I'm not wasting to much on defense.....I'm the opposite man...
Average golem, lava player
I really hope you mean golem/lava cause golem and lava is terrifying in the right hands
I'm arena 18 I play lava hound
Same
Arena 24 9000 trophies defensive golem deck player 😊
"being patient will give you an edge in the battle" bro i'm edging right now
Aw hell nah 💀
😏
💀
Same 🌚
Bro playing against archer queen and valkyrie
The first tip is so important. Its better to let a bit of damage go if it means not losing a tower because you have no elixir
dont take it too far either theres been a handful of times where im like "ehh this push is okay ill save my elixir" and then my entire tower goes down
@@jtfunny8394hshsh
Exactly, your towers hp is as much of a resource as elixir is
@@connorh2215people sleep on this, that goes for anygame tbh HP is a resource
Like Guilty Gear : Strive, I used to always tell everyone HP is a resource, especially for Potemkin, High Hp which can be converted into meter for specials.
Most of the time i over defend just to make counter attack
Top mistake is that you're not using your credit card
😂😂😂
I smell skill issues👃🏼
As a beat down player I admit that I let a raged balloon destroy my tower for a slight elixir trade
bro uses a 0 damage spell against spear goblins
💀
@manontheroof4500 I don't think there's a 0 damage spell in the game right now. If your talking about rage it does drop damage
@@Fitzcrackers4prez i meant clone
@@manontheroof4500 I forgot about that
As a golem battle heiler player i admit that i ignore a push from my oponnent if i see it wont 3 crown me and just take the oponnents king
The most annoying thing is playing against someone where I can counter everything, but my starting hand was trash and they got tons of free damage or my cycle is near permanently jacked. But then double elixir comes and I can cycle better and I flip it
there should be a possibility like, before a match starts you have 10 seconds to do 2 re-rolls on your starting hand
Sometimes the only Advantage you might have is your opening hand
So true, i hate when my opponent has a goblin barrel in their starting hand i don't have one of my spells and they get a free 1000+ damage
Ppl need to hear that 3rd tip more. Aggression works well in early arenas because no one knows how to defend. But when you get higher up chances are they will just defend and now you have a 15 elixer counterpush coming your way
Thats why i love hog cycle as a beginner deck. It instills the concepts of defence, and measured offense
good thing you caught yourself and said beginners deck
I throw early chip like that if I either need to cycle back to a support or find another better win con. I like throwing goblin spears and armies at the bridge to bait out log/zap for things like wall breakers, gob barrel and skelly barrel
The last tip doesn't work when they have level 14 cards and you have level 11 cards
You’d be surprised
i can relate one time my opponent's MK lvl 15 in arena11 and i used my lvl 11 pekka to counter and it BARELY worked though i won the game and taught the dumbass that the credit card has been recently nerfed
Well of course, no one said the game makes fair matches
11? did you start today?
@@jvr6809 what? Bros been dumping daddy’s credit card money into the game smh
I’m new to path of legends (currently sitting at master 1) and I’ve noticed so many people do some stupid push like ice golem hog rider, just for me to steamroll them after I defend and make a huge counter push. The worst part is this happens way too much and I have no idea how some people make it as far up on ladder as they do
I saw a guy that tried to defend my goblin barrel with a damn BALLOON 😭 ARENA 17
That's simply because it's not hard to get there. Usually, you start getting good opponents at leagues 8 and 9 and even there you will also still see rather bad players. Reaching Ultimate Champion is the first point where most of your opponents are better than usual.
@Starlight_583 Yea fair. I'm mostly a casual player though so I'm not the type to sweat my way to grand champion. I just like to chill and play the game
Until that cannon, skeletons, ice golem, with musketeer just in case completely defends your push.
@MrsAhrim Yea I feel like my opponents sometimes just pull elixir out of nowhere but it's probably a universal feeling
The worst part is the midladder menace fucking up your tower with lumberloon first play because you didn't have you building as your starter. They should at a thing where you always start with your building in hand.
I’ve noticed if I load in really quickly I can drop a fast card and it’ll reach the tower before my opponent has loaded in and i get free damage.
I'm amazed at how many people i see chilling at 10 elixir... Getting an elixir deficit on your opponent is how you win
As a miner control player, the first tip is criminal.
Hot Take: The Little Prince should be 4 elixir and make the ability 2 elixir, if everbody has it in midladder, this would lower its usage rate a bit
if his stats remain the same it could be actually a nice thing but people would still scream now what the ability costs 2 elixir OP like people only want i to die to a fireball which is totally stupid cause this would kill the card cause it wouldn’t get like any defenses cause it would be fireballed instantly and it would be only viable in fireball bait
Never cook again 🙏🙏
I've been sayin this same ish bruh. It would definitely be a fine balance, but not breaking.
