Three of my favorite people all in one place and the doggies too. Woof!. It doesn't get an better. No, wait! It does there are rocks too. Woo hoo. You loaded up today and Alexis found the best. I'm just sayin'. What fun and lots and lots of wonderful rocks. Keep the agatety goodness coming. Alexis give Rock Mom a hug. I think she needs one. Thanks for all the goodness. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
You all are having too much success!! The "Alexis Agate" is much like my husband's Japanese Float incident. Prized collectibles along the west coast they are not easy to find. Walking with friends, our little boy suddenly got sand in his eye. Helping him distracted Pat so instead our friend, Karen scooped up a float. He reminded her frequently that she was keeping his float for him!! It's exciting what awesome agates you found!!
“Beautiful” feels inadequate . My fav was the dark agate found at 10:39. I can hardly wait for the slabs. Thanks, also, for another Maker’s Challenge….so much fun. It’s sweet you get the dogs out, even as they age.
I don't know what I like best: the rocks and pet wood or the gorgeous landscapes. I always like your adventures on the Yellowstone. One day, I'd love to join you on one of them. Thanks for letting us go along with you and Alexis.
Dude..... dude.... Theo dude...... are you serious here. These are insane finds, what a beautiful day out there. Thanks for inspiring and sharing your passion and hard work....
Wow super spectacular finds. Can't wait to see when they are cut. The one agate with the big bubbly on top reminds me of a game show palm buzzer. LOL thanks for sharing this awesome hunt.
Wow lots of big chunks of wood! I’m still watching. This is a good one for sure! Been a while since I watched your channel or anyones except the podcast, just been so busy. Great day y’all had out there! So much “help” from the dogs lol. My dogs also like to “help” 😅
She comes with me every time, its just a matter of convincing her to hunt with me!🤣 usually she finds a nice spot to sit and she knits the whole time im hunting
@@TheoKellison lol. That sounds like my other half at times. I am glad that she goes with you at least…safer in numbers for sure cause you never know what or who you might come across.
I just watch the opening of the package you sent to wild Kyle. Not only were the things you sent him incredible but the talent that you have is off the charts! I'm now subscribed to you and I'll be watching many more of your videos. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Tried to go back & find the agate that looked like a Fried Egg.. Forgot the name & loved looking at it.. WOW ~ You found really nice & Unusual pieces.. Hooray.. Thanks for taking us along..
Great video Theo. I could not pick a favourite from those stunning agates. You are so lucky to have that river close enough to take Mrs Theo & the Dogs out there whenever you want.
Wow Theo! An awesome day! Loved those hunks of petrified wood, the Agates were amazing! The Montana agate with blue, and trifecta rock were beautiful! Alexis found some beauties, your pups were making me laugh out loud 😂oh my word they are so cute! I think the trifecta rock slabs would be fantastic to see! Enjoyed the podcast last night, very educational and fun! Looking forward to the makers challenge!
Love watching your channel. We find a lot of petrified wood and agates here in Oregon. The rivers have been too high to hunt. So nice to be able to hunt with you and get my fix. I plan on doing some filming when we go out. I will post it on you tube. Agates here are mostly white, orange and red. Thanks again.
Wow! What amazing finds! Giants galore! Im sitting on the edge of my seat, the whole time, like i was there with you! My favorite, by far, was huge trifecta rock! cant wait to see what is inside that. I also love the one with the huge bubble on it. It looks like a UFO, which is awesome, because it really is out of this world! That is definitely how you start a season! Oh, and i loved seeing all the doggies! They are precious! And Alexis!
Love all those rocks you found. Would love to come to Montana to rock hunt. Never find anything much bigger than fist sized rocks were I live in Oregon. Occasionally do find one of size, but not often. Only fossils that I have found are rabbit, deer and antelope coprolites. Nephew got me watching your videos, now enjoy them a lot. You have such great knowledge of the rock types in your area. Stay safe and enjoy the hunt.
I sure love the strange mix ones and those were my favorites to find was things like pet wood with chalcedony druzy and stuff on it! Love it. Great video! 🤘
Sweet haul! Pet wood is always my favorite, just seeing a formerly living thing turned to stone is so amazing! Has anyone figured the ancient source for all the goodies you find there in Eastern Montana, and are there any good places near the Big Horns and Westward? Something else I don't think I have ever seen, is a piece of pet wood cut and polished six sides, like a small scale piece of fine lumber.
Wow I really wish I could join you for a hunt along the Yellowstone! I really love the blue agate Alexis found as well as the one with the giant bubbly on it!
Not over in that area😄 we definitely have lots of bears un montana but they are all in fairly alpine areas or high up in the mountains, the bigger risk on the river is actually rattlesnakes but they tend to stick to the cliffs so usually dont have anything to worry about😄
The clouds may have been a hindrance but spectacular nonetheless. I love that big clear agate with the moss, but it would be hard to choose. That first big chunk of wood looked like a nice crusty loaf of sourdough before you got it wet, or maybe I'm just hungry 😋
So, you know how during the podcast last night we were joking about needing a vibratory tumbler big enough for stuff like that trifecta rock? I figured out how to build one. Cheap (relatively). You're going to need an old washing machine that the spin cycle setting still works on, some leaf springs from a little garden trailer or something, ballast and some old tires plus a couple of other little odds and ends. All stuff you can get at a local junkyard. Probably going to need a concrete slab to bolt it down to as well. It can be done.
Hey Theo , that really was a great hunt. And some amazing dark agates , I'm looking forward to the slabbing on those ones . The makers challenge should be pretty amazing . Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. See you on the next one . Cheers
How do you top a hunt like that!? I can't wait for the slabbin' to begin! I want to see the inside of that possible iris for sure. What a great day in God's country. Thanks guys!
I find moss agate and small to medium petrified wood out in the middle of the New Mexico desert. Wish I was near water like that river! We have one but is is a trickle.
Hey Theo! I do a lot of picking along the Gila River and have a hard time telling if I have sandstone, petrified wood or quartzite. Any advice to help distinguish them?
I really thought that mamillary at about 8:12 was really cool, but you didn't keep it. Is it not worth messing with, like nothing going on in the inside? Just curious.
Hey Theo Macen here I would absolutely love to meet you sometime and go rock hounding I live in Shepherd and go hounding a lot of you're ever interested msg me !! Love your videos !!

