It's a big blue flatbed...if the police can't find it they need to all be fired. Seriously, how hard can this be?
Exactlyyyyy they take their time to find this and when it's police offficers in trouble in 1 day they solve this
The police found the guy and got arrested
Now it probably a big orange flatbed.
no money in it for the city nothing will happen. The city actually makes money with the owners having to take the crooks to court
Spary paint is a real thing
So is a garage
A tow truck tried to steal my 1970's Ford Surfer van. I just happened to be sleeping in it at the time and leaped out of bed at went at him with a hammer.
Did you nail him??

ya right. try to report a tow company illegally towing cars and the cops WILL LAUGH AT YOU! tow companies can steal any car they choose and the cops will only say - "you must've done something wrong." cops will always - ALWAYS - side with the corporate thieves over their victims. isn't capitalism great?
Nothing shadier than tow truck companies

The police know who he is because he probably works for them doing impound towing.
Yes. It's absolutely correct. Every city is the same. They are doing something under the table that some people don't even know about it.
Everyone can tell who it is from the video. It's C&J Towing lol
and he makes a few bucks on the side, so what

Chief's nephew.
A towing company where I live in western mass stole my car back in 2000, I went to the police station to report it stolen and the desk clerk told me to go to the towing company and tell the owner if they don't give me my car the police are going to arrest him. He quickly gave my car back. these fools crooked as hell. 😂
Why didn’t the police do it instead putting you in danger?? Not knowing how the other person would react.
@@czechmate6916 I didn't and still don't know why they didn't do it. I was only concerned about getting my vehicle back at that time.

These crooked tow companies have been doing this crap for many years. I caught a tow truck driver trying to steal my legally parked car in broad daylight in the central west end several years ago. Thankfully, a friend alerted me to what was going on. When I confronted the driver, he claimed the car was being repossessed, despite the fact the car had been paid off for years and I had a clean title on it. Long story short, he didnt get my car, and ultimately backed off after I made it clear I wasnt backing down. You have to watch your vehicles in St Louis, the tow companies will steal your cars!
Tow truck driver is keeping the stereotypes alive
That tow truck drivers are stupid? Really though, this type of looting was learned from the colonizers. They have literally looted the whole world. This is small potatoes
A1 Towing in Toronto has drivers that steal cars, one of their employees offered to steal any car we wanted for $1000. Said he stole one every week usually from the edges of Walmart parking lots and covered his Co logo and # w a blank magnet to hide his truck because there were dozens of them on the road and no proof it was him.
Hey I'm in Toronto too.
They do this stuff in Ottawa too

Sue and take their trucks.
And vote the ruling party out.
People in the city of St Louis are too dumb and uneducated to ever not vote democrat. They are sheep.
Suing does not get you, their trucks. Not sure what world you think you live in.
Separate issues there. Sue them, yes. You may win. That might force them to sell their trucks. But they might be leased trucks, in which case you should hope they have deep pockets.
Not sure what this has to do with any political party. This guy appears to be a thief, not a government employee.
@@TheRealScooterGuy The political party is the more corrupt party and their policies encourage criminals.
You should be sure.
did you even watch the video you idiot ? they dont even know what company it is, the news channel tried to figure that out but couldn't. and suing doesn't magically make their property yours. take your idiot ideas and political statements elsewhere.

An arrest was made, Bryant Wendell. Charge with three counts of auto theft.
I wonder if these were the first three times he ever did something like this.
Look at his color. A life of crime.
My friend had a Chevette that was stolen by a tow truck driver. He thanked the driver.
1 time as i got towed i over heard the tow truck driver basically talking about stealing cars to his boss / coworker over the radio
She should have taken a picture of his drivers license and the license plate on his truck.
tow truck drivers can not legaly touch a car/truck without offical paperwork or or by police request
Unless the county gives him permission.....
Or property owners request illegally parked cars off their premises
you are ST💯%PID..they are thieves ..they STEAL ..no permission is required or asked for.
Some red cab GMC wrecker driver attempted to steal my van three weeks ago, same story...legally parked, valid plates and insurance and fully functional, paid it off several years ago. I saw him backing up and lowering the cradle in front of my van on my security camera. Wife and I ran outside to confront them and they simply drove away. Sadly we did not get a good look at the markings on the door or the driver. This was on the Illinois side of the river. There was a 314 area code on the door. Predatory wrecker almost took my van. I didnt make a police report since we had so little information and we did not realize how common this grand theft auto is these days. BEWARE. My RING doorbell admins would not allow me to warn my neighbors about this event, said it did not meet their "community standards". Yeah not very happy with RING. Useless unless you find a cat or a dog but cannot mention attempted auto theft. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk!
Wow RING is ridiculous!
Towing companies get into shady deals with local businesses (Police departments included) and it becomes a “quiet theft” ring that extorts money from vehicle owners.
Conspiracy loser.
Because some car and motorcycle owners can’t read the posted signs or pay their bills.
What are you talking about these cars were parked legally at there house, he is speaking the truth tow trucks company are shady@@timothya.olmeda7299
Years back I questioned what stops a car thief from just buying an old tow truck and then stealing cars? Most people wouldn’t look twice at a tow truck taking a car.
Slap a quick non-descript paint job on the tow truck, add a magnetic company label (of a completely fictional company), and your set.
Instant chop shop!
Justin we are living in the last days the closer I get to my 50s the more I see and believe it
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

