I've dyslexia had a week long test when I was 9 years old in 1985 my perants couldn't understand why I was getting so frustrated at school and going crazy because I couldn't understand letters or words..yet problem solving top of the class art top of the class . PE top of the Rope always first 😅.. once my parents understood why frustration in letters an words mum my spent every night teaching me how to solve the understanding of reading an writing ✍️... we can't all learn from one way of teaching... ADHD is a disability that requires medication to treat. ADHD is constantly daydreaming that you can’t stop when you need to do other important things. This causes you to make careless mistakes everywhere or forget to do really important things. This will cause your life to fall apart. There will also be no motivation and feeling lethargic most of the day. Theres also bursts of hyperactivity picture grown man shadow boxing or break dancing randomly through the day. You will normally speak without a filter as filters take concentration. This very often leads to offending people. Theres depression from constantly failing at everything . The medication can work wonders and provide an almost normal life….

@@The_Ordinary_Bloke this is the problem people down playing a disability and making it seem like everybody has it to some extent. Or worse when people say it’s a gift. The way ADHD is diagnosed is there has to be evidence the symptoms are there and it has severely impacted two areas of your life ie you failed everything at school and your school reports say you were daydreaming constantly or you are 30 years old and have never been able to hold down a job, relationship, or friendship.

Didn't want to like this, drug running etc, but wow, this rings some bells.
Didn't have the test when we were back in school, I was a "Disruptive influence", always looking out the window, Oh, a squirrel, literally. Spelling is a nightmare, I's and E's the wrong way around, never know when there should be a 2 letters the same. I took ages to get the B and D's the right way around. Can over think to a point where I can't make progress, and never happy with a job I've done. Need routine, don't know what I should or shouldn't say, etc. And report cards like "If he just applied himself, he could do so much" etc. I also write in capitals, can't do joined up.
Really enjoyed this, Elliot is a very likeable guy.

I know it was a few years back, but earning just £500 to get a flight to spain, stay a night or two, then fly back, and risk a considerable prison sentence, is stupid. You could earn nearly that, in them days, working on a building site laying bricks, in the same amount of time it took to do the run. It is madness.

I feel like social media has created a form of adhd in people, our attention spans are non existent, things like youtube shorts and tik tok, instant gratification, which bleeds into everyday life, someone telling a story taking to long to get to the point, your mind starts to wonder, talking over people because something popped in your head, spending more time looking for a film on netfix then watching one, having ten tabs open on chrome, plus netflix on pause, whilst looking at your phone. 😂😂

In the 90s, Hash was treated like smack is today. People caught with a blim then would get stung. I remember maybe 89/90 my mum used to sell a few bits to her friends, etc, when I was around 7 ish. Nothing crazy, just friends buying teenths and 8ths at most really to cover her smoke and add to the kitty. The old bill raided the house, and looking back, now you'd think they were going after terrorists or something the way they came in. 4 vans, cars, and riot gear, and anyone that moved got coshed. They found a set of pans and some crumbs in them, and in the velvet case was a tiny little blim and that was enough to tug everyone that was at the house which was my mum and a couple of her friends. I went to my grandparents up the road. You'd think they were going after some huge gang if you compared it to now. It's insane how the police's attitude to Hash in the 80s and 90s has changed. I do miss the flat press and squidgy black.

Loved the interview. Just think this dude is doing what you hinted at dodge. Ya know, he just assumed you must have some mental health condition, or that your personal success is probably relates to an undiagnosed condition you might have. How about, some people ain't got anything, and they just get on. I've been diagnosed with stuff but sometimes I just think, maybe I'm just a bit of a cunt. I struggle with different personality types being a "condition". Know what I mean? Imagine, 200 years ago. A bloke in a village who was hyper, talked fast, got a lot done quickly etc etc. Those qualities in that person at that time would've been spoken of in a positive light. That's their skill. Don't get me wrong, since conditions do have a negative effect on people's lives and they need medicating. And then there's the veneer of modernity. Do we really live in the healthiest conditions that humans are meant to exist in? ✌🏻

Talking to my GP he believes that ALL of those with ADHD are Autistic! There are SO many cross overs between the two that my GP is working on properly connecting the two. My youngest daughter has ADHD and most likely got it from me. Alas, my ADHD (I am NOT hyperactive) hasn't made my life easy or made me business minded. Instead I have a 30+ year poly drug habit with the last 20 being Heroin! So no, it certainly ain't a good thing.
