@@shuffman8094 Yeah but they won't survive in the wild, since they knew nothing but this cage they were in. Also, wild Tigers usually live between 10-15 years so they are really old already.

This kind of story really put me in a morale conundrum, personally i cant just let it be just "at least it end well". What do you think more ethical for the detested circus owner, to put down the 2 tigers, selling the tigers into someone else, or to put them in 15 years of confinement before eventual rescue?

@@MickeyJaymz but the animals have done nothing but live as themselves, they've robbed no banks. Never shot up a school, they just live. Meanwhile we just take.
Really? Typically we treat our own with much worse contempt and abuse. Those who aren't "us" are always degraded to at best mere things. The worst are demonized as less than beings. Many even treat their own as disposable. The natural world is brutal and unforgiving but the human world is much worse.
It’s Africa. Only the strong can worry about others and Africa is a place where everyone is just trying to survive. Takes a former British colony to save the animals from cruelty like this.
When they rubbed each other showing affection and comforting was really moving and touching ! Glad to see they can enjoy nature & freedom from cruelty 🙏🙏👏

the shots of them pressing their faces together are beyond extraordinary. they conveyed an emotion that transcends species, we all felt exactly what they did in that moment.
There is no excuse, cultural or poverty included, that justifies the treatment these tigers endured. To take intelligent, endangered animals and leave them in the dark for days while the train moved towns, sweltering in the heat during the summer & freezing in the ice on cold metal, no bed not even straw, nothing to do (solitary confinement when they have done nothing wrong), starving (compared to tigers in the wild, notice how skinny and frail they are - esp. the male) These tigers lived in total misery. Beyond their barren enclosure, at any point in time they were expected to be entertainment?! & You know they don't want the tigers just laying there, what scars lie beneath the fur? I'll bet he was shaking because in the past, he had been let out of the cage for "training”, and naturally tried to enjoy this glimpse of freedom. You know, rather than the impossible expectation that the tiger would be in a focused state, ready to engage with commands & learn tasks. But I've already written too much to try to convey why there is *NO* excuse for this barbaric treatment. To those responsible for this, not just the Circus of Cruelty, the evil who captured, stored, sold, and anyone else within the chain of custody, and circus goers who enjoyed and did not put a stop to this: You belong in that cage. You will be fed barely enough to live, no daylight for days, alone, in sweltering heat and freezing cold, with nothing but your thoughts, and at any point in time, the cage cover can be thrown open, if you are asleep or depressed from the situation, you will be awoken with a sharp prod, and you will see you are in a tiger conservatory. As long as you stay perfectly in the center of the cage, maybe their claws won’t reach you. After 15 weeks, (a mere fraction of time compared to the 15 years the tigers endured) the door will open, and you, frail & trembling, will hope your victims are not around. But they will be. Lastly, since a M&F were your prisoners, I sure hope you have not stolen their cubs. As the same fate will extend to anyone whom was responsible's kids. Anyone who tries to use excuses for why this occurred (and is likely still occurring in Argentina) to justify this happening to these tigers, are looking down on the intuition inherent to every human by nature. This travesty occurred due to greed and bc a number of people passed the buck by telling themselves, “It’s not my job to stop this,” “There’s nothing I can do about it,” or the most insidious: “They probably have a vet that makes sure they’re healthy.” It should not have taken 15 years to save these tigers.
They are stunning creatures, and they look surprisingly healthy after living in that crate for 15 years. Such a beautiful moment seeing them reunite outside in the grass for the first time. I hope they have many happy years ahead of them.
I was thinking the same thing. They looked very healthy, didn't they? In any case, they have a bigger place to roam now. Tigers in captivity live for around 20/25 years, so they have a few more years to be active together. 🧡
@@nunyabiznes33 eh I mean depending on how much they were fed weekly my concern is are they only going weekly to check on them… I hope they were Atleast giving them fresh water.
@@nunyabiznes33 Well, the thing with that is, if they were fed in large quantities, then it makes sense why they would look healthy enough. Hunting is hard. First you need to find a large prey animal, then you need to catch it and kill it, and most hunts tend to be unsuccessful. Tigers in the wild usually eat their fill once a week or so on average. This isn't the problem, especially seeing how they don't look starved and at least outwardly their hide and eyes look well (teeth are a different story probably). The real crime here is the confinement. Wild animals need to roam. Wild cats need to be able to do cat things. Hell, even domestic cats... I am absolutely against letting them roam in urban environment, and even in rural environment they tend to have shorter lives because wilds be wild. But even urban cats should be vest and leash trained early, and taken to walks in a park or wherever at least twice a week. My hairy little old man of a cat and I will just wait for the night and go explore the streets when the traffic dies down. Sure, he catches a few ticks during summer, but an animal's mental health is just as important as its physical health. So keep the cats happy, both big and small!
@@Killjoy_Mel my current kittie are indoor cats unlike the ones we had in the past that were allowed to roam. I can't really convince them to go outside (but then again our house open directly into the streets).