He likely works for the stlpd.
Any tow truck company that has a contract with any city state county should have a contract and said contract should be put on file with the BBB
It's somehow not stealing if it's from a tow company
LORD HAVE MERCY.
Older model cars dont have all the fancy tracking that some newer cars have. This allows them time to cut off the cat converter and shread the rest for scrap $$.
Exactly, that is why they wanted my van, it is a 08 and it actually has three vintage catalytic converters, the valuable kind. Then they scrap the rest of the vehicle. No title needed in illinois at a salvage yard.
They also love the expensive wheels
Most tow truck drivers have criminal history/active arrest warrants
The type of truck that he's using is not conducive to snatching a vehicle and getting away with it in minutes. The wheel lift type truck is a lot more efficient at doing things like that and I'm surprised that he's doing this on the streets in broad daylight. There are so many vehicles at a mall especially at night that a person like that could go in there and grab anything they wanted with almost no resistance because the people who own some of those vehicles are working in the mall and until the mall closes they won't even be outside. Every kind of thief that you can think of exist in this country including ones just like this.
Thieves use what they have and don't always have the luxury of picking the best tool for the job. I wonder if he even owns the truck?
Well if he watches the news he knows now to paint the tow truck a different color
IMAGINE how many other cars he stole that were not on this street alone.
A tow operator can just pull up to virtually any vehicle and take it, no questions asked. So, they do just that.
Should have called PD in the first place, then they have time to get there, they are not always right around the corner
Just one of a thousand different reasons why you should never enter the city, for any reason, whatsoever. ask me how I know.

Probably on county tow list of who cops can call to tow if they can't track a truck that big something is up
They take them because they aren’t being used, so they must be free for the taking? That guy probably has so many things he DIDN’T EARN
Wow, I’ve been seeing this crime all over the place
There one in San Francisco, Ca called Specialty Towing, tow while you are inside the car at the stoplight. They are stealing and kidnapping at the same time.
I thought America you have guns to protect your property, If some body is stealing your stuff...do have to ask him that what are you doing with my car? or you have to use that small toy???
Well, the concept is that the criminal would fear stealing your stuff because he knows you may be armed. But that doesn't really work as a deterrent when your car is parked on a public road like in a city. Driving up a rural driveway and trying to steal a vehicle is a different story because the criminal could be shot at or attacked by guard dogs. It wouldn't be legal to just shoot him unless your life was in danger on a public street. In some places you can open carry on your hip, so you could at least make it known you are armed if you confront him. But if you are on your own private land and your vehicle is on private land, in some places you can enforce no trespassing on your property with your firearm, like if a guy is breaking into your garage and you hold him at gunpoint and call the police, they would probably thank you. In other places though like big cities, chicago, NY, LA etc, they would rather you just let them steal your stuff.
It is called repo even Tesla does it the car drives itself back to the dealership if you miss one payment
Doesn't appear to be authorized repo tows.
Dumbest comment ever 😂😂😂
Getting repo after one payment is extremely rare, it's just not worth for the company. I've never even heard of it. Usually takes 2 or 3 at least before they bother with it.
That Pontiac isn’t worth stealing. I can’t imagine someone trying to steal that piece of junk.
Sadly, there's no Dutch there anymore..
Microsoft Office paper clip: "Hey, you seem to be taking cars off the road"
Why weren't the cops investigating near the street? Two reports to police and nobody visited the area?
So that's where MC Hammers pants went to 🤣
The police know who he is, but so far, he hasn't been seen in any of the city's doughnut shops. They are, however, patiently staking them out in anticipation of his arrival.😂

This is why even legitimate towing companies get a bad rap.
Thank God for cameras
Thank God for Nosey Neighbors❤
My car was stolen this way. No broken glass, I had both keys, it just disappeared
This is happening nationwide
San Antonio politicians protect them.
These people are so brazen these days. I just watched a video earlier of a tow truck driver in San Francisco trying to tow a car that was in traffic with the occupants still in it. The tow truck driver was backing up to take the car. The car wasn’t stalled or anything. And then, when the driver of the car managed to get around the tow truck, the tow truck driver actually chased them, but they were able to lose him. Fortunately, for them, someone on the sidewalk was recording the whole incident and the name of the towing company.
It sounds like these are not legitimate towing companies, but car theft rings who have upped the ante using tow trucks to blatantly, steal cars.
How hard is it to track them down? Can you not find C&J towing company? Now, you need to find the chop shop.
These truck drivers are crazy
Justin we miss you in SF Bay Area !
😢 it's hard enough out here , then this guy
Why the f-ck would she tell him she's calling the police if she wants him caught? Why not call the police while he's in the act so they can roll up in him while he's committing the crime? 😒🙄
i’m surprised i haven’t heard of something like this happening before
Lazy reporting. How hard is it to find where this company is based and where their depot is located?
I wonder if there were any HOA's and "Karen's" involved.
im a little surprised no one has brought stuff like this up before, back in the 80s we had a big time car thief that was a wrecker driver, he had one of those newer style hydraulic scissor rams plus his boom, he could steal 2 to 3 vehicles a night without breaking a sweat. this was in san antonio tx, i won't say his name even though he's passed but it might still matter, he had the same name of one of the most famous country singers of all time, im sure lots of old car guys here will know exactly what im talking about.
Times are tough
Hey, what’s the problem, I do this all the time in GTA 😂😂
