If they had not gotten Mr. Kawai to do the theme, I really don't think I would go see this film. The soundtrack was another character that, if you'll excuse the expression, 'fleshed out' the storyline.

Tengo mis reservas con esta película; pero hay que valorarle esto, el hecho de traer a Kenji y de respetar en cierto sentido, el alma de una obra tan única.

Con el ultimo trailer comprendí que este proyecto no me iba a gustar. Frente a lo de kenji, ghost in the shell le es a Kenji kawai, como le es Ghost in the shell a Oshii. La obra no sera la mejor; pero sin duda generaron algo muy especial, que perdura y eso seguramente le faltara a este live action.

It was pretty good, but I doubt anyone will be listening to it over a decade later like the original. No idea why they wouldn't use it, or at least a variation of it. Hope they at least use it in the end credits or something. I'd love to hear it on the huge theater sound system.
As a hardcore GITS fan i have to say, this intro music is better than the original " Making of Cyborg ", and now that i feel desgusting after having admited this, so ill go wash my mouth and fingers with bleach.

In 1995,"Reincarnation" was perfect and its newer counterpart,"Utai IV: Reawakening," a hybrid of the original song and the opening of GitS 2: Innocence,is perfect for the late 2010s. Personally,I prefer the newer version more and it's not because of the live-action film. It's because of the key. It's obvious that the key used for Reincarnation" was the key of G and that's not a bad key. However,they should've used the key of F# for the original. But if that didn't happen,we wouldn't have "Utai IV: Reawakening." That's why I prefer the newer version more than the original.
