Lovely as always ♥️
A great fitting dress can be a wardrobe hero. I love the ones that you shared. My dress collection grew quite a bit last year as well.
I shifted away from them so much when I did capsule wardrobes but I love how a great dress makes you feel!
really enjoyed this! 👏 I think it's so important to reflect on past purchases and really appreciate the item you got, and thinking ahead for future purchases... what works and what did not work as well for your personal style and life!
Thank you! I totally agree - it's a great way to set the tone for how you want to approach your wardrobe for the year ahead too :)
everything so chic as always but I gotta confess I love those pointed toe grey suede shoes!!1 you have great taste but especially on shoes!!!!
Aw thank you! x
Your style is just everything- I love your camel coat- compliments the denim and cream jumper perfectly!😍
Oh thank you so much! xx
This was really interesting to see. I feel like you have really found your style and what works for you this year. I think I am still finding that for myself. I also tend to go very minimal in colour palette but due to some trial and error am really figuring out what colours flatter me when I do want colour. I think I still need to purge my wardrobe but I am learning to be okay with owning less and being more picky with finding the right piece like you said, if its not exactly what I want, I won't buy it.
I definitely feel like I've nailed what I like to wear in winter for sure! Summer is always tricky when it gets hot here because you kind of want to wear nothing at all as it gets so sticky. Have you ever gotten your colours done? That can be really helpful in determining what works best with your skin tone (I've done this a couple times and it's always interesting). And yes - being fussy is a huge thing for me this year. If it's not "perfect" enough, I'm quite happy to let it pass - going back to how I used to be hehe! xx
Love your classic style! I’m embarrassed at how much I mimic your closet. Over the past couple of years I have really culled a wardrobe that works well together, mixes and matches and has elevated style and taste. Thank you, Jamie!
Nancy Prosser same here haha
Oh I love that! A classic wardrobe is the best, isn't it?
The camel and cream are lovely colors on you - they really make your skin glow!
Aw thank you! x
Beautiful choices! I can understand why you loved these looks :)
Thanks lovely! x
You look great in a dress! 🙌The polka dotted dress is a good fit and a fun print; the black linen dress with ruffles is very pretty. I also liked the jeans with the long blazer outfit. I too enjoy good quality items, and am working on a smaller wardrobe that I love.
Thank you so much ! x
I really like the pink sweater / white jean combo is very fresh combo, also love your camel coat, and the linen dress is perfection.
Thanks darling! xx
Love your style! So glad that i found your channel :)
Thank you!
You always nail the silhouettes! 💕 great outfit choices lovely x
Thanks Amanda!
Great video! Totally made me want a denim skirt to pair with all my cozy tucked in sweaters. Maybe you can make this a monthly series?
Aw thank you! I do love a denim mini with a big sweater
Jamies, fabulous collection, elegant, so chic, so you!
Thanks Karen
Hi love, thanks for the video. I probably write this under every single one of your videos but I love the minimalism of your wardrobe and the monochrome colors. The style really suits you and all the pieces go nicely together, giving you that seemingly effortless look of chic. P.S great selfie on Insta, the oversized hoops suit you. I tried to pierce my ears 2 years ago, and failed miserably as they tended to grow back every night, so eventually I gave up on earrings altogether. However I bought the Mejuri Loop earrings for my friend this Christmas, she absolutely loves them! So thanks for introducing them, as I first spotted these ones in one of your videos :)
Thank you Gayane - you're far too sweet! With earrings, I got mine pierced at age 4 so I have found even if I leave them out for a number of days, the holes don't close up. I used to wear studs in 24/7 though which I think probably helped. Also, that's so cool to hear you bought the loop earrings for your friend - I hope she loves them. They're the ones that I co-designed!
@@mademoisellejaime I know you have co-designed those! So cool, those are my absolute favourites among Mejuri earrings! Very delicate and elegant. She really loves them and has been wearing quite a lot since the Christmas, so that was a definite hit. Xx
Congrats on reaching 60k subscribers!
Thanks Charissa!
