I got a gen 1 Sonoma i wanna know which route is cheaper 4.3l vortec or 4.8l LS and what all do i need to diy

Cheapest would be 4.3 but for the most fun I’d go with an ls, there’s plenty of RUclips videos on showing people to ls swap these s10’s as it’s a super common swap. If you want it to be even simpler do a small block Chevy, would be cheaper and I prefer the small blocks over the ls’s.
