    Got mine 2 months ago. It looks amazing it’s super quiet and washes dishes extremely well. I waited 4 months to get it but it was worth it. I would’ve not been happy with anything else since I have a wolf range and a subzero.

      We are a retailer in New Jersey, not the manufacturer... however, Cove (owned by Sub-Zero & Wolf) built this dishwasher from scratch. This is not like Kenmore. Cove invested heavily in R&D to make a great product.

    I purchased a Cove Dishwasher two months ago. It won’t start. An error message came on to call for service which I did. Cove told me to turn the breaker off to recycle the power to the dishwasher, that didn’t work. I called for service which will take 8 days to get. So much for it lasting 20 years when it barely made 2 months.

    • @joekeller887

      @@Nostromo_1 UH, OK. And you're an expert? The point wasn't manufacturing but in the fact that recalls do happen - yes, even to giants (thanks for recognizing that and boosting my point by suggesting how big Toyota is in comparison) such as Toyota who sell over "10.5 million" and yet have to recall MILLIONS: www.nbcnews.com/businessmain/toyota-hold-worlds-biggest-car-recall-16-years-1c6374378 "The recall involves 7.43 million vehicles worldwide sold under the Toyota and Scion brands. This is the largest safety-related service action the maker has announced since it began a series of recalls related to the risk of unintended acceleration in late 2009. That and other safety issues led Toyota to recall 14 million vehicles in 2009 and 2010." There I provided a source for EXACTLY what I was saying - so how again is the comparison "stupid." @UnixGoldBoy 5 лет назад +1

    Reliability? That's unknown since it's new. If you want to compare it to the regular Sub-Zero product, reliability is poor. We have a 2-year-old Sub-Zero refrigerator at over $11,000 and the motor has been replaced twice. Also, we have a $4,000+ wine cooler from Sub-Zero that has only broken once in 2 years. Before that, we had GE Monogram that never broke in almost 25 years of use and we finally decided to get rid of them because they were outdated.

    • @DesignerAppliances
      @DesignerAppliances  5 лет назад +1

      You are correct and I agree we can't comment on reliability with 100% certainty quite yet. However we are forming our opinion on the fact that Cove is offering a 5 year parts and labor warranty which is 5 times longer than almost all other dishwashers warranties. Also, we have been to the Cove manufacturer plant and have seen the engineering work as well as the care that goes into assembly and testing. With all products it's possible to have unforeseen issues, however we are pretty confident Cove has done everything they can to engineer a dishwasher that is built to last. With that said, if something goes wrong, you are covered for a full 5 years which will hopefully give potential customers the piece of mind to give this new line a try.

    I'll read the Consumer Reports unbiased review when available. "Low $2,000s" still sounds like a lot for a dishwasher. Subzero refrigerators have the worst repair record, according to Consumer Reports.

    • @DesignerAppliances
      @DesignerAppliances  5 лет назад +5

      $2,000 is definitely a lot of money for a dishwasher. While we are reviewing the features and reasons you may want to consider a Cove dishwasher, this is by no means a full on in-depth review. Since we are a retailer, we try to stay out of that territory, since as you said it may be perceived as biased. Manufacturers like Cove are usually trying to sell you a "lifestyle", and will show you families cooking together in their kitchens, or a parent taking clean dishes out of the dishwasher with kids playing in the background. We try to focus more on the merits of the features of the products to give more context to your buying decision. Also, in regards to consumer reports and Sub-Zero, they rate Sub-Zero 8/10 for reliability and 9/10 for owner satisfaction so I'm not sure where you are getting that information from. In our experience when it comes to built-in refrigerators like Sub-Zero, as a retailer we have less headaches with we sell a Sub-Zero and if there are issues, Sub-Zero tends to take care of them very quickly.

      We have owned a Cove dishwasher since May 2019 and have had the service tech out 3 times already! It does a horrible job cleaning. The top rack items are just as dirty at the end of a cycle as when we put them in and we pre-rinse everything. This dishwasher is CRAP!!

    • @Shahrdad
      @Shahrdad 4 года назад +1

      I own a $7,000 Subzero fridge that has been practically rebuilt from scratch. It has broken down so many times, and it always managed to break down before a major holiday. I would pitch it in the dumpster if anyone else made a fridge that would fit into that space. Meanwhile, my $800 Amana fridge in the basement has been working flawlessly since 1993 without a single issue.