Hi Jamie, I like those silhouettes and fabric choices. My favorite pieces are both dresses, the off white and the solid black with frills. Classic and feminine and also new.
That grey cardigan is also timeless and sumptuous.
I'd love to see you experiment with a splash of colour or print to mix with your solids. I think you can definitely pull off a deep red or a purple, ya?
The dresses are gorgeous aren't they? I'm not hugely into 'colourful' pieces but I would like to try and add a bit more reds/terracotta and dark greens into my wardrobe this year where I can :D
@@mademoisellejaime sounds great. Looking forward to this year's videos! :-)
Hi there, fairly new to your channel. Really like your minimalistic style; it’s simple and very chic. Currently working on finding what works for me and your vids are helpful. Wanted to know where to find the black belt (time stamp 13:05) and also the bracelet you wore (same outfit). Also any recs for a brown/chocolate colored casual belt? I really think the right accessories help elevate an outfit. Thanks so much! Looking forward to future vids!
Thank you so much :) The belt is from Isabel Marant (bit.ly/2NIeaU2) though you don't need to spend that much. I think Uniqlo might do a similar one. I have a chocolate brown belt by a small independent maker called Sarah van Oosterom which I love (www.sarahvanoosterom.com/collection/standard-belt). It's very sturdy and goes with everything. Finally the bracelet is from Nadri - bit.ly/2Hi5npT xx
I'm in love with your style! You manage to create classic outfits with a twist and always just the right amount sexy. More videos please :)
Thank you so much!
I love your minimal style so much, especially for winter/cooler months. Although, it would be great to see some more summer-style stuff from you, rather than the European-winter wear. Don’t get me wrong, I love for it, but as a Perth gal, it would be great to see some minimal-chic summer styling and buying tips 😊
Thanks Jaz! I'm not sure if you missed them but I did have a few videos up that were very specifically summer focused in December and have more to come, including a new what I wore this week which I'm currently filming :) Despite loving the warmer months, my favourite outfits always tend to be the autumn/winter ones - I think cos they're a bit more interesting hehe. Happy New Year! x
I’ll take a look in your uploads list, thanks for the tip. I would love to see some more mid-range options as well :)
Hey Jamie! I wanted to ask, did your Mute by JL camel coat stretch after a few washes? I've recently bought one and it fits quite snug on my forearms
Thank you! X
Hey lovely, I don't think mine has stretched out at all; maybe it gave a little but mine has quite fitted sleeves and they've stayed that way. HTH x
What is the exact fit/name of your dr Denim jeans? I had a few pairs that really did not hold up well, so not a good investment at all. Yours look amazing and you've been wearing them for some time without them getting broken, so might want to check these out! However, the ones you linked are midrise, and the one you're wearing is high rise so not sure if it is the same one?
Hey Mandy, I have the Zoe (I think!) in the 25/32 which I've had shortened to fit my leg to the ankle. I don't know if they make that style anymore as I can't find it on the website. That sucks to hear yours haven't held up - I also have shorts from Dr Denim and they have been incredible quality so it's something I've come to expect. I'd actually like to try more from the brand so if I do have a different experience I will certainly be sharing it. Thanks for your comment Mandy! x
@@mademoisellejaime Thank you, I'll look into them! I had the PLENTY, which feel amazing but start piling super fast (at the butt area and where my bag and/or jacket touches it; I can't imagine what would happen if your thighs touch while walking...). So I do not recommend that type!
Can you let us know which size of the Mute by JL Camel coat you are wearing? I purchased it online but not sure if the size is right. I am 5-5, 110 lb and they mailed me a size small. Are you wearing a small or xsmall? Thanks!
Hey Angela, I just shot you an email - I'm wearing the size small x
What size are you wearing in the mute Cora and how Gall are you please
I have the size S and I am 172cm/5'8" xx
How do you stop your woolens getting moth holes? Thx x
I've never really noticed that to be a problem in our household, however growing up we always bought moth balls. I think you can get lavender scented ones these days too!