"I found that!" Love it! I also like when a dog's nose appears instead of the rock you're trying to show us! Fun times on the river! 😃

Awesome hunt! Nothing like bringing home a few choice boulders for some serious cutting!!!💎Rock On!!
Definitely on the bucket list to be rockhounding the Yellowstone river-just one of those amazing rocks you find would be enough for me!
I don't know what I like best: the rocks and pet wood or the gorgeous landscapes. I always like your adventures on the Yellowstone. One day, I'd love to join you on one of them.
Thanks for letting us go along with you and Alexis.
Can't wait to see the cuts of those big rocks 😉. Maker's challenge is going to be crazy.

You have some of the most productive days on the river. It’s hard not to jealous of the sheer volume you find. Very good video thanks Theo.😎
Great video Theo. I could not pick a favourite from those stunning agates. You are so lucky to have that river close enough to take Mrs Theo & the Dogs out there whenever you want.
Puppies are so exited to be out. Some nice finds again. Those huge ones worth the effort to pack out.

The very first pet wood you showed close up & the one at 19:41 were my favorites! It was fun seeing your interactions with Alexis too 😁

Nice day... envy is a thing.
Really big chunky rocks today. I'm channeling my inner Katy Did lol. Let's get to slabbing. I know Montana Rock Mom and Drogon are ready!
Beautiful rocks. I do love the spider. I have a lot but I call them all Sweety 😆
That was a great adventure

Wow I really wish I could join you for a hunt along the Yellowstone! I really love the blue agate Alexis found as well as the one with the giant bubbly on it!
Yeah just one of those gigantic agates would be my lifetime find. I've never even seen such a specimen in real life. Maybe some day.
Oh wow! So many great finds! On my bucket list to go there! Do you have to worry about bears there?
Not over in that area😄 we definitely have lots of bears un montana but they are all in fairly alpine areas or high up in the mountains, the bigger risk on the river is actually rattlesnakes but they tend to stick to the cliffs so usually dont have anything to worry about😄
@@TheoKellison thanks! Good to know!
I think you’re going to need a bigger backpack you keep on at this rate. i sure hope you find the rainbow in some of those!
The clouds may have been a hindrance but spectacular nonetheless. I love that big clear agate with the moss, but it would be hard to choose. That first big chunk of wood looked like a nice crusty loaf of sourdough before you got it wet, or maybe I'm just hungry 😋
