I went to see this when it came out with about 7 work mates of mine because we all worked on a similar office environment (software company) . We didn’t laughed for a minute. We watched the movie in silence. We were all terrified. That was not a movie but a documentary about our day to day life. Even the boss with the little mug was spot on. We were all in awe and amazed. After we left the theater we laughed for hours. Then the next day at the office was just insane because no matter where we looked we saw the movie in real life. And then our boss with his mug came by and couldn’t understand why we were all cracking up every time he passed by. 😂
@@icreateworlds bro!!! I worked at Dell and this was such a huge movie when I was younger. After being at Dell it became almost unwatchable, my life was a perpetual Monday
Michaek Bolton.... I celebrate his entire catalog
I see something from this movie at my company almost every day. One of the best comedies of all time
David Herman deserves more recognition; he was hilarious in MadTV.
both him and Orlando Jones. the originals of Mad.
I watched so much of it as a kid but I somehow don't remember him in it. Office Space ate up the memories. Haha
@@admtech69 brought to you by Carl's Jr...
@geraldframinghammer2626 why do you keep saying that?
@@richwhiteman2755 Idiocracy reference..
Office Space is easily one of the greatest comedies of all time. It's certainly brought me many laughs over the years.
I was hoping they'd give a shout out to Diedrich Bader...I’m sure he'd would have been there but he's doing the drywall up at the new McDonald's.
I'm sure he's doing two chicks.
At the same time.
No...Hell no...Shit no man..I believe you'd get your ass kicked saying something like that man
No man, he was busy doing two chicks at the same time.
I'd tell ya what I'd do man...two chicks at the same time man.
Actually I heard he's somewhere doing 2 chick's at the same time.
One of my favorite movies of all time.
I concur with Mike Judge. There's no doubt that Lumberg became a tech CEO, ran the company into the ground, and received a golden parachute as everyone else was laid off.
Ron Livingston was amazing in Loudermilk. I am hoping they can rekindle it at some point again.
I didn't even recognize David Herman. Dude looks completely different from the movie.
dudes fucking hilarious
Me too. It took me about 10 minutes to realized who he was! Ha! Its crazy he 57 years old..
Why shouldn't he change? He's the one that doesn't suck. 🙂You know, you can just call him "Dave".
Steven Root is amazing. His Gaston Means character performance in Boardwalk Empire is a total masterpiece.
@@genem3785 yes, I loved that corrupt congressman guy!
I like when they talk about all the rap in the movie and how they considered taking it out. I am someone that HATES rap, yet I firmly believe it just fits in this movie. I wouldn't change it at all.
Mike Judge is the greatest. I hope he does something big again soon. Silicon Valley was absolutely brilliant as well.
@@twisterwiper he’s never missed imo
New episodes of King Of The Hill will be on Hulu in early 2025. I❤Mike Judge!
His show on Peacock, In The Know, is pretty funny. It seems like it is claymation. Only 6 episodes currently.
Also Mike Judge was the on the upright bass with Texas Blues master Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets back in the day and is on the ,Rack Em Up, album .
Office Space is a classic movie!
Saw it in the movies only a month into my second office job. It changed my life.
Oh, you're the one..
@@craigcavaliere6744 i take it you don't work in a office anymore?
@@IanRutherford-bz1xd That job lasted less than three years. I've been teaching ever since.
It was nice seeing the cast of office space interview whoever this lady is…
She was definitely not watching Beavis and Butthead, whoever she is.
Yeah, she's terrible. Leading questions, won't STFU, etc...
Even though it was rated R, I saw Office Space in the theatre when I was 16. I'm 40 now and it is still my favorite movie.
@@GaryGeat28 I also was one of the few who saw it in theaters but I was 19
I actually saw it 3 times in the theater and bought the DVD as soon as it was released (and over the years upgraded to a later DVD with more bonus features, and then Blu-Ray). The trailers interested me when it was being released, so I went to see it It was hilarious and I couldn't recommend it enough after seeing it the first time. I was 19 at the time.
The Bill Lumbergh character reminded me A LOT of a manager from a grocery store that I worked at a couple of years prior while in high school. After I saw it the first time, I told a friend of mine from high school, who had also worked at that store, about it, and he came with me to see it on one of those subsequent viewings. His reaction was priceless when he saw how similar Lumbergh was to that manager.
I was going to community college and had a part time job in an office at the time it was released, so I had some office experience that was also relatable. And being that I've had a lot more office experience in the years since, my appreciation for this movie has only grown.
I recall creating a directory on our office server called /Corporate Training with a subdirectory called /TPS reports. A downloaded copy of Office Space survived in there until the system was replaced.
