks to the lesson,I was able to know what the inversion was to some extent through a lot of sample sentences. However,I'd like to know much about the effectiveness of the usage of ‘ inversion ’ in our daily conversation. And I also want to get to know about the difference between inversion and anastrophe precisely. Have a good one! Ikuo
Hi Ikuo ☀️. Thanks for watching and for your nice comment. I am happy to hear that you are able to understand what inversion is through this advanced grammar lesson. In daily conversation we use inversion, but we use it sparely to sound formal, dramatic, poetic, or emphatic. I would be strange to use inversion too much when having a regular conversation with someone. If you try to emphasize too many things, then you'd end up emphasizing nothing. I personally use inversion a lot to ask questions, to emphasize things with negative adverbs, and to quickly agree with someone. 😁 As for the difference between inversion and anastrophe, anastrophe is a type of inversion which is used specifically to draw the reader's (or listener's) attention to an exact word by changing the order of the words. Many sources say that anastrophe is the same as inversion, but my feeling is that true inversion follows actual rules like in this lesson, while anastrophe is more like writers being creative with words to create poetic or dramatic effect. Someone in the comments mentioned Yoda. I think that Yoda's speech is a good example of anastrophe as opposed to the types of inversion in this lesson that native English speakers actually use frequently. I hope that makes sense 🤗 Have a great week 💐.
