Hard trance of the 90's
www.facebook.c...
In 1992 I left Mining to become a full time Dj apart from my producing I also ran one of Europe's top nightclubs The BYO (Bring your own drink) It didn't have a drinks license so along with rave culture there was other ways to have a good night and get wrecked.. In this video which is actually 4 hour long cut down, you will see how some of the people enjoyed the best music in rave culture. Some people will never see these days and some will have lived them so I dedicate this to you and the friends gained and lost through good and bad times. enjoy...
The club owner is no longer with us 2023 and tributes are here from Carl Cox Timo Maas Paul Elstack Rufneck GTO & the Bonzai team
• Tributes from Dj's Car...
If you was there say your shout outs as you would have wanted...
If you have lost friends maybe you can add a tribute.
If you want to put a bad comment have some respect and keep it for your self..
This video is surely about the good times... Its about Peace & Love
Im still Djing and celebrating over 25 years in the scene you can find me on facebook active

You know you've been to a great party when half a million people are still watching it 20 years later. 8)
Slayed me with that one!
*30
See you next decade
1.3M...30 yrs..
Lol
😅 damn right but its been more than 30 years
Hey there, I am the guy with black top with the wandering eyes on video😁 it's nice to see this video and remember the good times I had. Happy days!!
+Carlos Gomes Siqueira the 1 near the start with the grin on his face? You looked like you were loving it! No one gave a shit back then!
+Carlos Gomes Siqueira Heeeeeey no waay!!!! we are a big fan of you w my girlfriend! How is it going man?
+Carlos Gomes Siqueira literally the best raver in the universe, you look so happy
future generations can only aspire to reach such levels
+Carlos Gomes Siqueira you look like donny osmaond lol
Dude you are awesome. You look like you know a secret that no one else knows.
The main bloke in the video, I'd pay all my wages in a lifetime just to be in his shoes for just this video length! He's having the time of his life and just doesn't give a flying fuck!
Looks like the first guy knows a secret.
Hhahahahaha
Brilliant lad 😂
Oh that’s great! Now I find him even more entertaining.
He's like a super hardcore window cleaner, but without windows.
😂
Omg thats me in the black sparkly hat.........22 years later!!!!! Those were the best days, fantastic music and amazing people..old school lives xx
Rebecca King Still in the scene? The scene is alive and well, but you got to find the right people.
You were having it, peace and love to all ravers and people of the earth, bless!
You're now an immortal of the rave scene, Legend
How cute were you mrs smiley :)
@11:35 ... 👍🏻
These people are on another fucking planet and I WISH I could have been there with them.
SoloHero you'd have loved it, you don't see anyone with alcohol do ya that's why it was nicknamed the BYO Bring Your Own drugs, B.Y.O
The days of my life. I'm going bk there when I die👻
I started raving in 1995 in Los Angeles and on the east coast of the US. Amazing times and memories man!
Seriously, this looks amazing. Who the fuck cares how you or others around you look while they dance, at least they enjoy themselves and have a great night :)
Totally agree with u. I believe that all of us reached that state many times in the past and we should keep any type of complex out of these parties. Parties are made for having fun and dancing while feeling completely free so as to keep good vibes and i always disliked bastards who ruined this because somehow they thought they where better than others.
Yay to normalizing taking an unsafe amount of drugs and to promoting destructive lifestyles
*****
Who said it's being promoted? Everybody is free to take whatever he wants since it's his body and not someone else's. I'm pretty sure there were less drug deaths back in the days than now since people take all kind of research chemicals, which are "legal".
Hah exactly why should it even cross your mind how people are dancing around you its all good vibes! Ecstasy or not!! Glad there is footage of the good old times, it's nothing close to this in this generation.. Shame really. There's a few events like this still going but rarely, perfect place for the original 88-94 ravers :)
Matt Trikz amen...
Loved every minute I was there..... back in the day, nothing else mattered other than having a good time.... and helping others around you to have a good time.
Some of the negative comments on here show people's ages....
If it's a negative comment your probably below 35 and just don't get it.
