Deltas use 'Condition 4' in which the hammer was set down, requiring the safety to be 'Off' and Army used 'Condition 3' which was simply safety on, no round in the chamber. The Delta tried to explain the misunderstanding to the Ranger Captain, who either didn't care or didn't follow, and the Delta just brushed him off a bit similar to how the movie portrays it, though perhaps not as disrespectfully.

I just rewatched this movie last month. Despite not seeing it in over a decade, I was surprised just how much of it I remembered. But it feels too short now, like it should be a 3 hour movie. It got me looking up what modern day Mogadishu is like, and it's looking pretty nice now, a bit touristy.
I rewatch it every Veteran’s Day. It’s a great film. If you haven’t, I recommend watching it with the veteran’s commentary. Hearing from men who were actually there is amazing.
Runs better than 2042 apparently Edit: Delta Force devs, your game is great! However, please focus on optimizing the campaign. Multiplayer runs really well.
the MP uses UE4 and it ran like butter. the story mode which you see here... uses UE5. which you can just tell by the stuttering that going on. it runs like UE5 lol.

This reminds me of the original Delta Force Black hawk down that was released in 2003. I played that game in 2009 for the first time and it was quite an adventure. I wasn't aware that the storyline is based on true events until I watched the movie, then I decided to play the game again. Truly a gem ❤

Isn't this game based on a movie that basically said "look at these savage and barbaric Somalians" and just glossed over how thousands of civilians were killed by American forces during the civil war in order to portray the US. forces as "heroic peace keepers"?
I am the child of a survivor of the Battle of Mogadishu (aka the "Black Hawk Down" incident), a medic who hopped into a humvee to go rescue trapped American soldiers in possibly the most hostile city on the planet at the time. He said they handed out more purple hearts the day they got back than any before or since in his career, and many of them were posthumous. To see it represented like this is truly incredible. Great work, guys. I have not played the campaign yet, but I am hopeful from the trailer I have seen that it is a good portrayal.
Props to your dad, I also was a medic in country there when this happened. I wasn't out on the road but was there taking care of the wounded when they were brought in.
I'm so frigging hyped for this. Wanted a remaster of DFBHD a long time ago. Apart from the occasional frame drops, visuals look awesome. Shooting from that CAR15 seemed so surreal.
Amazing how this feels like a completely different game than the other half of this title. It's like a juxtaposition between early 00's combat games and whatever the vibrant-colored ADD-induced slip'n'slide gameplay they shovel now.

Its cool, but sadly not authetic (like the movie too). Back in the day, they dont have Aimpoint M2 and Acog-s, instead they used Aimpoint 2/3000 red dots.
I really loved the original Delta Force series. I understand that the developers have had to reinvent the multiplayer for the modern market, but I do hope that they nail the campaign. I'm not asking for it be exactly like Black Hawk Down 2003 (the DF games were flawed, let's be real), but rather to capture that vibe those DF games had. I also hope they look to the PS2 port/remake by Rebellion for inspiration because the PS2 version had more sophisticated squad mechanics and stuff.

There was a four player desert storm game back in the days of blockbuster that was insanely fun each player had a set class and it required real tactics to pass a level.
It's starting out really well. Small visually immersive setting with helicopter view, sound and visual ambiance. nostalgia reminded me that Medal of Honor, Battlefield, and Call of Duty were working to make their single-player mode perfect back in the day. This is no longer the case today. GOOD JOB

This is what I want Blackhawk Down campaign. Which is similar to Blackhawk Down movie and Delta Force:Blackhawk Down video game back in 2003.
Amazing how this feels like a completely different game than the other half of this title. It's like a juxtaposition between early 00's combat games and whatever the vibrant-colored ADD-induced slip'n'slide gameplay they shovel now.
I just wish they'd make it more authentic to the actual time period and event rather than just basing it on the movie.
This seems like a reboot of the original Delta Force game series. Looks promising.
It is said that the multiplayer game is made with Unreal Engine 4, while Black Hawk Down is made with Unreal Engine 5.
Man , I remember watching this in the theatres with my dad. We watched it 3 times. Bought the damn DVD and watched it at home multiple times.. RIP DAD.

I just played through the original again. Man is it unforgiving. Definitely a product of its time but it still holds up.

I really loved the original Delta Force series. I understand that the developers have had to reinvent the multiplayer for the modern market, but I do hope that they nail the campaign. I'm not asking for it be exactly like Black Hawk Down 2003 (the DF games were flawed, let's be real), but rather to capture that vibe those DF games had. I also hope they look to the PS2 port/remake by Rebellion for inspiration because the PS2 version had more sophisticated squad mechanics and stuff.

I was a bit worried they were going to make a "remake" of the black hawk down incident but in modern times, it's very nice to see they stuck with the source material for the campaign

There was a four player desert storm game back in the days of blockbuster that was insanely fun each player had a set class and it required real tactics to pass a level.
Hyped that this is co-op too. Been a while since we’ve had a good co-op FPS campaign

It's starting out really well. Small visually immersive setting with helicopter view, sound and visual ambiance. nostalgia reminded me that Medal of Honor, Battlefield, and Call of Duty were working to make their single-player mode perfect back in the day. This is no longer the case today. GOOD JOB