To see that majestic older male shivering with fear just tore my heart apart. That animal should never know fear. He's the one who is supposed to cause the fear in the wild. Many thanks & blessings to all the people who work so hard to make better lives for these gorgeous creatures, & other animals in bad situations. They are very special people.
You sound like a complete f***wit lmao. So tigers living in fear is somehow more sad than their prey living in fear? 😂 makes no sense at all. Probably some religious nut if that's how you think. The world isn't fair or balanced. Just because something is a predator rather than prey doesn't mean it's life is more valuable
Made me cry so hard when I saw him shivering like he was, it’s sinful how some humans treat people and to treat any animal this way is just so cruel. Hard to believe they're so healthy after living 10 to 15 years in atrocious and confined conditions. It's wonderful that they get to live, at least, their last years in much nicer conditions.
That ideal predators, dude! Look at your cat, or cat of neighborhood. They pretty good after 15 years of life, but cats live in wild nature 4 or 5 years.
@@shoroh70 Yeah, it was a bit clunky to understand, lol. I've heard that domesticated house cats in the US are the same, but left to roam outside only 2-5 years. It's really a shocking difference! People are keeping cats inside more now, thankfully, but there are still some that insist cats "enjoy" the outside more so they put them out. I had a male cat that stayed outdoors for about 8 years that I was sure would lose it if he had to come inside, but I brought him in and he became so relaxed and such a love-bug. He's almost 20 now and I can leave the door open, he will sit there looking out but he won't go out. They live very satisfying lives indoors.
The way they leaned on each other when they were released into the pen was so touching. I can only imagine the bond these two tigers share after going through everything they have with only each other.

You can, if you're young enough, learn about this kind of work and help save animals in the field. Though it's s demanding job, and you have to have, well depending on the job position, degrees and/or education in the biology of animals, then the technics to save them from certain dangers, how to respond and how not let your emotions get in the way of helping the animals. So I understand why you said "the world needs more people willing to do stuff like this" though I am willing, I'm not able to because of my age, too old, and I don't have the proper training. i remember hearing about this on the news a couple of months ago. i’m curious to know what caused the land owner to contact people now to help. they “took care” of them for 15 years. was it because the cost to take care of them became too much? did they finally realize that the tigers should be in a sanctuary instead? regardless thankful they are in a sanctuary now.
It could have been an inherited situation, changing ownership within the family. Or, in Argentina's economy simply was not bringing in enough money to feed these two, never mind profit. I don't necessarily blame them I'm just glad that there are proper sanctuaries with the proper donations which can afford to transfer these beautiful animals to Lions Rock!

To be fair, people did care though. The situation was inexcusable. But at least someone kept them safe and alive and fed and together for 15 long years, long enough for them to be rescued. We don’t know how long those caring for them while they were stuck in the train tried and tried to get them freed and were not able to until these angels came along. This big tiger who was trembling with fear was able to be reassured by his life companion! A touching moment! Circuses should no longer be allowed anywhere in the world! Live and let live!
A circus isn't just about animals. In times of the past, when animals were sold to a circus & exhibition, many were unknown in parts of the world but we live in different times now. If an animal begins to prey on human, we ought to figure out how to protect ourselves other than killing the predator...except for human predators...they are the more cunning & inventive...more dangerous than 4 legged creatures. Am thrilled to see these big cats are getting to live a good life. Circuses are also about abilities, too. Kinda like the Olympics where individuals show their skills but clowns making one laugh. Cotton Candy. A break in everyday routine. Then they pack up & move on in the dead of night. At one time, it was how 'freaks of nature' could earn a living by also being on display. IMO, that must have been so humiliating! I am thankful that we are maturing as a society & no longer need traveling troops to 'entertain' or inform or share song & dance.
@@kateburk2168 Sanctuaries are the right way to restore injured animals, victims of trafficking or cruelty! As for elephants chained and working like slaves for decades! @@rosebleicher6986 🥰🥰
the shots of them pressing their faces together are beyond extraordinary. they conveyed an emotion that transcends species, we all felt exactly what they did in that moment.
Not to mention they were only feed weekly or so.

They are intelligent creatures and deserve to be free.
Tigers are so beautiful and shouldn’t ever be used in a circus as entertainment and be treated terribly! That’s wrong. They were not created for the circus. This is beautiful!
People need to stop going to any circus than features animals.
4:23 Wow, when they touched faces like “we made it” … I have no words ❤️
Right?!?❤
Literally took the exact words out my mouth.. “we made it” 💙
i remember hearing about this on the news a couple of months ago. i’m curious to know what caused the land owner to contact people now to help. they “took care” of them for 15 years. was it because the cost to take care of them became too much? did they finally realize that the tigers should be in a sanctuary instead? regardless thankful they are in a sanctuary now.

