Years ago working on the pediatric floor, I was taking care of a child who just went through 10 hours of brain surgery. The physician who did the surgery, exhausted, came and sat with the child because he was concerned and wanted to be there ‘just in case’. I went home that evening, turned on the TV, and there was Ben Affleck, crying, because he won an award for acting. That day, I realized how backwards our priorities had become. I’ve never watched an awards ceremony/show since. I don’t care how talented someone is at ACTING. Since then, I primarily work in ER and have had the pleasure of working with/being around firefighters, paramedics, police, ex-military, as well as hospital employees who make everything happen. We give way too much credibility to these celebrities & need to put our focus where it should be…with the real heroes and people who make life happen

Standards have really dropped if standing up at an awards show and uttering "F*ck Trump" qualifies a person as a legitimate "critic" of anything. De Niro would be well advised to remember who he really is: a guy who came to prominence by uttering lines that others have written for him. He'd be better off sticking to what he does best, or at least educating himself BEFORE opening his mouth.

The economy is great. Higher wages and lower unemployment than anytime Trump was in office. Trump left office with unemployment above 6% now it's around 3.5% Inflation is high but it's lower in the US than in most of the developed world. Crime was up during Trump's administration and it's crazy how all of those violent protests by Reps and Dems died out once Trump was out of office. WEIRD! Why is it that all of those riots happened while Trump was in the WH? The border was a problem when Trump was in office too. His solution? To fail at building a border wall that he spent over 20 billion on. Failed to get Mexico to pay for it. Failed to pass really any of his campaign promises. He did manage to get several dozen of his own administration to plead guilty and arrested for their crimes (Those numbers go up every week) Also Trump has two impeachments and 91 felonies. So I guess he beats Biden at that statistic.

I’m 62 and growing up I think in a way so blind. Maybe there is a positive to really see these individuals, groups,etc. I know after the last presidential election it made me so aware and scared at the same time. Now we have to even be afraid of big companies and what they are up too. So I guess I am most thankful for my bc Lord and Savior who watches over us. Families today are going through so much. So we truly need to continue to open our eyes, pray and attempt to try and do our best to care for those around us. I know I fall short but we all know we are not perfect and now we clearly are aware how broken individuals around the world are. I know those in our political world fall short but we must continue to pray for everyone. I am so thankful to live in America and it is important that we think of future generations.
