      Dennis tells the truth about what the conservatives are really up to and also he is the only real man in parliament unlike most of the conservatives who are only interested in serving the interests of big business and corporations by giving them big tax cuts ie corporate welfare and at the same time introducing punitive treatment of our most vulnerable people the sick and disabled which has led to hundreds of suicides not to mention violating there human rights which was highlighted in a United nations report.

      @King Edward was emperor Ooooh ... My father was a fitter engineer in LNER/British Rail, and I have worked for the NHS, so you could not have chosen better, two of the nationalised industries where they have been undermined. NHS is actually partially privatised and is in a worse state of affairs. When BR was privatised, fares went up, there were plenty of accidents and compensation cases, maintenance was horrendous, taking longer to get to destinations having to change often, crowded carriages. I rest my case.

    • @mop714
      @mop714 4 года назад +3

      @King Edward was emperor Frankly, we could all have a good life, if commonsense prevailed. I believe in private industry and I also believe in certain industries being nationalised. If we did not have the extremes in policies of consecutive Government ruining our economy over the last 50 years, I would agree with you in part. I have worked for both private industry and nationalised and can see the pros and cons of both. Both Tory and Labour personnel in power have made some real mistakes which has costed our economy and our reputation. The problem with nationalised industry is accountability, and if that was sorted, it would work. Next year the present Government will have £811 billion of taxpayers/corporate tax. If they cannot fix it with this, and make good trade agreements .... well, we will have to wait and see. Good to debate, but to do it with honour. "Manners Maketh Man".

    Unique character. At least you knew where he stood on things.
    49 years as an MP and only took his basic salary, that is genuine commitment and strong moral character.
    Did not like his politics but appreciate his commitment to his cause and his obvious integrity.
    He is still alive, so wish him well in his retirement.

      OPHYCLIDE I’m not sure how a back bencher could be a better representative than Skinner, he is known nationally, gets reported and articulates his position. I am actually a Tory of the old kind but have always felt the people of Bolsover know what they are getting and are privileged to have such an MP. My god, todays Parliament is full of supine Pygmys.