Hi Jamie! May I ask what size your Mute by JL camel coat is? Xx
It's the size small x
@@mademoisellejaime thanks Jamie! x
Do you size Down in the shirt you’re wearing since it’s oversized?
I find that Everlane clothing fits oversized just generally, so I get their shirts in a US2 (I'm between a US2-4 in other brands depending on the item) x
mademoiselle but if I get a 4 in their regular shirts should I still get a 4 in the oversized, or 2?
I would get your usual size then - the design is supposed to be a loose fit through the body and I think the proportions are pretty spot on. If you've got a more petite frame (I'm 5'8" for ref), then I think you could size down if you liked. Hope that helps! x
I really wanted to like the Everlane Cheeky Jean, but it is *so* not cut for my body. They fit me in the waist, but they bag out around my hips and upper thighs in a really unflattering way. I tend to have this issues with jeans that are cut for "curvy" figures. My ideal jean from Everlane is the very sadly discontinued Modern Boyfriend Jean. I've been looking everywhere for a similar jean because my beloved pair of mid-blue MBfJs are nearing the end of their useful life (I will keep them as "mucking around" jeans, but they have faded to a very pale blue, and they have developed a couple of small holes). I also have them in black and bone, but I wear blue jeans a lot more often. I don't like the silhouette of the newer "boyfriend" jean from Everlane, and their skinny jeans look terrible on me, so I'm kind of at my wit's end with the brand as far as denim goes. I have one pair of Levi's 501s (100% cotton, medium blue) that I like. I've tried ordering more but they never seem to be cut the same from pair to pair. Right now the 501s are the *only* pair of blue jeans I own that actually work well for me for day-to-day wear. I also have a great pair of skinny jeans from Betabrand - their "gay jeans," which are starting to fade so that the rainbow vertical threads are beginning to show, which is really cool. Anyway - suggestions for other brands and cuts to try are very welcome - if you or any of your viewers have ideas!
Have you tried the faded black ones? I find that they retain their integrity in a way the bone wash doesn't (personally I don't mind either way, but you gotta love how they look on you, right?!).
I can't believe they discontinued the MBFJ - I saw it was part of the CWYP sale but it hadn't occurred to me they were re-cutting this style. That does make a little bit of sense, I suppose, as the styles are refined based on shopper feedback etc, but sucks seeing as the style worked so well for you. I'll have to check out Betabrand, as those jeans sound really cool! And if I stumble across any other BF jeans which are a good fit, will definitely mention them x
@@mademoisellejaime I don't like Betabrand enough to recommend them, actually. They went viral a few years ago when they came out with the "Dress Pant Yoga Pant," (DPYP) which remains their mainstay in terms of women's clothing. Their Gay Jeans are super cool, but they haven't made them for several years. The thing that made me want to like the brand is that they act as a design lab for up-and-coming designers. But their fabrics have never impressed me very much, and many of the clothing items that end up getting funded and produced have weird little design elements that seem awkward to me. Like many of their sweaters have extra-long sleeves with thumb holes - as do the blazers that go with the aforementioned DPYP. The only other thing I've got from them that I've hung onto is my Morning Mess Jacket, which I still wear occasionally. It's a great all-purpose hooded jacket, but it's cotton and not water resistant, so it's not the most practical thing to wear during the cooler months in Seattle (which are also the rainy months).
i am the opposite of you: tight on top, loose on the bottom! ha ha Hope summer is not too brutal in Sydney at the moment!!
God way to balance out those proportions! Hehe - it's not been as hot as some years I don't think, but still melting. Thank god for air con! xx
Wait a minute, you work for yourself now? You quit your job at the station?!!
Yes I made the decision to go freelance in late 2018; I did mention it in one of my previous videos and have been thinking about doing a career Q&A in case anyone had questions :)
Congrats!!! Very courageous of you!
I love your style and colors! However,Please slow down talking🌹
I had to rewatch because your Monstera's new leaf kept stealing the show for me.
Hehe I love this! 🌱🌱🌱