Crazy, I waited on Mike Judge the morning of the 10th Anniversary showing of Office Space and couldn’t believe it was 10 years old. Now it’s 25…crazy.
I love the subtle things in the movie like the name of the apartment complex where Peter lived
David Hernan changed the most!!! Whoa haha
whatever you do, don't call him Micheal Bolton lol
@@Novaximus “Why should I have to change my name, he’s the one who sucks.”
Office Space was the first movie I ever downloaded online back in the day from a IRC chat...it was dialup & it took DAYS. It was so worth the wait. Not proud to admit it, and happy to say, I paid for the movie a couple times over the years to make up for it. I vividly remember the opening scene with David Herman rapping , then turning the music down in his car during morning rush hour.....that was the preview of the days long wait I was in for & I was pumped.
IRC throwback I used to be an uploader back in the day. Got access to 0day downloads lol.
This movie is actually a documentary of my actual job. It's a masterpiece that has saved my sanity more times than I can count. lol.
One of the most quotable movies ever!
I love "Office Space"! I've lost count how many times I've watched it.
Ron is adorable, always smiling❤
Some damn good hypnosis therapy. It is still working.
The Ghetto Boys song in the printer scene is fucking iconic. I don't think there is a more chosen scene for student filmmakers to use for their student projects. It's prefect in every way and one of the scenes that gives Office Space it's cult classic vibe. There are lots of movies that were smash hits at the box office but that no one talks about anymore but everyone still references office space all the time.
It's impossible to put into words how great Office Space was. It's a perfect movie.
What would I do with a million bucks? 2 chicks. One of my favorite lines from the movie.
I never knew he played the hypnotist!
Ron looks ageless wow!
R.I.P. Phil Hartman
Phil Hartman was in this movie?
@@mangos2888 no but he and Steven Root did work together on the sitcom called News Radio. I loved that show.
@@bmorrow111100 Yeah I heard the shoutout when he mentioned it
Ron Livingston has transformed into a young Oliver Stone.
Get Livingston to play Stone interviewing Mike Judge as Putin.
An underrated comedy, in my opinion.
I got to be directed by Mike on Silicon Valley, and i can confirm this dude's normal voice is always "smarter butthead"
Nice humblebrag
I lived in Dallas, TX during the Mike Judge beginnings and risings-to-fame. Garland, TX (a suburb of Dallas city proper) was the impetus for "Arlen" Texas (I also went to high school with some guys who were the epitome of Beavis & Butthead, LOL). It was fun knowing that Mike was finally getting his props for all his hard work. Sidenote: I also worked at a telecommunications company during the heyday of Dilbert, where we _seriously_ thought whoever drew Dilbert worked at our company, it was SO spot on! BTW, Stephen Root was on another office related TV show in the 90s called "News Radio," with the great Bill Hartmann, and Dave Foley of "Kids in the Hall."
Phil Hartman, not Bill.
Joe Rogan talks about the sitcom often on his pod cast 🎤 ....
Wow David Herman looks so insanely different
I saw Office Space opening weekend as a teenager and loved it. I loved Beavis & Butt-Head and knew Mike Judge had done Office Space. I had also seen The Big Lebowski opening weekend and this reminded me of that in a way. I ended up seeing it 3 times in theaters because I took friends to share it with them. I figured it'd become a big hit on home media because it was too funny not to spread by word of mouth.
I actually have printed out TPS reports in my cubicle and an Initech coffee cup. lol
Michael Bolton’s got a case of the Mondays. 😂
Michael Bolton looks like he's had a rough Monday.
… didn’t even recognize him!
@@jhopkins213 Guess he didn’t get that memo.
Well, you learn something new everyday. I’ve seen Office Space at least 10 times and I don’t know that I ever picked up that Samir was Jordanian. Given that Ajay is of Indian descent in real life, I just always assumed he was Indian.
The more you know!
They should have talked about the pieces of flair. That was based on TGI Fridays. After Office Space became a hit cult film years later, TGI Fridays stopped forcing their waiters to wear buttons on their uniforms.
David looks like he’s either dissociating or on a very strong edible
Acting foolishly.
Someone uploaded a photo from this exact interview to his Wikipedia page. I busted out laughing.
Might be the hard stuff.
he reminds me of my brother-in-law. He'll be real low and kind of down one second then he'd burst out with over eccentrics with little filter and would often double down after reading the negative body language of the room. He'd often try to mimic some Jim Carey kind of crazy body motions and really raise his voice.
Then he went on meds, diagnosed with adhd. went on a depression bindge until he "found god". Ever since he's been super obsessive over religion. In the past he'd have spouts of being super into something but would often quit in a blink on it. But this religion spell has been like going on for the last 5 years. I guess it's the perfect out because it's something that's free, can't be argued with, very brainwashing, and offers a ton of hope and self justification while one can just constantly tailor "the messages" to whatever strikes their cord.