Can you believe there were actually 4 tigers in the cage? They edited that as if there were only 2. Four Paws posted recent update of the tigers on their youtube page and all 4 look like they are thriving!

How incredibly horrible that these poor, beautiful ones were caged for 15 years and nobody cared. Why are people able to get away with this?? Thank you to everyone involved who cared enough to save them from their madness. This is more than heartbreaking
@@frenchstyle7038 peta is a lying sick scam group so dont expect them to do much lol
@@frenchstyle7038 you have no idea how horrible this world is
Humans being ENSLAVE billions of pets around the world for 'emotional-support', putting them in boxes(apts and homes, which is as UN-natural environment as possible). Cat's and dogs are NOT children...CHILDREN are children. But I get it: the responsibility of being an an actual engaging/responsible parent is infinitely harder than opening up a can of cat food/dog food.
-
And THEN we have the sanctimonious vegetarians/vegans, also who never properly bonded with another human being(such as mother/father, whom like the single-mother welfare case is the tragedy of America). The vegans then enslave ANIMALS to then feed them...slaughtered animals!! Save the planet?!?! Make as much sense as consuming 5000 calories a day and washing it down with a Diet-Coke.
-
Got an cat that goes outdoors? Domesticated cats are responsible worldwide for the decimation of forty(that's 40) percent of the world's bird population, because like psychopaths, they KILL for the sake of killing.
-
Wasn't that easy?
To be fair, people did care though. The situation was inexcusable. But at least someone kept them safe and alive and fed and together for 15 long years, long enough for them to be rescued. We don’t know how long those caring for them while they were stuck in the train tried and tried to get them freed and were not able to until these angels came along. Someone made the effort to get them there, they didn’t just learn of these tigers’ plight by osmosis and magically show up. The cats are still healthy and they can make a full recovery and enjoy the rest of their lives now. Because they did receive care even if it was not the best. They’re alive and their future looks amazing, they survived!❤️
@@michelled.6001 ,
Exactly! The farmer who cared for them was ignorant(not a putdown) and genuinely believed the circus people would return for the tigers. He cared for them the best he could, until he could no longer do so.
Just very happy the tigers made it to their 'furever' home! 🙏😇✨💫🌱🌿🌻🐝🌳🌎💖🙌😺
These people deserve a medal for doing this, first class human beings💚
And yet we have circuses that for some reason (I often read "human rights issues") that are allowed to torture animals for the sake of entertainment.
And the ones that put them in cages need to be locked up
With all the crazy things going on in the world, thankfully, there are still many good people..
It was heartbreaking to see that big, majestic tiger shivering out of fear
4:23 Love the headrubs, that say "no matter what, we are still in this together".
Thank goodness these tigers have been rescued. May they have the freedom to live their best lives now. 🐯🌳🌳🌳😊
Thank you good people for making it happen !!!
I applaud the person who fed them for 15 years after the circus abandoned them. And god bless these people for working to give them the freedom they deserve! This made my day. 😊
Why? He or she would've made money having their friends, family & neighbors coming to see the animals. How do you think they fed them? If there hadn't been a profit they would've left the animals to starve.
@@gingerbaker4579 But they didn't and that's the point. Reprehensible behaviour yes (if that's what happened) but it kept them fed at least. The big question is why did it take 15 years? Where was the Argentine government in all this?
@@robertmcnamara5407 That's the thing. Nobody said anything about the cats for 15 years because they were making money off of them not the circus. It's that simple.
It was not necessarily the government btw Four Paws is an international organization that happened to hear ... by sheer chance ... about these tigers. And they likely only heard of the tigers because of some tourists or better-educated Argentinians that locals brought to or by the circus cage & these "outsiders" said wtf.
@@gingerbaker4579 do you seriously not understand that the circus only abandoned them as they had no where else to go

This is incredibly heart breaking and heart warming at the same time. That a tiger does not know a tree, but immediately senses to sharpen his nails on it, just shows how much they suffered, being locked in a steel carraige, exposed, for all these years. They finally, look happy as they should have from the start. 👏👏👏💞
Breaks my heart to see these amazing creatures locked up in such a small space. We humans do not deserve any of them.
OMG this crushes me to see this. How can anyone do this? Dear God, how? These magical animals were never meant to be contained. Thank you for saving them you wonderful people.

3:30 - You can plainly see its joy here.
Another kind of circus that shouldn't exist anymore are the water parks where killer whales and dolphins put on a show! As if in nature they were training to do the same thing! It's ridiculous! We humans think we're the smartest, but that's completely wrong! Besides, we deliberately destroy our environment and have waged war for reasons of territory or religion. Animals don't do that!
