There’s this zoo close where I live and they keep tigers, as soon as those tigers are all grown up and won’t be as “interesting” for the visitors.... they are put down and they get new tiny ones, just so they can make more money. Newspapers have written about this cruelty several times, but does the law step in to stop it? Nope.

That is why some have to live in sanctuaries when they are rescued. Hopefully, they are big, beautiful sanctuaries. Humans are genetically violent for survival. We're like animals just with a little bit more of a complex mind. I'm not saying that animals should be abused, its just that now I'm used to seeing stuff like this. Its just the world we live in and the genetics in our body that makes us cruel and hostile. We aren't all that different from animals if you remove our laws, segregation, and religion. Also, sometimes we don't need to baby animals and try to defend them, they're smart enough to take care of themselves and they can be equally as hostile as us. Some are just a little bit too afraid to do so. Its wrong to hurt an animal, but its very common in today's society.

If anyone says otherwise, why do we say our dogs and cats are happy or sad? Because we see it, but somehow we ignore it on other animals most of the time.
Cows are literally no different, ALL ANIMALS feel - humans are animals - we're mammals just like the cows are.
We are warm blooded, we give birth to live young, we secrete milk for our newborn ----but in cows we take the babies away to steal the milk for us - btw, cancer and disease b/c that milk is not natural to us. We literally don't need it.
But we eat them and drink their breast milk --- how unnatural is that?
...but ice cream, coffee, cereal, etc... and this is what happens, cows and their babies suffer for it

The giraffe wasn't completely unconscious so it was still resisting. The effect of sedatives can be unpredictable so they needed to be very quick. If they aren't quick, they might end up severely injured or dead.
Heartbreaking to see him suffer, so happy they had a happy ending.

James Howlett Sometimes you can't do something. I have no money to donate, and there are no rescues around me. For now all I can do is pray.
One thing that can be done quiet easily is living plant based and it helps tremendously. If we don't put animals in these places, we need no rescuers.