That is so stupid, just make it die to the fireball
It would still be used in mid ladder, it's a free champion, champs r good bc 3 card cycle
An easier way to see what card is in your opponent's cycle is to accociate your hard counter to another card so you know they have it in cycle when the associated card is on the field
I just cant memorise decks.
My brain has incredibly terrible short term memory, i forget things within about 5 seconds and will only remember them days or months later.
Though once i do remember i tend to remember it indefinitely.
Just learn the meta decks and you'll be fine. Because 90% of people play them.
@@dr.trojan1492
I have learned the meta decks, its how i got as good as i did, but my memory issues mean i’ll never be the best
As person whos living in upper mid ladder for about 5y I can confirm that I can't take it anymore
Yeah I agree with you. I started playing clash royale since 4 months ago. And even I myself make such mistakes but I can't just improve them quickly. These are the things which can only be learned through experience. No video clip or tutorial can teach them or atleast I personally never found such content.
Agreed, that's the case. Everyone will notice themselves getting better over time. You can know these tips shown here but it still doesn't mean that you will know how to you use them perfectly. For example you can know to not play aggressive but only over time you will learn which plays are too aggressive and which are actually good.
The last one is so relatable on both sides of the spectrum, sometimes I'm too scared to attack with just miner when the match starts, but then you have me throwing miner + rocket at the tower when it's x3 elixir.
As a beatdown player, i see the first tip as an absolute win
4. Leaking Elixir
5. Tilting
Fulltilt is actually speaking facts. I try and tell all my early game friends this, but also I have to tell them that they need spells and to rely on other spells that are not freeze and rage so they can actually get better at the game
The 1st two are the reason why I sucked at the game and was stuck in mid ladder, I saw a video about every health point counting and took that to heart, constantly overdefending and losing because of that.
Bro I came to relax and play clash Royale not having to count and subtract elixir like it’s math class
This is funny cause i wanted to mess around so last season i pushed all the way to top 3.8k ladder by doing exactly what you said i was using lj loon freeze and going balloon lumberjack first play every time i had both in hand starting off
Its nuts how a simple lumberloon first play of the game could just mean an instant tower if your opponent has a bad starting hand
Sure but at the same time it can also lose you the game or put you at a disadvantage if your opponent has a good response to it. You're really just gambling with such a play.
Rule 1: spend as little as possible on defense
Rule 2: spend as little as possible on offense
Rule 3: have telekinesis
Hot take: Evo-E-barbs could realistically be in clash royal in the next few updates. It's one of the last common troops to not have an evolution.
Also playing when you're tilted
First play of the game should be emoting Good luck and then dropping your win condition at bridge, their reaction time will be slower because they'll be busy emoting back
LOL
Me: Use two or more damage types when comboing cards. Example: play a tank and an area damage troop. If needed, play the ranged troops if you have any.
As a golem player, what is defending?
I normally try and do somthing aggressive first play to see if they don’t have the right cards (tank bats kinda push)
Hey tilt I had a new idea for a card, it’s kind of long to explain but this is basically what it is:
A 4 Elixir champion that when deployed carries a staff and over time speeds up (like the evo recruits) it has 3 stages of speed that increase from spawn like every 5 to 6 seconds, its ability would be to spin like a Valkyrie but have a tornado to pull things into its spin attack, the ability would probably be 2 Elixir maybe 3 depending on how broken it is, hope you like the idea, the champion would be called like the defender or the paladin or some crap idk
it's too broken like it pairs too well with e giant and since the speed increases u can just deploy it behind king tower and deploy e giant at the bridge and that will push it plus u only need two elixir for a tornado and after that the troop itself will DPS down the units which were pulled in
also the ability will make spells like fireball, poison, royal delivery too effective
so u won't even be able to place down troops just because of the damn card it would have to be like little prince HP for it to work
yo you should make video on card counting and tips it’s a goal i try to work on but always forget in the heat of the moment
I disagree with the last one while being patient is the better strategy but sometimes being aggressive in the first play is advantageous because you can deal a lot of damage before your opponent can organise their cycle but never over commit
Learn to know how much exiler your opponent has and learn to counter plus a attack combo
meanwhile me doing calculations to see just how much damage i can get away with on my tower while i counterpush on the opposite side knowing they have no elixir, causing mass amounts of chaos and destruction on both sides:
oh yeah i dont have to worry about the over defending issue :D
I don’t mind being a patient player, but 30 seconds into a game and neither of us played anything then I start to get bored
idk i have a dual lane gamble i LOVE to do, when my deck is right.
it costs like 8 elix but if flushes out their defense cards. if unchecked i think it can do like half a tower.... idk Im still using it to get a feel of it. but the deck does great both at MAX (14) level and League (11) level.
it only works cuz its a cycle deck with 2 mini tanks. like one match was 0 damage taken, and i personally use *ZERO* damaging spells.