But people like this you really have to set boundries with. Cause they'll get carried away.

NOT ONE MENTION of Deidrich Bader?
They did mention Lawrence!
@@rowdyruffmojo thanks, I missed it
Was working at TGIFridays when this hit the theaters, and a group of us from work went and saw it. We were absolutely dying during the Chotchkie's scenes....
not only did i see office space in the theatre, but i saw a special preview a week early before it came out in 1999
David Herman seems like he is high AF
Ron Livingston is looking great. Almost like a team America character
His smile just outshines everyone on stage in presence.
Loudermilk! Season 4 and beyond!
He was so good in Band Of Brothers.
A sequel would be hilarious! Especially David!
This woman did a good job as the interviewer. She looks like she did the research and prepared before hand.
Wise guys from N.Y. appreciated the printer beating scene. 😂
I loved this movie when I saw at first time then I became an employee with an office and noticed every detail that movie has focused on so I loved it more
A real gem of a film
I saw this in theaters in 6th grade, it changed my life haha I soon retired and lived a simple life
Mike Judge is the absolute BEST!! A class act and the funniest person in Hollywood in my opinion. EVerything he does cracks me up and makes me smile and get in a good mood.
When is the new KOTH going to be released? I can't wait for it!!!! Beavis and Butthead was ME and my friends exactly 100% as a teenager in the80's.
I just cant express how much Mike Judge and his comedy means to me.
Office space is a masterpiece! I saw it In the theater back in the day, got the dvd shortly after. Watch it online currently many times a year.
1 of my top 5 favorite movies of all time👍
I loved the movie. All of the characters were so valuable to the movie and its one of my favorites. Thanks Mike for the movie.
I would've liked to see Diedrich Bader on the panel, but I guess Lawrence was just a minor character.
Lawrence was so great.
He's in Napoleon Dynamite too. Karate teacher...
He was busy hangin drywall in the McDonald's.
Ron Livingston and Stephen Root teamed up again in Boardwalk Empire doing drama. Was pretty good
Saw this as a young man, late teens, and it changed my life.
Stephen Root (Milton) is the biggest acting talent on this stage by far. He's fantastic!! Love his King Of The Hill characters and every character he's done .. decades long list.
And on Barry, amazing talent!
I loved him on Seinfeld.
I still have my office space mug!
All these guys are awesome - what a cool cast for an all-time great movie!
David Herman looks a bit like
Lawrence in the film played by Diedrich Bader.

Fantastic movie. In my top ten. Never gets old. Always relevant. Right there with Rocky for ensemble casting and strong characters.
All right, office space fans. Let’s crowdsource this. Everyone take one question cut out the host audio and type out the question. This will be a much better watch. I’ll take the first question….and go!
Milton character is hella funny.
hes having a right blast.
A modern classic. Everything worked.
The comment about middle management people is very, very true
"In late June of 1995, as you were headed to the grocery store around the corner from the Applebees that would later inspire the scene with the flair, and this was just after Japanese studio execs had sold off Universal, and things were definitely feeling volatile in the film industry, there was a lot of uncertainty around whether the..." I'm sure I'm one of many million who could/can relate to this movie. I worked for EDS as a systems programmmer back at that time. We had cubicles (managers had offices) and shared a very large office space. We never had a Milton, but over the years working in offices with a lot of people you meet some 'different' types. Ironically, I was laid off about three years after the movie came out! They had given me a clock as a 10 year anniversary gift back in 1993, and I still had it when I was laid off in 2002. Having seen this movie and the scene where they destroy the printer, at some point I decided I was going to have a little 'ceremony' and destroy my clock. I would heave it against a brick wall and obliterate it. I never did get around to doing that, and I still have the clock. I'm now retired and no longer have the urge to destroy it. But who knows what tomorrow might bring? :)

I worked at a company called Strasbaugh in SLO, CA. There was a vendor overseas we worked with called Innotech and they had a goofy logo! I loved the parallels. And, I have seen the movie 25 times at least. From an economic standpoint, an Office Space 2 movie sequel could compound after Covid, moving folks back to the office and exposing them to "office life" again. If you brought back most of the whole cast, you could really make something. In the past, I worked with Silcon Valley PR/video firms, been to semiconductor shows/fabs/facilities, etc., an Office Space 2 movie could be awesome! Another 2-3 years, the actors will be a bit too old. They are all close to retirement. You need to work the angles for an Office Space 2.
I love this flick i related to this way to young. I need to find my psp and re watch when this is done.