Rave on people.... peace love and unity
Right with ya. Peace and pumpin tunes
+graham andrews I'm 30, so I'm in the old and the new camp. Back then no one gave a toss, now everyone cares about how they look. That's social media for you, I know what age I'd rather be.
+graham andrews Never went to the warehouse in donny, but i am a rave head through and through, "to all of us from back in the day !!! this was our 60s, we took it up a few notches LET THE MEMORIES REMAIN
+graham andrews the kids know shit about music TBH
graham andrews everyone used to be on the double decker bus outside
These were unselfish times.. It's not who you were or what you wore and your hair etc.. It was the music that drove us. No violence or pick pocketing.. It was peace n love n unity.. We didn't have much money.. No mobiles.. Etc.. But we knew how to party.. You younger ones Really missed out lol
As a 14 year old living in Houston, I'm left out because no one here listens to Dance music. And you're right...everyone is selfish in this age compared to the 90's and such and I'm VERY jealous. I would do anything to be a 90's teen, growing up somewhere like L.A. with tons of rave filled with Acid House, Techno, Breakbeat, Jungle, Happy Hardcore, maybe some old skool dubstep, etc... An Ecstasy playground filled with beautiful, wonderful, brilliant, caring people. Not a bunch of rich kids who think they hard af, who listen to shitty recycled trash because it's what cool kids listen to, who make fun of the socially awkward or weird people, who are so fucking insecure, or who listen to so called "Trap, Dubstep, House, Techno, Hardcore." So called "real music" the media a labels throw at the public. It's a shame :( Anyways P.LU.R.R.
+Sophie huckerby-gore ^^
Sarah huckerby-newbold you're so right . couldn't of put it better myself!!!
Sarah huckerby exactly what I was thinking th other day. The 90s seemed incredibly selfless and where common civility still remained even on the dancefloor. Sure we have great clubs like Fabric and Berghain and festivals now but the sense of the not giving a damn about what others think of you and just rolling with it and enjoying the music seems to have disappeared. It's all about who you can pull and get into bed with rather than just having a sick time blowing off steam
Sarah huckerby I'm 42 now and miss every EVERY second that goes by from the OLD BYO WITH EAZY D MC RUSH MZONE NATZ
Anyone who's taken MD before can just feel the pure elation beginning at 4:50. When that beat picks up after a brief pause, there's a reason they call it Ecstasy.
I started going to raves in 1994 and my first one was Fantazia vs Ark in Blackpool. I was only 14 but I remember it so well, the atmosphere was incredible, it was hot, sweaty, loud and the whistles were deafening. After that i went to loads more, I was mainly a Vibealite regular when it was in Bradford but also went to Pandemonium, Pleasuredome, Ark, amongst others. I still go out now but only a few times a year. The main difference between those days and now is the following.
1. In those days it was frowned upon if you were drunk at a rave, you were 'the pisshead'. I only ever saw 1 or 2 people drunk back then.
2. Back then everybody danced and felt comfortable doing so and even if you were a self-conscious person, as i was, that dissolved when you saw everybody else dancing so you automatically joined in.
3. If you bumped into someone or vice versa, you or them couldn't apologize enough. You then shook hands and went or your way.
4. Whistles and horns made the atmosphere better.
5. Girls were much safer, less rapey pervs around.
6. Because Events like this were very underground and niche and you had to get tickets from behind the counter of a local record shop, it made it much more of an effort, people went for the MUSIC alone. This filtered out many of the knob heads, trouble makers.
7. Nearly everyone was either on speed or Pills, or both. lol. No Ketamine, GHB, Bubble or any of that shite. Which meant a more coherent and 'on the same level' crowd who's collective attention could be held by the DJ much easier.
10. No phones, people on the dance floor weren't distracted which made for a better atmosphere.
11. The DJ was unseen, tucked in corner up in the rafters somewhere, the Event was about YOU and the Music.
I’m a blackpool lad. I remember those days
Did you go to the Zone at the venue or Palace?
Agree with everything apart from number 4!! They were as annoying as fuck....LOL!!!! 👍👍🙂🙂😉😉❤❤❤
Agree with everything except number 4
Really well articulated
I started the year before you (93) and it defined my life till 97/98 when I drifted away from the scene
Mad times the mid 90’s in clubland ❤️🙏🏼
I went to zone jenks bar and the palace 94 to see prodigy
Probably the best video on youtube :)
One of the best I concur
This makes me crave MDMA so bad. I wish I had a huge group like this to roll with.