Memorize your counters. A skeleton army will counter a half health Valkyrie or full health bowler, executioner, Mega knight, wizard and many other cards if placed correctly for example
As someone who uses lumberloon on top ladder, yeah first play lumberloon is kinda bad but I have fun doing it.
I have beat a few random Golem decks i find by just ignoring the golem and going straight for the other lane.
Then again i have Mini Pekka and Lumberjack on deck so your results may vary
is it worth it to leak elixir at the beginning of the game if they also don’t play a card or should i continue placing a slower moving card at the back of king tower?
I use mega knight but its to much elixir to use offensively when i can just use wall breakers and force out a counter or get more damage
I remember playing against a miner wb player during the 20 win challenge.
needless to say, I was getting clapped during the entire battle because I was too defensive until 3x elixir hit when I decided to just fuck it and start bridge spamming recruits over and over, and I won
You gotta also remember that elixir not being used is elixir wasted. Patience is important, but you can't be too patient.
Playing aggressive 1st play it’s bad but it work sometime. Especially when ur opponent have bad starting hand. Happen to me all the time :/
I’m a very patient lumber loon player most of the time but my deck is not a traditional lumber loon: teer, skarmy, e wiz arrows valk and bats
Especially when over defending players empty their elixir bar just for a balloon
Man im up in the silent sanctuary and im still dropping lumberloon on the bridge with a sparky and megaknight in rotation im too lazy to come up with a new deck
Biggest problem i normally run into is not being max lv so I have people higher lv win not bc they were better but bc they had 100 more hps on their tower due to them having 200-400 more tower health.
I've noticed most people being a little too defensive to the point you can just one shot a tower with them fumbling😂
i hate patient players they just make me wait 1 minute for them to do something then i do a massive push and they have left the match long ago
I loving defending a push then countering a push.
My issue is that I then waste all my elixir into 1 push
If i waste too much on defense, i go attack the other side. Cuz if theyre gonna protect my push, no elixir for other lane
Over defending is good cuz you will have a huge attack when your opponent doesn't have lots of elixir cuz they attacked you with a lot of it
I always wait for my opponent to make the first move so i can counter amd push with miner/wall breakers while they have no elixir
I've had literal matches where it went into overtime because neither of us would play a card so at the last second i just fireball their tower so i win by default
Knowing opponents cycle is not as important as people make it out to be. It’s helpful to know about important cards like their win condition or counters to your win condition but you don’t have to keep track of every single card
You have to know where your opponent is in their cycle to do this. You can’t just skip a couple of cards in your mind and magically know where they are at.
Well ofc you never keep track of every single card. But you can't make good plays without knowing what you are playing into
I feel like another important one is balancing not leaking elixir, which just giving your opponent more time to fill their bar, and saving counters in your hand
The only exception is the beginning of the game where depending on your deck, hand and match-up, waiting can be better. Admittively this is very advanced and situational tho.
@@Maurice651 I mean at that time the opponent is leaking too so
Not arguing just pointing something out
My rule is 5 seconds. If they don't play in 5 seconds, I play wall breakers
i can comfirm i drop MK, mirror it, put a hunter and then balloon first play on the bridge
Wasting elixir is physically painful for me so I have to place something
Usually a knight or executioner at the back
I already have to learn how to properly counter 109ish cards properly, now i have to count cycles? And elixir? How do even practice that skill
Im 8400 trophies right now, and ive only ever used 1 deck throughout the years, knight, archers, arrows, hog, skarmy, magiarcher, musketeer, and minions
Usually it ain’t a valk shot
It’s an overleveled mega knight jump that usually loses me the game
Very helpful Tysm make more of these vids❤
People don't elixir count. Aka your trade value which tells u how much elixir they have. Which can determine if u should push or wait to see what they play.