The doves were so pure back then, was unreal 👌🏻🍀❤️
Lethal and beautiful 🤩
Not one head facing the DJ!!!! Everyone just going for it. Love it!!!
Because that was the stage in front of the DJ facing the main crown who was facing the DJ if you catch my drift.😉
7:00 where the planets are aligned again and these three guys made the perfect symbiosis. The golden minute, the epitome of epicness.
Jorge Caña Kero Hairs stick on end at this point!
+Jorge Caña Kero That's my favorite part too. One of the greatest things to be captured on film.
That big guy is the absolute best at this
The big lad is having a nice time. He just got home yesterday
I'm so happy this has 1.3M views now. I remember when I first found this video it has like 3k plays and I knew then it was pure comedic gold
The first 9 minutes with Autistic Andy and then Gurning Gary were 9 of the finest minutes of my life
The gurning was always strong back in the early 90s.... Lol
thats why they were £20 a pop not like nowadays at £2
Theyre stronger nowadays. 2016 has the strongest pills yet
Aidan97 no they dont, they are cheap and nasty.
jamestoni Hate to be you haha. Here in ireland all our pills at the moment are very very strong. 200mg+
@@Louthsk8er bollocks
proper drugs, proper music.
U knows it my man ! 😛
+Nathan Temple YEAH DIDNT GO ORBIT THEN AT MORLEY LEEDS SHAME
now youre talking wow what a club dave angel hes a legend
Nathan Temple proper music?
proper eee's like =FFS
God, I love this. I've watched it 6 times this week. I showed my wife and she said "I can almost smell the dry ice".
Nothing but love for everyone in this video. Peace and love. Remember, we're all just spiritual beings on a human journey.
Damian Fitzgerald Same!
@@krissyk261187 LOVE MAN
They called him the Shooter. When the occasion demanded it he would always pull out the big guns, gurning like a madman, undaunted by the ravers worst enemy, a lack of co ordination and dancing ability. What did he care he was having the time of his life. Better days.
"I have a feelin' them pills weren't duds!"
Around 93 the snowballs were my favorite. Strong as fuck. 2 and you was off it
20 quid a pop back then...
@@MrYazbo and worth every penny.
The gurning guy is called Nigel Cram, he went on to be a successful businessman and owns a holiday park. He also has the not so shabby job of restoring vintage cars. TRUE STORY
omg Indeed, I typed Nigel Cram into google and it came up with a "Rydal Garage York added a new photo - with Nigel Cram." in facebook and the photo looks very much like him anyway.
Thanks! I was wondering what he went on to do. That's definitely him. Is there a rave room in that holiday park? Fun for the entire family!
@@X2LR8 lol this is quite a find. Someone should send Nigel a copy of this video, I'm sure it would be a blast from the past for him.
Isn't that his sister next to him?
This is his defining moment
I think some of these people might be on drugs
Nah it was the heat 🔥
No shit dude!
I think some od them might not...but no they all where😂
Might be possible;)
When drugs were good and people were nice to be with, I miss all this, shame the youth of today don't have anything like this that they can call there own
Greatest. Video. Ever.
+Peter Gash Carloss.. pumpy up techno we called him
Did I look like that, cool. That guy in the the dungerees is now a world respected mime artist, working out of Paris.
Those were the days!!! I'm 41 years old - I went to a music festival on the weekend & the kids these days simply do not know how to rave like we did back in the early 90s! I feel so privileged to have experienced this era :) PLUR
I really love how nobody's trying to get off with each other and how everyone's in their own little zone.
The girl owning it at 12:03 is awesome.
she's adorable - love her vibe
Just listen to this music... man it is 1992... i dont know who the dj is, but he was beyonde the time much far far away, hat down for this
A unique time in youth culture history when for a few years people stopped caring about being cool and just concentrated on the energy of the moment. Won't find anything like this today. E's not that good anymore.