The key to win in this game is to upgrade your cards to the highest
I try to play pertinently but i do over defend if i would blame anything on me losing it would be over defending
As a arena 10 player I would like to say how we joined the dark side what I mean by that is the fact that I have seen evo firecrackers before and evo barbs evo knight even evo Royal giants the sad thing is I ran into a player that spams witch the bridge and only uses wizard/pekka defense not to mention that my deck is hog prince goblin gang bats ice spirit valkrie mini pekka and witch and the strat is to spam and when the enemy fights back I spam too that’s the truth behind clash royale
I once played a game at like 7000 trophies and because we were both playing Patient no play a card until 2x elixir.
I just had match at 7000+ where I did everything wrong and still won. Everything in both players decks was about level 14 with my Zap and valkyrie being level 15. I started with hogrider and royal giant at the bridge. Instant tower. Had no clue The opponent had a pekka or e barbs until the last minute and almost got cooked. Played voer aggressive but still Won while only giving up a tower
Royal giant and hog in same deck 💀
As a hog eq player with only firecracker and bomb tower for air defense, i hate these lumber loon players with a passion
Question: i am hearin alot that if ther is a champion it is a 3 card cycle. But why a 3 card cycle? Why just not a 4 card cycle like usual
If I have golem at the beginning, im always going golem first play because I know what I'm doing and all my cards synergize
2.6 here. I used to lack patience ever since 2016. Just few months back i let my self do nothing and started winning. Im in Ultimate champion 2k
Card Idea: Ninja

Firecracker

Ramrider
Hunter
Im a golem beatdown player, and this video is key to my wins. Ill let the opponent smack me to oblivion if it means i can build my unstoppable push and defend it. The towers are not everything, if the king is still standing, im still in the game
I never really see swarm decks using skarmy, goblin hut, and tombstone or whatever its called. Can you not just overwhelm your enemy, using a giant to tank dmg?
Most decks usually have good responses to swarms and so that's rather inconsistent. What do you do with swarm if your opponent has double small spell? Or what do you do with spawners if your opponent has poison or earthquake?
@@MarvelSnap_Enjoyer use a different swarm card? If its poison, use a building outside of the spell, if its earthquake use skarmy or goblins? Theres a reason i dont play that p2w game anymore
Third is over-defensive, first is over-aggressive…
As a hog rider player, I can confidently say I start every gamr with a hog or bandit at the bridge
I have a level 14 pekka in arena 7 i place at bridge opponent over defends i send push other lane and win
I know how to counter lumberloon with my eyes close at this point, I find like tons of this type Soo often.
Hot take:
Wall breakers are op. They are only 2 elixir and do rocket level damage for each one. They are also extremely fast and almost always impossible to counter for a positive elixir trade especially when they are split lane.
Not a hot take because your opponent has to cycle through it, and any ranged unit that you were gonna play anyways will counter it and get its cost reduced. Furthermore, wall breakers never really add to a push because log is in like half of the decks, and a building will easily tank it
Spear goblins can counter it, well placed bats can counter it
The second tip is useless. Like for example, I’ll be playing barbarians, and then the opponent plays a wizard. So I play barbarians, and then they just play executioner, or somehow already have wizard back in their hand ten seconds later without mirror or a cycle deck. Literally what do you want from me. Even when I do things right, my opponent will randomly pull a firecracker out of nowhere that they haven’t played all game. In sudden death. No matter what I do, the opponent always has a counter to barbs in hand, basically invalidating everything. I genuinely don’t get it this deck got me to 6000 trophies effortlessly and now it’s actually just pathetic.
I agree with these tips but what if ur opponent has a hard counter forcing u to overspend to not lose a tower but then ur damn elixir bar runs dry while ur opponent continues to pull elixir from his ass to destroy u?
I’m cursing through mid ladder rn and the amount of ppl that solve every problem with a pekka, Mk, or firecracker is insane. They’re so bad😭😭
Not buying pass is the biggest Mistake 😅
Hey Fulltilt can you do a video on how to count cylce easily, I would really appreciate that and it would help a lot of us a ton thanks!❤
The worst you can do is to play the game
I used 2 play and was stuck in midladder but learning 2 defend fucking works
As a 3 crown golem beatdown main I agree on too much defending in fact I don't defend
Going to arena 8 in a few days and I'm still badly making mistakes.
Saying it's a mistake to lose track of the opponents card cycle is kinda like saying it's a mistake to get brutally punched in a face lol.
Guys im stuck at arena 13 now , whats a good tip and the best deck for it ?
I’m top ladder like top 5K and I still can’t figure peoples cards out like it’s so hard with my memory.
I mastered knowing what cards my opponent has in their hand and I did not even realize until this video😂
Umm I drop lumberloon when my opponent plays a 4 elixir card in the back.
It's 1st play but not a bad one