Anyone know the first tune on this set please ? ruclips.net/video/kzWn_4j_7Do/видео.html
the girl with the whistle has absolute class, back then.. she's one of those who you always look around for when u are at parties.. guys know what i'm talking about.. :D
She’s as tidy as a savile row suit. For sure.
Love and respect to everyone still out there who can remember how good it felt to have the time of your life at the BYO in the 90'S.
the tweeker in the beginning is fucking awesome
he's tripping 😆
clenched jaw, rapid eye movements, constant smiling. Hes rolling
This was just before my time. I was listening to cassette tapes of nights like these with my buddies, but was too young to experience the real thing in 92.
I didn't start frequenting donny warehouse until 1998.
Once I started going I never missed a Saturday night for two year's, lol. It was all hard house by then.
The odd time we'd stay until 6 in the morning, but most of the time we'd leave about 4 and hop in a taxi to Sheffield, heading to niche and insomniacs.
No combovers, no quiffs, no topless gym freaks... ahhh they were better days.
Yes sir,the good ol day's 👍🎵🎶💨💨
Colonel Sanders yup, ibiza full of baby oiled up posers now, but leave us folically challenged alone, we all get old #baldlivesmatter!
Wah a quiff???
If you could go back in time and tell them that 1.2 million people would be watching them dance threw hand held mobile devices and laptops ect...I wonder what their reaction would be 😄👌
This was in the 90's and one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen with the bobbed hair cut 5:00 oh God I hope she is alive and well.
yeah shes hot
1digitalwatcher she is the cutest thing ever I totally agree with you.
Jackie kennedy
She is 57 now ha
@@sammboogie looks the spitting image of this women who lived in Barton upon Humber who is 57-58?now funny enough, I remember she use to go to Donnie a lot for a night out back in the day wonder if it's her? Name was Fiona if I remember correctly.
that tall man felt the music more than anyone in the world
He could TASTE the music
He is so cute in his concentration and moves…. Ravehugbear;)
worked the door here for 5 years !! banging !
Well i m 53 old and those days getting out and dance wasn t boring at all, but no mobile phone in the house. People seam to really enjoy when they wanted, and the music helped. The minute you get in the house you could feel the mood.
ecstasy and piano..... fkin LETHAL on the dance floor ☺
Miss seeing faces / expressions like these today. 90’s and early 00’s 🙌🏻
I can't help but come back to this clip when I'm feeling all nostalgic. It just sums up the whole scene from back then.
1:00 classic E expression, when your face feels like it cannot possibly contain the demented bliss you are experiencing. I spent entire nights with that look on.
I was here from 1995 till 1997
I love this video. It's a RUclips classic. I loved those days.
I find myself watching this video over and over daily - it's that awesome.
Hope you are still watching in 2024 ,no internet no mobiles ,heaven
The only people who would diss this are those who never experienced such nights themselves.
They look like they are all having an absolute belter... ha ha ha
Keeping the rave alive!! 🔥🔥 Greetings from the Netherlands
I love it at 11:55 when that girl is singing along to the track, brilliant!
Yes brother it’s a classic
I'm unbelievably blessed to have been a regular at the BYO and the double decker bus outside and inside right where the camera is was the hole in the ceiling in the early to mid 90s cos nobody will understand that all of us who were there went to heaven before we'd passed away
Brilliant nights that's never going to come back again and will never be able to be beaten by any other nights ever again, the early 90s were all you could dream of back then
Those were the days. Were men were bold and rave was just invented. All the ravers under 1 roof nothing could stop us now. H9RGO (tabs). Edlo. 👊
OMG! The memories this brings back are unbelievable.
Someone build me a time machine, I want to go back!
Whenever I feel crap, or had a bad day at work, working for the man, meeting KPI's, I put this video on. It's a reminder of a great time and puts a huge smile on my face.
Sounds like your a fellow call centre alumni ? Lol
I am MC Rush, DJ Easy D, we have got your potion we have got your remedy. Jesus man. There isn't a Saturday goes by that I don't wish I was back at the BYO.
Eazy D and MC Rus BYO 2-3 be lucky to get on that dance floor. Amazing times.
Still laughing at the guy with cheesy grin from 26 seconds "Keep watching him PMSL" An the Premier leauge of gurning at 2:12 bring back those pills PLEASE. LONG LIVE 90'S DANCE!!!
1992 didn't make many youtube videos, but the ones they did do are undoubtedly the best videos ever.
In 93, lost 3 double doves and in 1015 i still wish i could find them. Can ya imagine what i would get for them on antiques road show pmsfl
discovered 2 absolute bangers from this vid, area 51 - let the music move you and mukka - buruchacca
Also, Zeony lee experience .. love energy
@@brianoneill2776 you legend! Shazam didn't work
Just about to pass the nou camp in Barcelona and these songs just make it. Awesome video
Spent many sat nights 91 & 92 here . Great place and great people , vibe changed when they opened upstairs and got bigger , happy days and would do it all again :) Stamford crew
If it wasn't for one man, this would never have happened. A real gentleman, made a few bob, set up Doncaster Warehouse amongst other businesses, always remembered his roots and lived in Donny, had time for everybody, had some cracking cars and bikes and regularly drove a 1930s Bentley to work. Had some banging nites in Warehouse! Graham Rhoden, RIP fella!
Great promoter no club anywhere near byo if you wanted a cup a tea a ride on a bus or just wanted to express your feelings with no one sticking a phone in ya face...a lot of my friends have passed since the good days Rip to my friends too❤❤❤
I'll never get bored of this
Love how you don't see anyone having a drink at all!
Yip :P
Well, cause probably they didn't need anything else apart water...
Or a damn phone
There was no liquor license so you couldn't buy anything = no drinks
Just imagine blastin these tunes out on a hot summers night on The Giza Plataue dancin under The Pyramids
must have some snowballs about that night !
started raving again about 4 years ago prior to that stopped in 1994 . Loving all the gurning faces , still see them at old skool raves today
This was well worth 15 minutes of my life
Im back here for more :) When I get to heaven this will be what it will be like ,forever
Amazing vibe
Fly high and heppy 🤤
Dude turned into a dinosaur right before our eyes!
😂
man those ppl in the video are legends, save the rave, rave to the grave!
Cameraman hit the jackpot right there.
Must have watched this around twenty times. Brings back great memories.
Best days ever. We will never get these days back. Coast to coast was my home. Where i seen DJRap and the likes of MC lennie. And bassman. Best days ever of my raving days. 😎😀
I were there....micky the original oldskool stomper used to live around corner..
.effin hell it were good
The good old days!!! You would never see a fight at a place like that. Everyone would be in harmony hugging complete strangers. Pills then were much better than the shit of today. They make you want to sit in the corner and mong out where the old skool pills made you dance
Guy with the ponytail and white gloves is my brother 😂
That guy was having a great time. Props to him. Hope he's doing well.
@@Devinduhdood yes he’s doing great thanks buddy 😊
These were the days this is what ya call an oldskool rave no 1 pushing no 1 fighting no 1 starting trouble just every1 getting on and having fun
This Jackie Kennedy Brunette is 👍💥💥 And the Party , and the Music, too....Party of our early 20's....
Первый раз таблетку я сьел в 16 ,и 6 часов дискотеки прошло на одном дыхании.
Those were thé times❤❤
Best Video on RUclips
The Mimer, Donny Osmond, and Big shooter ..
THOSE were the days! If you wasn't there you missed something special! Wish I had a time machine!
From Doncaster Been there done that wicked times 😘
so interesting to me that this is what parties where like back then!
I've seen this video a few times and it really does make my day.
The dude in the dungers is a stone cold gangsta.
Life was simpler then, ITS FRIDAY yeeeeeehah
90’s,best days, great electronic music ,alt music, great time to be alive.
top night. used to do.2 raves on a Saturday. after dark Morley then byo. the red bus outside was brill for a chill out...
If there were raves like this today, no one would be dancing or enjoying the moment. They'd instead be on their smartphones, texting, or taking selfies to post on facebook. A sad generation our current one is.
I went to a party this weekend...first proper rave since early 2000 and everyone taking selfies or sat on their ass texting.....sad times
AGREED
While you're mostly correct, I don't think we'd have been particularly different had we had the technology.
